That is a good strategy, it keeps you away from people that will hinder you financially. I too do the same, the best thing to do is to not flaunt that you are dealing in bitcoin in your social media platform so that you are not in anyone's radar, the satisfying thing is there will be people that is not going to believe that you will ever succeed and then suddenly you are having a vacation somewhere that they want to go and then they will be talking to you about how you did it but you will not spill the secret, let them suffer about not knowing how you got that far ahead of them.

In real life, I hated the thing that other people are deciding for myself. I like to decide for myself and I know the risks of it as always and I'm ready for whatever situation will happen. Like in this case, its good that you didn't listen to what they are saying . Lucky for me, no one knows Bitcoin here aside from me so no one will decide aside from me. Lets go holders .

Don't be too full of yourself before you let over confidence makes you make the worst decision of your investment journey. You're still new in the industry and first timer luck could be on your side at the moment and beside the sensitive currently in the community is bullish so obviously any decision made now that involve holding would turn out to be the best decision but that won't be the case in months to come unless you'll be bold enough to hold through all the corrections that'll be coming.

You're already in profit so taking some break won't be a bad decision, there's going to be a correction and that's a fact, nobody can predict exactly when this correction will occur but you should be vigilant if you know you don't have the emotional strength to stay strong when the market sensitive has turneyti the opposite direction.

But nevertheless congrats on winning twice, first was for buying bitcoin when it was about kicking off this impressive runs it's currently on and taking the decision of holding when everyone was advising to sell that the market dump was on the way.

Trusting my gut feeling is the worst possible strategy.My gut feeling has always told me to sell Bitcoin at the wrong time.
The only right approach is just to forget about the Bitcoin price.Just get as mush Bitcoin as you can,leave it in some cold wallet and HODL for years.Do not track the Bitcoin price,because it will distract you and you will sell your BTC at the wrong time/price.
I would never tell my family or friends that I own Bitcoins.Getting financial advise from financially uneducated people is even worse than trusting your gut feeling.

bitcoin price even though it has decreased it is actually a correction to go up to a higher price. so I think don't ignore anyone, because actually bitcoin has the potential to go up even more. So my advice is to hold and sell bitcoins when bitcoin prices are high

That's good for you mate. Always trust your instincts and guts because at the end of the day all of their sayings are just opinions and the final decision will always come to yourself. The dropping of the bitcoin's price is just a correction and I do believe that you know that because you just laugh when your family says to sell it already when the price got dump. I used to see these kind of topics in the past where the family is involved in your investment. I cannot understand why family is getting involved in your business. We will see a market correction and it is inevitable but you need to understand the market situation and take decisions accordingly rather than taking advice who have no idea about the market.

I have picked up a rule of thumb from someone I respect really much: Do not ask or listen to advices coming from a person who is not where you want to be.
So it is common sense to not listen to someone who does not have a good track record in investing. Even in that case, you need to take into account their area of expertise. Always question the trustworthiness of the source. Buffett does not believe in Bitcoin and its value proposition and he missed on some pretty hefty returns so far.

It good to avoid people negative influence consider something you genuinely know is truth and have confidence in but sometimes ones also need to take the people to influence statement into consideration, reshape it for better upliftment in other to avoid overconfidence circumstance.
Nevertheless, you selling some portion of your holding when the market was $40K wont hurt and you can even buy back now. Bitcoin is a good potential coin but crypto market is a fluctuated market and it future price is not promised invest carefully.

I used to see these kind of topics in the past where the family is involved in your investment. I cannot understand why family is getting involved in your business. May I interject something in here, the business you're saying is the trading right. Then there can be situations where you as a trader borrow capital from your parents as you see something to grow, and can earn some from it. By opening the situation, proper explanation, and planned action. You can gain some loans from your parents instead of outside sources. This would be free from taxes and interest.

But by borrowing from relatives (parents), as a family, they would be concern about what would happen, and just say something even if they are less knowledgeable about it. Thats just how it works, and we as the traders have the right mind to make decisions to see if their concerns are necessary or not.

He really wasted the opportunity to take advantage of the new ATH but I can't blame you if you have a much higher expectation towards bitcoin.

A price of $45k or $40k is already profitable for you but it is your choice and decision on what you are going to do with your bitcoin.

Well, OP didn't tell us that what they bought was a  complete Bitcoin or just a fracture of it. Buy a complete Bitcoin at that price and hodling till now is a huge ROI already. Only a few companies can pay what we have in difference between capital and profit to employees as salaries per annum, covering four years.

Pointedly, trusting one's gut feelings has to come from a place of emotional stability of the person involved. Otherwise, it would be great teachings without real practical. Also, remember that those who fear to take risk end up not being achievers.

Getting influenced by other's opinion is the worst thing anyone could do and we have seen a lot of people getting influenced by their peers, family members as well as some random guy over the forum or any other social media platform. It would be better if we could do proper market research along with our gut feeling. I was lucky I forgot I had some amount of Bitcoin in my wallet back in 2016 which I have used to trade.

At least your family are supporting you to choose bitcoin as your investment place, that will be a plus value to you. Comparing to me even many people out there who just afraid and prohibit their family to not choose bitcoin as an investment place.

As for your decision, indeed it is a good way to just believe to your strategy. They will not know how feel when there are investing in bitcoin, you will feel by yourself how bitcoin price increase all the time and how your psychology to face many situation. But I just suggesting you to be carefull, sometime you have to change your target price when something bad happen.

The future and sake of your own funds relies primarily on conducting a good decision making so better keep yourself up and build your trust on the decisions you will make and do not let other people even your family put any pressure on you to sell your Bitcoins even on a very desirable price (unless needed) for such opportunities of having Bitcoin came from $10,000 purchase is considered as a rare opportunity to come since the price of Bitcoin is far beyond that price mark already. Surely you have already gained a big amount of profit from the new ATH that Bitcoin have attained so better keep moving no matter what other people say because in the end it will just be your own success or suffering that depends on the decision that you will make.
