Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin?

don't panic and don't worry bitcoin is only undergoing a brief correction. My advice is hold bitcoins and don't sell at low prices, because if you sell at low prices you will only get losses and disappointments

I think it also depends on what the money means to him. If he needs the money badly and cannot afford to face loss then I would strongly advice to sell before it drops and you feel depressed. If you can hold on for an year or two then one might be cashing their coins @500k and I am not even joking given the hike we saw this year.

Bitcoin price is any time to up and down. So wait for the bitcoin price then sell the bitcoin. If the price will be low that time buys and hold the bitcoin. Then wait for the price increase that time you sell or exchange any coins. So check the market price evevrydays. Then you get some ideas. Don't sell the bitoin wait and hold the long time.

Yes, maybe put a stop loss or sell order at a lower price in case the market crumbles overnight and you are unable to keep up with the drop. It is a serious problem for all investors when to sell and buy but people who have hold are more happy today and this means something .

Hi Everyone, I have a dilemma since I am holding an wholesome portion of bitcoin. With all the speculation going on in the market I don't know whether to sell or hold on my bitcoin. I've been wanting for more than a week to see if bitcoin's price improves, but it is only falling more and more.

I've gone through dozens of analysts' blogs, websites, market cap sites, price prediction sites, and all the important bitcoin market sites to find the right answer. But I am still unsure.

So, can anyone please tell me if I should dump my bitcoins with some losses (selling at lesser price than the buying price), or should I hold on to it?

There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

That's actually one of the common questions that we all have especially when we're all in the midst of being undecided where all we could do is just rely on other's opinions. As for me, things will depend on your objective. If you invested to gain a profit even just for a short period of time then it's already good to sell but if you have invested for a long-term hold then risking would be the bravest thing that you can do. Upon investing, you should know what your goal is so you won't have to rely on the decision of others.

Some people watch their portfolio grow over time when btc price climb and these people still watching when btc price again goes down. In 2017 many people didn't book profits when btc hit 20k and they want more. These same people sell their BTC under 10k when they lose faith by seeing a downtrend. BTC market is very volatile so it will be wise to book some profits when you still can.

That is what I am waiting for, maybe if bitcoin prices stabilize at around 35k for a week, I think selling it would be a good idea but many have regrets selling their coin because the moment that they sell it then the next day the prices suddenly skyrocketed. With the current prices, surpassing 40k is a pipe dream for the market, there seems to be a resistance that is preventing it and this one is stronger from back in the 20k price point.

Even if you wait longer than right after you selling it, you will regret it in the future when it becomes bigger. For example, the people who sold at 20k on 2017 peak would have been happy that they sold at the top, but if they didn't get back in later, and never bought any bitcoin ever again, they have missed 41k, that is a bit over double what they sold for, so basically they have missed on a 2x chance if they didn't get back in bitcoin.

We are talking about 3 year high being 2x missed opportunity, so it is always a regret to sell. Only time you should sell your coins is when you know what you want to do with the amount of money you have, if you sell it and use it for something smart, like repaying all of your mortgage type of stuff or student loans americans have, those are smart things but if it is not like that, you are going to be upset in the future for sure.

However we are the only one who can say if this is the perfect time to sell because we already see a profit. To answer your question, I wont sell my bitcoin at lesser price because it means I failed despite of my knowledge on crypto. I'd rather wait and hold, then forget that I invested in bitcoin and come back if the price is already acceptable to sell so I can take profit.

And Bitcoin is up again, a few thousand dollars in an hour or less! Bitcoin price moving surprised me many times in the last month or two...lucky I never cut loses with Bitcoin, I just leave them for the next price and rise, and that always happen, sooner or later!
As I said before, crazy times, and even thou many expect drop, we can see Bitcoin surpassing $40k, what more maybe we will stay there... questions that bothers me last days are: 1. Will we see $20k again?! What about +$10k?

Those so called "experts" have zero power over bitcoin as well, that is the point, if you have no influence at all then how could you even be an expert. Elon Musk wrote bitcoin on his bio and suddenly we are over 35k already, that should be enough to tell you how a person with real influence can change the market.

I can say bitcoin will go down as much as I want but as long as I can't convince people, who am I to call myself expert, all those so called experts are similar to me, they do not have any power over bitcoin more than me, which means they make up some numbers and predictions but fail to deliver because they are not really involved as much as they think they are involved. Your biggest problem is that seemingly you just bought your coins because of the fear or missing out and now you are in a bad situation, you need to learn from this experience and never make a trade unless you have a well defined strategy about what to do in every single circumstance that you may find yourself to be in, you do not know what to do because you never considered the scenario of bitcoin just not moving upwards anymore, if you can breakeven then sell and begin to learn more about the markets and create a strategy, otherwise this is going to keep happening to you.

I don't think being greedy is a factor why we should aim high, maybe we could just say that it was an ambitious dream that someone can do freely.

To me it seems the OP just wanted to obtain some easy and fast profits and was surprised when bitcoin took a downturn and now he does not want to sell for a loss, while understandable at the same time it seems he did not thought this very well and he seems unsure of what to do, right now the price has recovered somewhat so I suppose he should be closer to breakeven in which case he should sell as there is no way for him to obtain profits when he does not seem to be convinced in bitcoin as a project at all.

I think today is best for selling. If today dump bitcoin price you need long time hold. So i suggest you can sell now.

Never sell your Bitcoin at a loss, so selling Bitcoin when it is profitable. As long as it's not profitable, I recommend that you just HODL your
Bitcoin. Moreover, this year it is very clear that Bitcoin is still in a bullish trend, so there is a big chance Bitcoin will continue to rise in price.
