The ledger nano data breach has been making many people not to want to use ledger nano again and also putting many people in doubt. Some people were threatening even on calls and messages and also many phishing attempts. It will not be advisable to buy ledger from the ledger wallet official site, it will only still expose your data to the world which can be very detrimental in the future or later. If you see a trusted reseller, that is still good and make sure it is new if you after your open it. It will newly generate you seed phrase and also you will be able to set a pin.
How insecure is it to buy from an unofficial reseller? Could the firmware have been modified?

It makes me insecure that it does not come with any security seal although this is done on purpose
