I think that manipulations on the crypto market will never end. The crypt is the wild west. Nobody regulates anything here. Even the stock market is hard to regulate. Take Elon Musk, for example. He is a vicious manipulator. First I smoked some weed on the air and dumped my shares. Then, when necessary, he skillfully pumped them. For example, announcing that he bought bitcoin for $ 1.5 billion.
     Now he pumped Dogocoin, Bitcoin. But it can pump anything. Manipulations on the crypto market will never end.

As long as people can manipulate the market, they will keep on doing that, there is no reason for them to stop. All those tesla deals, grayscale deals, apple news that is yet to be confirmed, all the news you hear about this buying and that selling, everything reflects on the price and I think you will keep seeing that forever.

Do not underestimate the power of media manipulation as well, that is a real thing and people ignore that, when someone on TV comes up and says that bitcoin is a great technology and it will be adopted a lot, that influences price as well if that person is a very famous one, and same person saying it is too high now and bubble will burst, the price will be going down a lot and nobody knows if that person takes advantage of this or not.

As long as people can manipulate the market, they will keep on doing that, there is no reason for them to stop. All those tesla deals, grayscale deals, apple news that is yet to be confirmed, all the news you hear about this buying and that selling, everything reflects on the price and I think you will keep seeing that forever.

As long as there is no regulation any huge investor can manipulate the market, even in the stock market there are insider trading and other manipulation that are exposed and the authorities have strict rules and regulation to counter that but in the cryptocurrency market there is no such rules and hence you should expect these big fund houses manipulating the market.

Truth is the manipulation will continue to be a part of crypto currency trading; if the manipulation did not end in a bear market; it definitely will not end in a bull market. This is why as traders we must be able to differentiate between a fomo trade and a fud trade; we must also interpret market emotions and ensure that we always buy the rumour and sell the news

In all investment markets in general and crypto markets in particular, people cannot avoid the manipulation of the price of a certain product.
There is always a group of talented and well-financed people who can manipulate the market price, I can take Elon Musk's influence on Doge coin as an example. One of his words or actions caused the strong growth of the crypto and Doge markets.

If big institutional 'groups' are formed and they buy crypto suddenly, then manipulation will take place. If institutions hit exchanges one by one, the growth will be stable and the manipulation curve will decrease upto some extent. It can be noticed that btc or any major cryptocurrencies that are here to stay, will not see sudden falls and if they do, they will be bought up by new institutions and will remain stable and can only grow till any institution decides to leave crypto after taking out their profits. We saw Elon adding #bitcoin to his Twitter bio and btc saw a quick pump, imagine what will happen if he tweets #boycottbitcoin

I won't label the manipulators as scammers because its their money and they are free to do whatever they want. You must also understand that each and every one of us is a manipulator in some form because we hold any amount of coins which will then impact the market and the manipulators are just the bigger version of us.

Manipulation has indeed decreased since BTC got so popular but still there is massive amounts being stored by some rich dudes and I hope the market becomes more smooth and coins are distributed more evenly and even Elon musk in his recent tweet said "the main problem is concentration of coins".

In order for bitcoin price manipulation to end, we need one entity not being able to change it too much, which requires very high price and a very high volume as well. Right now, tesla can come in and buy another billion dollars worth of bitcoin and could manipulate the price, and that would be quite possible for them to do at the current stage. However one day when bitcoin price is 200k+ and volume is 50x times higher than the current volume, one billion dollars would be nothing for bitcoin and it wouldn't change too much.

The only way to prevent manipulation is to be able to eat up all the manipulation attempts and not move at all, which takes a very long time for bitcoin to reach as of right now, but I believe 100% that it will one day happen, so we should not be really looking desperate just yet.

I tend to agree if 4-5 big institution companies who adopted Bitcoin will do the same selling their Bitcoin at the same time, it could have an effect on the market price that will surely have a sudden drop price.  But if only one company will sell their Bitcoin holding, it might we didn't feel the possible pain in the market.

