Manipulation of price will decrease soon?

Those so-called institutions you see buying Bitcoin in huge amounts will be the manipulators. They are not buying bitcoin to hold for 20-30 years for fun. They are here to make profits and whatever opportunity they have, they will go for it as long as the end product is profitable. They will long BTC, they will short it, they will set bull traps and bear traps just to make profits, so I say manipulation will still be there.
Certain stocks do have so many institutional investors, but we still do see manipulations happening from time to time.

I agree that profit is what motivates them but I I don't think we can really talk about huge amount and institutional buying is still more exception than something that happens regulary. Also, we can't expect institutional buyers are Bitcoin enthusiasts and of course they are driven by profit but doesn't necessary have to be a bad thing.

As you said, Tesla purchase didn't create huge changes... So should we really be worried about price manipulation? With so many different investors it seems really hard to manipulate bitcoin price. I believe many different corporations will invest in bitcoin, if they haven't done this yet, but the only risk for bitcoin would be if many of them joined together making coordinated movements in crypto market, that would be a real manipulation.
On the other hand if corporations stay independent among themselves and continue each one with their own goals manipulation will be a weak threat in this market.

It looks that the whales are changing. There is also a big market that most of us don't understand. The OTC market where the Grayscale is trading the GBTC is something that only a few in crypto have knowledge and can use them. Maybe manipulation will begin in this market next where only big players are allowed.

With the billions of dollars worth institutional money flowing into bitcoin, I expect to see decrease in manipulation by whales! However, whales are whales for a reason. They will probably move to other less known liquid cryptocurrencies to continue with their manipulation game and will continue to earn money. In essence, the method will not change but just the field will be changed.

However, with institutional money, more and more bitcoins will be locked out and taken away from supply. Not sure what kind of issues it will bring in! But the control should not be passed to the corporates! That might create big issues for us!

People talk about bitcoin price manipulation as if it is an established fact, yet there is not a single example.

Somebody please show me a documented example of bitcoin price manipulation. Note that simple buying and selling, and rapid changes in price by themselves are not examples of price manipulation.

Time may come that BTC price might stabilise due to huge volume of holders. But as the moment enjoy the price volatility and making profit, investors will not enjoy it if the market is boring. In a certain way "manipulation" should be an ambiguous term in this case, it is something that was wanted and was announced to happen, large companies are investing some by simple market situation, they follow trends and are beginning to be located, because a movement like Tesla's and the subsequent previous ones must not be forgotten, they have create the chain effect in traditional investors.

manipulation is not something that can be easily erradicted as it will always happen. big money flow from institutions and angel investors will always come and its only for profit. no institution is coming to buy at a high price to hold for long. they need to buy cheap or buy huge and cashout short time. its left for people willing to hold.

News from Tesla investment and their future plans to adopt bitcoin as payment method to buy Tesla products help bitcoin rising a lot. Why did you say "it did not create huge changes"?

Institutes have more strategies and good experts to manipulate the market. I believe they have better connections to news, media platforms and they can more easily to spread big fuds than personal whales.

The marketcap of bitcoin is still smaller than some Big Techs and the total marketcap of crypto market is smaller than stock market. I think it is still easily for whales, institutes to manipulate market.

Exactly, these investors will never let their investment die. They will work on it, make some hypes, do market manipulation, that is really the possible thing to happen in the market. In fact, that EM is one example, many known names are jumping in crypto already for this will do the rally the same as what EM did in the past days.

This so-called manipulation has no way to see its end, it is already a part of crypto, and that we have lived the market having this. Besides, this is not harming us, we are making a profit from this anyway.

Its the nature of the game dude, all the rich folk talk it up, you know like Elon etc, then they manipulate the market by posting little cryptic tweets, then you find out later they didnt really invest in the stock they tweeted about but a different stock, so then the stocks they tweeted about plummet and the stocks the yactually bought increase in value, job done, rich man richer, you poor people poorer........Following, the trends on bitcoin are up down up down but slowly up overall long term, play long term not short is all I can think off.... is announcement or news a manipulation ? no but if they want to manipulate they will act on manipulating it .

 we dont know the exact number of whales playing in this market and if how much is their wealth and if its bigger than the institutions that are investing in btc .

we cant say for now that manipulation will decrease but less and no manipulation is we all wanted because the price can grow stablely
