Floyd Mayweather offered Manny Pacquiao rematch after exhibition delay

Floyd Mayweather has been offered another chance to accept a rematch with Manny Pacquiao following his exhibition match delay.

The former pound for pound king was due to face a YouTuber opponent on February 20 but had to postpone.

Reports of low sales for the fight and the potential to wait for a crowd, alongside a clash with Top Rank’s world title card on the same night, have all made headway.

Mayweather is yet to confirm anything regarding the event. His team had not visibly begun to push the promotion of the Pay Per View either.

Therefore, the ‘Money’ man could be once again open to offers. That’s where Pacquiao could come back into play.

Sean Gibbons, head of MP Promotions, urged Mayweather to accept his advances to give the Filipino Senator a chance for revenge.

“Floyd, you can come and get some! Senator Pacquiao will send you into double retirement,” said Gibbons.

Fans will get what they deserve soon, and hopefully Pacquiao  will win so it will not be another boring fight.
The fight of Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather being cancelled was a good thing as it opens a new opportunity for this fight to happen.

I doubt it, Mayweather rarely does rematches, and he knew that this time around Pacquiao will not go easy on him anymore. Now, I'm not saying Manny is an inferior fighter compared to Mayweathwr but the thing is, Mannh thrives in knockouts while Mayweather works best in technicalities, so just like what Marquez said, Manny will only win if he would be able to knock Mayweather out, otherwise the fight will go towards Floyd's favor.

I think this is better than Garcia. We all want to see May-Pac 2 and both of the camps knew it as well that the fans wanted to see another fight from these great boxers.

If it's not Mayweather initiating the move then i doubt this would push through.

We all know the Money, he dictates want he want and don't want to be dictated.

Money knows that if the rematch happen, chances of letting go of that "0" is very high because of his inactivity inside the square ring.

Personally, i'd like this fight to happen as this would be some sort of a retirement fight for Manny Pacquioa and a safe one for him as Mayweather is more of a counter puncher.

Mayweather has nothing to prove anymore because he can't really prove it, if Manny will still lose in this fight, people will still not be convince as all he does in the ring is just to run all night, maybe if he can KO Manny cold then the debate is over, but it's unlikely to happen considering their status now.

The Logan Paul vs Mayweather hype failed, so this one should be an easy fight to hype and probably a $100 million for each fighter is easy.

Since he said that statement and if only he is true what he said, the rematch will be set in the coming days but the question if Manny will take that offer due to the current virus situation. It gonna be a long talk between both parties in regards to money rewards and if they were going to agree on the sharing terms.

Anyway, Mayweather is so clever, he never wanted to lose, and that it gives the doubts that this said May-Pac2 will have a little chance to happen but I look forward to seeing them on the ring once again and to prove who's the best.

if he will use the same tactic the he always had. then we will just be counting points here and not really see a toe-to-toe fight. its like cheating the boxing fans again. if he will run around the ring, better give the chance to other younger fighters. we know if this will push thru, he's only after the money that he can extract from viewers

Floyd beat Manny in their only fight, it's a unanimous win by Floyd but people are not convince with the win and got bored in the fight. Therefore if this rematch will eventually happen, I think the odds will be even as Manny is a champion now and Floyd has already retired focus on promoting fights only and fighting exhibition fights which requires less effort due to the quality of his opponents.

Pacman will probably have a better chance than the previous fight with Mayweather, these are due to the following reasons.

1-Pacman is more active than Mayweather
2-Pacman is smarter now.
3-Pacman has no shoulder injury anymore.

So,  people didnt really buy out this crap exhibition? As anticipated where people isnt really interested to see these fights which is most talking about cross-sports.

Here's actually the real deal about Mayweather-Pacquiao 2 where interest and hype will really be more than on what we had on the first fight.The question is,

would Mayweather would accept the challenge? That line of words is something that do prove out that theres some really serious money on this fight.
If he would take this one then that would really be the fight of this year 2021.

I think Pacquiao would be a slight favorite if the rematch did indeed happen. Mayweather isn't training like he used too and hasn't had a credible opponent in many years. Pacquiao has beaten part-time fighters like Broner and Thurman but these are still competitive opponents unlike McGregor who had no professional boxing experience when he fought Floyd.

Solely depends on Mayweather tbh. Pacquiao has been itching for a fight for so long, so I hardly doubt that the man would actually deny the chance of a rematch, but if Mayweather declines then nothing is going to really go forward. Still, though, if a rematch happens, you gotta admit, this is gonna get quite hyped up a lot, and it ain't even empty promotions at that time, it's just legit that good. Pacquiao is a Champion in Recess which means that there was no other fights ever since Keith Thurman, which could be a possibility that Pacquiao will not accept the fight, I do agree that the it is better than Garcia fight because I feel like Garcia should get on a bout with Gervonta Davis because as far as I know, Davis was the first fighter that he wants to fight after his match with Campbell, but there are looming rumors that a Garcia-Pacquiao will be a thing. I don't think that there will be another May-Pac fight in awhile, Pacquiao is busy as heck in his country as a Senator.

I think this is just a publicity stunt for Floyd since he is not already the talk of boxing now, at the same time it's not gonna be exciting, since Floyd wants all the condition advantages in fights, I have to be honest most of Floyd fights were boring, he a great boxer with the good records, but I'm not that convinced to all he's fights, he is just looking for a boxer who is not in prime, or sometimes do some tricks, viewers want a good fight not boring, at the end of the day, money is the priority, not entertainment but I respect him, but money is far better than Floyd in my view.

That is what I am worried if the fight will push thru. As usual, Mayweather will not be as aggressive as Pacquiao, and he will just do the running man style again.  But I really thought there was big hype about Logan Paul vs. Mayweather because Logan has a lot of followers. It seems that the potential earnings doesn't match the expectations of Mayweather.  So now, he is eyeing for Pacquiao.
