How much btc do you need to secure your future?

Every country has a different standard of living, but for my country I only need 3 BTC to live safely and comfortably. With 3 BTC I can buy all
the necessities of life that I need, and can open a small business to become a source of income. When I get 3 BTC, I can make my future secure.
So I am indeed active in the crypto world struggling to earn at least 3 BTC to secure my future.

Those who name different numbers of btc - try not to stick to current price. If tomorrow bitcoins price reduces to 1,000 USD, what will you do them in future? It wont already secure your future.

up even having no job nor investment you can still make out amount presumptions but still basing off on what kind of life you've been targeting on but since
you do have lots of money then that would really be on that extravagant side of things.

Some analysts speculate that even 0.2 will equal big wealth in 10 years because there's no way for bitcoin to be mediocre. It's going to be big or it's going to disappear and be forgotten.
Taking the above into account, it's stupid not to at least try to get that 0.1 BTC because you have 50/50 chance of making a deal of a lifetime when Bitcoin hits 500k USD and what do you have to lose? If you bought last year that would be less than 2k, that can be worth 10k this year and 50k in 2030.

Obviously this depends on where you are located.  Such as if you live in an expensive place in the US or Canada, then its a lot more than in other countries.  Also if you are young, middle age or older.



I always felt the number had to been minimum 10 if you asked me this years ago.  But now with news articles and videos saying btc true value is somewhere in the 300-400k range... well that 10 btc number certainly is a bit high.  I guess the number probably is minimum 5?  Then again you hear old videos where people say... just make sure you have just 1 bitcoin...as that is enough.  Thus if it goes to 1 million dollars... well that is a lot of money.  Even after taxes, that is a lot.   But when people say its half a million or a million, well then that number could drop to say 2 or even 3.



And i see many people on this forum talk about not having 1 btc and its their goal to get 1 btc.  Obviously back then, it was much easier with the low prices.  But now... anyone who wants 1 btc need to spend 25k... thats a ton of money for most people and most people don't even have that in their savings.  But for someone who is from the West... thus in the US or Canada... what number would you say that should be?  Of course it could be in a wealthy country in say Asia, Europe or Australia.  But you get my point.  I got to assume if you talking about 10 years down the road or more... it has to be minimum 5?  Or minimum 10?  Or is 10 a bit too high?

As the price of Bitcoin has soared to about 50K USD so I think 5 will be enough for a person to live a happy life for about ten years. The price of BTC will further increase up to about 140kUSD in a month or two or a year and 5 BTC will be worth more than 6 billion dollars, which is a huge amount of money. But the question arises how are we going to get that BTC .

For that example, it's unavoidable since there are people who can't be satisfied with what they've got. They will keep  aiming for much bigger savings to put inside their accounts.

At least, it proves that humans will never be satisfied with just being rich, because over time there will always be many different needs that will keep you working to get bitcoin and whatever assets there are and that will never be enough, because as long as there is still a chance to get it then they will never stop.

Human behavior that most have, it's funny since those who can't hold 1 Btc  are claiming that it's enough for them to save for the future while in the other side, those who already have 1000 Btc are still seeking to keep more to sucure their future.

it depends on how you look at the prospect of btc. if you believe it can hit $1m each, then one btc can safely secure your future. however, if you are greedy and perceive the bit's future as dim, then maybe ten or fifty bitcoin. but as I see it, nothing can secure your future except constant learning. the only perpetual thing in the world is change. who knows what would happen? what if you accidentally lost your passwords of digital wallet...
right?

indeed change is what you need . if you are greedy now changed that habit because no matter how much btc you have , all of those btc are still going to run out  and let say that if you still have a btc left but you lost access to your wallet .

how will you going to live a life with less money with you ? this is why i practice myself to be versatile so that i wont worry and i can still live a peaceful life with or without money .

Actually people can't be satisfy via want really them want especially in cryptocurrency, because everyone is looking up to larger values of crypto for other investment and other targets, from me i know vividly I can be OK with 3btc attacks with manual business, so I don't really need much Bitcoin to be secured my future, because of diversification of business, and somebody can have 1btc and be OK for rest of he or her life due to personal strategies apply to elevate its self.

