50,000 bitcoins? And you bought the bitcoin in 2010? Are you serious? I don't know why but I am not sure if it is a true story. If you bought the Bitcoin in 2010, you must sell it in 2017 once the Bitcoin price increase significantly. At least, you must sell some of your Bitcoins. I think you won't hold all your Bitcoins for more than 10 years. Also, it means you are an experienced investor, you won't ask people for suggestions like this way. Please don't tell a fake story!!!

Well, if you really mean it and own such amount of Bitcoin then, great! Just be careful what exchange you send it to do you don't get your account flagged for whatever reason. Just like the bank could flag you I'd they notice a very large sum of money sent into your account.

Hello
after 12 years i remember i bought bitcoin in 2010
is it possible to sell more than 50,000 bitcoins at once or is it better to sell direct to a private individual like grayscale or microstrategy?

You still own 50,000 BTCs?
It would be better if you could sign a message from the address so that we can believe that you are not fooling us around lmao.
It would be great to see someone just made the wisest decision 11 years back.
Coming to the part of selling it, then if you sell 5 Bitcoins a day, it will take you 3 years to sell those and to not come under the government’s supervision.
You can also invest some capital at some business (Gambling site) can be perfect.
Hope to see some updates from you.

If I have more than 50,000 BTC Bitcoin from 2010, I will not sell them all at once. Because the Bitcoin price can still go up even higher, so it's
a bad idea if the opening post is planning to sell out all at once. My advice is only to sell it, it's really needed, just keep  the rest in a hardware
wallet. Imagine if it turns out that Bitcoin this year can actually reach the price of $ 100,000. You will regret selling all the Bitcoin you have.
Because if you keep HODL some of the Bitcoin you have, I'm sure the benefits you get can be much greater.

Hey buddy, tell me I'm wrong.
I picture a 30 year old guy over weight living in his mothers basement , never had a job. Waiting for his mother to come home from work with a pizza for you .
There you'll sit dreaming with pizza dripping down your chin ,savoring all the attention your getting on this forum.
What others are you on?  Are you an anonymous winning race car driver too.
Don't fall asleep with that pizza still in your mouth .your Mom can't afford the funeral cost after supporting a loser like you .
hahahaha...it's interesting Shocked

To answer your question directly, yes, yes you can actually sell them all, but that would be the worst decision there is, we all know that BTC is yet to hit it's new ATH in the next bull run, and if you do sell them all, it would be a big waste, and selling $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin is actually unnecessary, call it an overkill.

Quite interesting in knowing what did you ended up choosing to do OP. It's nothing of my concern but I would really like to know how you structured your investment (what you plan to sell, what you plan to keep, if you're considering donating to a charity, etc etc).

You are great indeed, for you to hold onto such amount of Bitcoin till date show much about your resiliency in terms of Bitcoin price fluctuations. Having such amount of Bitcoin and want to sell them shouldn't require sending to centralized exchange but decentralized exchange, just for safety purposes. Also, ensure not to send whole stash of coins into exchange because of unnecessary flagging of accounts.

In the end it is up to you to decide. If it were me, I would sell a small portion, and the others would wait for the price to continue to rise.

You'd better trade him separately, this is not a small amount. If you trade too many bitcoins at a time, it is likely to be a danger to yourself, it is better to choose to sell a small portion of it for your daily life.

Wow. So many bitcoins. Do you accept my 10 pizzas as a swap?

I wonder if that's true. If there are still people that own a monstrous amount of bitcoins that were bought/mined back in 2009/10. I want to discuss this, so I created a topic: /index.php?topic=5312836

LOL Tongue You expect 0.1 BTC in return for that person. isn't that too little bit.
It's nothing compared to 50,000 bitcoins. It's like taking you 1 dollar out of 500,000. You won't understand any difference.

damn that's a lot of Funds , 50,000 Bitcoin ? So you're one of the early adopter  and one of the person that becomes Billionaire .

Never put all eggs in single transaction , better put at least 5,000 per transaction , You are a very lucky person mate and hope you'll use the funds in a right way .

Hello

Hey mate congrats if you really discovered that you own such large amount of Bitcoins with you when the prices are surging above $30k at this time but if you want to sell your Bitcoins you need to be very careful and follow some steps for processing such transactions.

"Financial restrictions"
There are some financial restrictions over the exchanges or say limits set up against your account and you can withdraw only upto that much amount so you need to sell your coins on patch basis meaning selling in portions which will in turn not lead to price dump situation in the market because you are saying about 50000 Bitcoins which are more than $1 billion and it can lead to panic in the market with single transaction.

1) Sell over any Exchange:You can sell over any legit exchange as you know if you are not new to the market but be sure they don't freeze your account on temporary or permanent basis as you can loose access to your wallet

2)P2P: You can sell directly to anyone in your reference and who is willing to buy that much of coins from you.It benefit are you can trust that person and moreover you can avoid government regulations and taxes and security breaches over the internet

3) OTC Excganges: You can directly contact with the buyers here without any third-party party intervention and sell to them directly but it's difficult to find buyers of such large amount of coins.

Here is list of some of exchanges and their rates on which you can sell large amounts of your btc
Sell your coins

Its really wonderful feeling when you discover you became rich at very unexpected moments best of luck to you OP.

Another troll again? You made me remember someone announce has large amount funds and want to distribute by posting your address on the reply [1]

After many beggar posting the address to that thread (12 pages) and no one has receive it until now, the thread also has been locked.

If you're serious you need to follow this requirements :
1. Sign messages
2. Create thread in "games and rounds" and let people reply with their address, because this thread isn't appropriate (it's spam and broke forum rules)

I suggest you sell a small portion of Bitcoin first. The future price is difficult to predict. If the future price continues to rise, you can still make more profits.
