Actually I am still surprised on how fast things changed in Conor's fight recently. It quite seem that he just allowed those punches to get in, I even had thoughts that he purposely threw the fight for some purpose because the turn of event did not occur with a single blow, it took many punches before he got knocked out, and not even getting his guard up. But this is just my theory regarding the fight. Going back with Manny, I guess he won't say something about this given that they're on different leagues. Also this match up is I think not considered as an official and professional fight and with that being said, there's really no need to heat things up between them other than a show off.

The reason why there are many fans for the UFC is that they put good fights but the boxing promoters usually does not provide the audience the fights they wanted to see and their business models are completely different and only recently the boxing fans are getting the match ups they wanted to see.

I don't know if I'd say it's impossible, but it's definitely a bit of a joke.  I've said it all along, Connor shouldn't be the joke in any fight, he should be fighting the joke.  Continuing to sell himself as a side show to get his ass kicked isn't going to work out for much longer.  He should take a fight against one of the Paul's and retire if he can't win a fight in the octagon anymore.

This match won't happen anymore as we all saw how McGregor is looking when it comes to a fight. I was surprised to see that some of the die hard fans of Conor McGregor is coming up with excuses once again for the defeat. He lacked activity and he lost his passion to fight and uncle Chael Sonnen is also making the same excuses, if that is true Conor McGregor has suicide plans if he clearly lacks the passion to compete and he is fighting despite the amount of money he earned.

Giving props to the opponent would be great rather than finding excuses for the loss and Dustin Poirier clearly had a game plan and he followed that and won the fight and Conor McGregor had no answer for his leg kicks.

With the loss the only way we could see a Manny Paquiao fight is to create a narrative that in boxing he is still great and due to leg kicks he lost the fight  .

I don't see how this would happen considering Mcgregor's current state. He's physically capable and all but it looks like the man already lost his passion. From that fight with Mayweather where he got clobbered in a fight he wasn't even well-versed in, he totally lost the passion in fighting. That being said, the guy just needs a break, they both still have their abilities with them and provided they both get proper training, in a match that's fair and square, we'll have something really good to talk about for decades to come.

Obviously they are just using their fame to make more money, but the loss of Conor recently would not help to market this fight, his reputation has been slowly destroyed in UFC as he is not anymore as consistent as he was before, I can understand the loss against Khabib, but this one is just unacceptable, he really loss the passion due to this ambition to make more money in other sports.

There's a sudden change from this awaited possible fight before, it's now becoming close to impossible to happen. The result from the latest fight of McGregor, people are eyeing now for the possible retrieval match against Poirier, McGregor vs. Poirier 2.
But that's Connor for us and I think it's still him who will decide to fight whoever he wants. Although, don't expect a match like this to happen anymore.

As I pointed on few pages back, if McGregor will lose, I doubt a fight against Pacquaio will be push.

Per news, McGregor, after his loss, that the Pacquiao fight was on, but he’s not sure now.

If only he was focused and mentally prepared on his recent match compare eyeing for Pacquaio, maybe the outcome will be different. He is comfortable because of his 2014 win. A rematch with Khabib is also not possible for now because of his recent loss.

Maybe guys we can now lock this thread in a few days as I don't see any negotiations that will take place on this Pacquiao vs McGregor bout.

Yeah, it's supposedly his ticket to the Manny Pacquiao fight. But it seems that he is really out of shape to me. The power in his left is gone, Justin ate a bunch and still standing and wasn't hurt. His excuse is that he needs to be active in the Octagon. This lost cost him another biggest payday besides the Floyd Mayweather fight.

A lot depends on when McGregor will play the next match and whether he will play at all. Although something tells me that Connor hasn't said his last word yet and will try to come back. Another question is that because of this lost match, we can probably forget about the possibility of a fight with Pacquiao for at least a year. Conor needs to restore his fighting reputation in MMA, and not to be engaged in conducting show fights in boxing.

That is a real statement, the mystic Mac is lost a long time ago and the career of Conor McGregor peaked at the right time and he made all the money in the world, he is just fighting to make more money in a short period of time without much sweat and enjoying his alcoholic drinks and i knew this was coming as there is no easy fight left for him in any division.

I bet if Conor McGregor rematches Max Holloway, he will loose against him as well considering how much he changed as a fighter and how much others have improved while Conor did not add anything more into his game.

I can say it again, UFC is only being carried by certain names in MMA. It is only as popular or as reputable as its fighters. Is there something wrong with it? In fact, I can say it with certainty that UFC will not last forever, or it may change hands, or it may go bankrupt, or lose popularity, etc.

With regard to the other statement. How many years has UFC been around? Can you even fairly compare that with boxing's history and legacy?