Some prominent people in bitcoin space says that owning at least 0.2 or 0.3 amount of bitcoin is enough in order to become one of the 1% of population who is surefire to become rich just by owning a fraction of bitcoin, some even says you need to have more than 15 BTC or even more.

However, I think it would be impractical to limit yourself from those numbers and stop accumulating. These are just statistics to evenly spread the wealth based on supply and the current amount of BTC that is circulating. I personally do not have a speficific number in mind since I aim for long term accumulatation even if it means selling a small amount for my needs -- steady but slow will still suffice.

Just accumulate as much as possible without giving yourself a limit. That's the goal to secure yourself.

when you set a limit for yourself, it's very likely that you slack off when the goal is achieved. like...if you think 15 btc is enough to secure your future, then when you really have 15 btc, you might stop trying and you laze around, which probably leads to the loss of money and ambition as well, then you sell your bitcoin. No limit, keep trying

It will depend entirely on your cost. You can calculate an estimated amount by calculating how much money you spend in your daily life. It will be different for each person. Someone's life goes on with a little money and someone's demand keeps increasing day by day.

Many, many people have commented that they had wished they were able to know about Bitcoin in 2011 or even 2013. Many of us here were latecomers to the Bitcoin party. Most of us also have heard of it one time in their life but has decided to invest only little, and some of us invest big and sold in 2017 when it reached $20,000. But I'm holding it not because I hope that "in 10 years bitcoin price will reach half a million US dollars", but to bring my dream come true. I want a motorcycle. I've already spent a lot on gear and on the lessons. Due to covid19 and winter I had to pause learning for a bit. But hope in a month I will continue.

Since i live in a country which currency doesn't have much power, even years ago, 1 btc is already hard to achieve. Like, you have to spend years without spending your salary to achieve that. And now, once btc already rose so high, achieving 1 btc seems like a hard work. Not impossible though, but it will take.... years. even more longer years.
I think having 1 btc is enough to support your live, alone, in my country for at least 6-7 years. and you can live quite luxuriously with that, and without needing to do any job.
And if btc price keeps getting higher, having 1 btc is really a miracle enough for many people.

I agree with you that there's never enough money. The problem is that these 10 btc may no longer have the same value in the future as they do now. This is life, you never know what will happen tomorrow. So it's kinda difficult for me to say how many bitcoins I need to support my life. I'm living in the moment.

People doesnt like for their money to get depleted and anytime if they do make out some expense then they would really be thinking for asking for more because they are afraid
that they would really be going back on being a poor person or to those normal days on the time he havent those money in his pocket.This would really be a unlimited

I agree with you that there's never enough money. The problem is that these 10 btc may no longer have the same value in the future as they do now. This is life, you never know what will happen tomorrow. So it's kinda difficult for me to say how many bitcoins I need to support my life. I'm living in the moment.

If a person is educated in financial literacy, he will lose these 10 BTC as soon as he gets them even within six months of the current course. Therefore, no happy life is at stake.

What about using the btc to make money via passive income like rentals?  Say someone is from the US.  If they cashed out say a million dollar profit after tax from crypto... so they made over a million plus dollars and after taxes, profit l million dollars in their US bank account.


How much money could they make a year with a million dollars for passive income?  If you buy a rental or two rentals, would that be good enough if you have low living expenses?



But obviously its best to not sell all your btc.  But how much money after tax would you say is good enough to use your crypto for passive income?  I always heard you could just buy the S and P 500 in stock market and have a good ROI that way.  Thoughts on that?

For current price, it look like 10 btc will be enough to get me out of my job for life.
But I'm not sure that will guarantee happiness. Meanwhile, even though I don't have anything of high value, I am grateful to have a happy life. Sometime happiness can't be measured by money. Financially, we will never have enough if we are not grateful.
Although money can buy everything we want, sometime it will only make it more difficult for them and reduce the quality of life. Money cannot secure the future we want. Have you ever heard that someone who wins the Jackpot has to die for that win?