However, manipulation was always there in the market since then, but I think for now we need cooperation for each other to build a big community that using Bitcoin.  If everyone will use Bitcoin for example for payment or keeping this as a valuable asset, for sure the demand and supply will always matter with the price circulation which is the manipulation won't really work.

I don't think so, the price went so amazing right now and everybody really wanted to dig in on cryptocurrency. In fact many friends of mine wanted to know everything in digital currency, but I don't bother sharing them the entire story of it. They don't know how bloody when it comes to manipulation, so I must take it personally and move on then enjoy how crypto market will be pushed through the waves.

When whales want to get cheap prices they spread FUD so that bitcoin prices go down and of course all altcoins will also go down and this is an opportunity for whales manipulators to buy cheaply. Bitcoin is the best and most expensive cryptocurrency.  Bitcoin's popularity and price is increasing day by day, but the number of its users is also increasing day by day.  There are many big whales to increase the price of Bitcoin.  Those who have held Bitcoin for long term. Tesla company has invested in Bitcoin and as a result Bitcoin price has changed.  However, cryptocurrency is highly volatile currency so its price will always be volatile.  However, many large companies will hold Bitcoin for a few years and sell it when they get good profits.

Manipulation "exists" in the sense that it is not allowed to do publicly and like a crazy person, you end up doing it like you pay the media people to promote something or downplay something etc etc, like you do it secretly and you do not do it like crazy. For example in crypto, you could go up on twitter (or any other place that people can see you) and say that you will buy a billion dollars worth of bitcoin in a week and nobody will do anything about it, and if you are really rich and super known, that will still not be a problem, it is still a fine thing.

At the end of the day, manipulation is done in everything but nothing is as relaxed as bitcoin and crypto world, you could literally play with money in front of people's eyes here and ruin or increase a whole coin and nothing will happen to you, that type of freedom to manipulate doesn't exist anywhere else.

Very well said because in a bear market we expect the big holders to release some coins to the market which should have happened last year in March when the market collapsed like never before also aided by the corona virus making it even more dreadful and if someone managed to hold their coins during that time, I do not expect them to sell off now during such good and positive times.

Rightly said, but I will not be too discouraged if they are buying now because the price is high and even the biggest groups cannot buy too much and instead they are just bringing more solidity. It would be sad had they been buying huge amounts when price was low and market was bearish.

Growing in market cap doesn't necessarily means manipulation of price will decrease soon, like for example the recent elon musk who people consider as the saviour of modern world making a fuss regarding crypto, as much as I'm happy enough that elon really bring the price of bitcoin up, I must say that these kind of things look kinda like manipulation.
If by some tweet from a rich influental people alone could decide whether the market gonna be bearish or bullrun the crypto market as a whole isn't really manipulation free doesn't matter how much the market cap has been growing since the manipulator doesn't target the market cap and using their resource to manipulate it but the manipulator affect psychology of the people to make them behave as they like.

The fact that we are seeing more and more people investing a huge amount of money, will never go away. When we went down to $4K last year, don't you think that is a manipulation for the big guns to come down here? The fact that we burst up to $40K means there is a huge amount of demand that went through, and now we are closing to $50K.

If bitcoin price will continue to go up only institutions can buy it, so I think price manipulation will not be ended nor decreases given the fact that more and more companies buy shares in bitcoin in numerous amount more than I can or you can afford is alarming for me, if they want to sell their coins at cheap price and they can do it, we cannot force them not to sell their whole asset if they want. So be prepared and always read news.

Price manipulation will always be there, it will not just go away.

Bitcoin's price is based on demand and supply, and with a lot of people holding a huge chunk out of that supply, there will always be manipulation. That is why a lot of people are getting scared of what these corporations will do with their huge investments in bitcoin as it can affect the price hugely in the near future. Although we know that they can't manipulate it fully and there are a lot of people that would take that dump as an opportunity.
