Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor?

Ity's already given that Manny Pacquiao will beat and maul McGregor, but what people wants to see now is how much beating McGregor is going to get, since this is boxing and he has the worse style in boxing, the big proof is his match against Mayweather, but if it's an open style that's will generate greater interest, because Pacquiao will be in a different world of fighting

As a bettor i would also definitely place my bet for Manny Pacquiao against Conor McGregor. Though i do believe in both player's capability and ability to give aundience and fans of boxing game a good fight to watch for but i have still a strong guts that if ever these game may push through there is no doubt that Manny Pacquiao will going to dominant the game. However as i have said, lets is not just give tims that have been stepped out after they have finished the studies or somewhat.

This fight is close to happening. But for when, that's the question.

At 42 years old, Pacquiao still has a long lineup. He should fight at least 2 times a year. But with that age and I think I read elsewhere that after 2-3 fights he will now hang his gloves, (the first count against Broner, 2nd Thurman so 3rd last?). He is still in his shape so only he knows when to retire.

As long as i have being a boxing fan i remember Manny Paquiao taking long breaks and goes to semi retirement and the only reason he said he is returning is to raise money as he needs money for charity and a Conor McGregor fight could be a retirement fight as he could earn over $100 millions and it could be his biggest payment in his boxing career and hopefully he spends them wisely and not return again.

If Conor McGregor is active then it will be good for the UFC as well as they can make a massive profit for the year and they can recover the loss they encountered last year and hence it is not a big surprise.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Paquiao’s political commitments. I doubt either of the fighters would be properly training or would take the fight seriously.

If you remember he Floyd Mayweather fight, Floyd was smart enough to put the fight together fast, they had a meeting and then signed the contract on May and the fight happened in August giving Conor just two months to make a debut in boxing and that too against the best defensive boxer. It was a tactical ploy from Mayweather but Manny paquiao will not pull those things and they will have a serious bout, because if Manny Paquiao losses to a fighter who is fighting is second professional bout who was defeated by Mayweather it will dent his reputation and Conor will work hard to regain his status.

And as of the majority of those comments, people are in favor of Manny Pacquiao as he has the experienced and skills of a pro boxer, while McGregor, although is young, is not that experienced with boxing.

Of course, this is boxing, even thr4 best boxer in Pacquiao cannot beat him why someone who is an outsider in boxing, Mcgregor will be beaten and he will be mauled even if this is an exhibition match, but it's going to be entertaining and I want to see Pacquiao humbled McGregor, maybe after this fight, Manny can retire.

Not far from saying the very truth, even in exhibition fight Manny Pacquiao will defeat his co raver McGregor becasue of his strength inside the boxing ring. You have raised one important point about Manny Pacquiao retirement, hopefully after this fight or another he might set for his retirement as family members supported that.

When it comes to retirement talks then he's the only one would able to know on when he would definitely hang-off his gloves and retire and even though he's a current senator on said country
but still he do able to balance off things where his job + the sports he's into.He hadnt able to neglect his training and still continuing to maintain his body in shape.
We dont know if he tries to make money for this fight and definitely retire in boxing or we would see his last non-exhibition fight because we know that this fight
isnt really something serious to bring enjoyment on him as a fighter. McGregor is great but wont really be enough if he's inside the boxing ring.

The reason on why Pacquiao entered into the boxing world is due to his dire need of cash. In my honest opinion, this is one of those fights that gives him relatively 'easy' cash in his pocket so I do not see any reason not to pursue this fight.

There are plenty of options to have these “easy money” for Pacman. Just promote some product and dont risk getting punched in the face. This is not an exhibition fight. Even though Pacman is a real legend and dont skip trainings, I’m sure he will need to put some efford or at least get sweated while fighting Conor. Conor is not like a blogger Mayweather fights agains, he can strike back.

Also there is the political ambition as well to run for the highest office in the Philippines, so he needs that money to fuel that.

Higher than his position now is probably vice president or max as President.. Manny is not talking about running into presidency and I think even if he has the money, he will no win because people knows he is not knowledgeable enough to run a developing country.

I'm a fan of Manny but with that ambition, it's a thumbs down for me. It's still too early for him to run for the presidency. But IIRC, he had talked about that before and that's what I think why he's not going to retire any time soon until the next elections.
But for the benefit of the doubt, as he had promised, his fights and profits will be allocated to the most affected people and community during this pandemic.

Starting with beating Poirier I want to see The Notorious get back to his best & become world champion again. It’s all set up for a massive pay day against Khabib again. It is a cross promoting and even though Conor McGregor is not having enough experience inside the boxing ring, he is more than talented enough to fight against the best boxers in the history of the boxing and you think that should be an exhibition match.

Most people who would watch this fight are all solid fans of both Pacquiao and McGregor. There is nothing much to expect on it but still interesting to watch since both of them are great athletes. This is for pure entertainment purposes only and there is no argument needed who will win since boxing is Pacquiao's forte. I admire McGregor for trying different types of sports to test his fighting skill.

He will continue to make money, that's what billionaires do, money is power for them, so we don't have to doubt that.

It may not make a big difference but $10 million or more is a big money, of course he can use that in the election but he doesn't really need that anyway as  he is already very popular, if he will run still in the senate, then there's no doubt that he will win, but for President, that's another story.

Rodrigo Duterte is currently doing a good job as the President of the Philippines. So personally I don't think that Pacquiao should aim for the presidency in the immediate term. Rather than being over-ambitious, he should slowly build his political career and give at least 10-15 years in to it. Being the president of a country is no simple task. It requires a lot of experience and practical knowledge.

Nah, even with his experience and knowledge, Pacquiao won't ever be a good candidate for presidency.

Reason is that his decisions are always clouded by his religious beliefs. And as we all know, politics and religion should be separated no matter what.

The problem with Ph. politics is that popularity, even though they have no job experience regarding politics, is the major factor for winning a major position in the government.

As for your first statement sentence, nah, he will be replaced after this term by someone who won't just sit idly as another country claim islands in the Phil.

I was looking for future possible fights in boxing where I can bet and stumble upon this news. apparently, both side has been in talks of possible fights between Pacquiao and McGreggor.

I visited my Barber the other day for my Haircut and shocked that the topic going around is about this Possible bout .
I wasn't expecting something like this specially now that the Boxing industry is having difficulties gaining attendies because of the recent failure of Tyson vs Jones fight.

I am a huge fan of boxing and seeing great boxing fighters with decades of experience fighting amateurs(yes, consider McGregor an amateur at least in the boxing world) is really disappointing and is derogatory to the sport. but I'd still watch the fight though. can't pass a Pacquiao fight especially when he can retire at any moment now due to his age.

Same Feeling here , i don't actually believe that Famous Senator boxer Manny Pacquiao will take deals like this.

You know how politics in our country, I know that somehow many voters have been opened up their minds and won't vote anymore for those candidates that are just famous for what they are. He's a senator and it's still not just his time and he has to give the right candidate for the position which he can simply support while waiting for his time on that position. Although, I believe that even if he's wanting and willing on that position, he'll still lose if someone more competent and has a good track record will run.

Maybe he's afraid to fight younger fighters in order to not stain his legacy but i doubt that, he even fought Keith Thurman to silence critics. Maybe you're right his just in for the money but i doubt that. He has a good paying job as a politician. I can see he's just trying to replicate Floyd maybe he wants to show the boxing fans that he can do better and put on a good show. That way Floyd will get encourage in fighting him.

I don't think he's afraid of some young guns, if one can match Manny's weight and the deal is closed from the promoters he could still fight. Maybe they can close the deal with Ryan Garcia if Garcia fought first Gervonta Davis that's what he said just recently from an interview. I'd never doubt that it may come but that depends to Pacquiao because I think Garcia is really itching to fight his idol. Fighting the greatest boxer is one of the best achievement what a boxer can possibly got but I believe that's not what Mcgregor aim since for sure as the  other user quoted in this message said he truly aims to get a millions of dollars after  this fight, For sure he knows that he can't defeat Pacquaio on this match but still its a win-win situation for him since he will still go home happy  with his millions  plus he will be listed on history that he fight the greatest boxer on this  era.
