how much money is enough money?
Enough Money means what? Everyone wants money to get better. But people can't know how much money they really want for him or her. Really I don't know why they need more money when they need 5 essential things like food, clothing, shelter, health, and education. I hope all of the people agree with me but also I can say that money needs for power. If someone holds much money for that he reaches the pick of power. These types of people aren't happy to get a poor amount of money.

People say "appetite comes with food". Which means there will never enough money to satisfy a person. Right now people would name only short term goals, and name the amount they would need and spent during a year or several. How people determine how much is enough - they take the cost of a house or apartment, add cost of a new car, add their salary during 5-10 years and say that this amount is enough. But we have so many thing to try, visit, discover, purchase. So much that we need. When people start buying, more and more ideas and options appear. So there is never enough.

This is an openly wide question that could have millions of answers depending on each one of us. It varies from one to another, a sum of money could be enough to one and non sufficient to another depending only on someone's lifestyle and money spending habits. Let's take an example of two different categories of people; one who grew up in a wealthy environment being used to spend money blindly without worrying for it to end, for this particular person money is never enough because it should always cover his spending. The second one is a person who grew up in a poor environment, always used to be careful on his spendings not used to get all what he wants most of the times, for this person a precise amount of money could be quite sufficient for him to admit that it is ENOUGH.
It is true that a human being's nature shows that he could never get enough of money, the greedy criteria of a person always pushes him to want more, as soon as someone reaches the point he wants he starts wanting more.

At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money?
No amount of money is enough. The world richest is still striving hard to make more money notwithstanding that, what he has already made will last him for lifetime. An economist said "human wants are insatiable", the more money you make the more the need for money arises. It is a mystery which one can not understand, God made it like that. Provided a man has not yet acquired the whole world, he can't stop struggling for money. The more money the more the need for money. Therefore nobody had had enough money!

I would say enough money is the amount of money you consider sufficient to spent the rest of your life writing a book....
The amount is of course depending on the person answering this question......and will likley vary...

The chase for money especially in this dispensation is never ending. People are willing to go all out and do anything (legal and illegal) for money these days. The real question that i am forced to ask is, how much money is enough money?
At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money?
To do anything legal or illegal? I wish it doesn't have to be anything illegal, it has to be a thing that will allow others to exist. Just imagine making all the billions and only you lives in 500foot by 500foot plot of Land or in whole community.... As for how much that is enough, I don't think any amount is enough... Because you have built or bought a house, have cars or jets etc is it enough to fold your brain, mind and hands? I guess no, when fold all this things, it means dying while still breathing... With this you can see that no amount is enough.. Because when you don't die while still breathing that means more money in your treasury... Not necessarily concerned with the quest of being the richest or among the richest in a locality, your nation or the world. That can form a gateway to illegalities. Everythings being equal I can't see any amount of money being enough... Because you wouldn't necessarily get more for getting sake but just being alive exercising your in built capabilities...

The reason they said human want us insatiable is not far from not knowing what will be of satisfaction because that which they want today if gotten can increase there want and need, even when shelters, clothes and food is there others thing that will attract you for more money will still come up example some are even looking for means to find another planet where live exist and travel to, although this may be relative but to human nature in general no money is enough one level of money can increase another level of demand for money so it continues to infinity.

There is a saying that says "Money is like sea water, the more you drink, the thirstier you get." This illustrates how greedy humans are, the more money someone has, the greater their desire to have more. So if humans adhere to the principle of everything about money, then it is necessary to remember that money is not the final goal in life. Always be humble and not let money ruin our personality.

This is a rhetorical question without a definite answer. The more money we have, the more we wanna build and have more. Just like our needs, wants, desire and taste changes along the line. I can't tell, it up to you as an individual to answer we just need to understand that we shouldn't allow the quest or chase of papers take charge o we our Life. "Money answereth all things ", and the originality of evil also comes from "Money",
I can then say, the feeling of satisfaction for the one you have, is the enough money which can provide you the comfort you need.

If you have enough for food, medicine and bills - I would call that enough.
Anything more than that is for comfort and comfort threshold rises the more you have because you feel the volatility more.

Everybody needs money 💲 to survive like making things happen that's why we over stress ourselves just to stay comfortable. Some don't mind going to the deepest part of this world just to get money and I agree with you OP that we as humans will do what ever it takes to get money legal or illegal money must be made as long as we're living large. No amount of money that can make we humans say is ok, even the richest man is still running his business to make more money. As long as we're not satisfied as human being I don't think any amount is enough.

We can only say that we've enough money when we've been able to reach out goals to life but it's unfortunate that projects doesn't have an end in a mans life because when you think you're okay with your achievements other varieties of taking responsibility to the welfare of others would arise which you'd be tempted to chasing more money so that you can meet up with it. Besides, no one wants to settle for less, everyone wants to acquire the luxurious lives and that aspiration alone ignites more money that no amount would be enough for it. We may never stop going after making more money to say it's enough but at a retirement where luxuries and pleasure interests are going on extinction during ages, we can then say we've made enough money if actually we've accumulated on our savings and had also invested on the varieties to account incomes to obtain our essential needs otherwise the more energy we still have is the more attracted we'd be to chasing more money

I have answered this. But needs change. Due to various reasons.
My wife and I could use an extra amount of cash. Maybe 200-300k more than what we have.

When I was growing up as a child, I thought that million will be enough for me, but since I became mature to know the different between good and bad, I have changed my mind to trillion to be enough for me which I know it will make me comfortable to achieve what I want in my community.

First i thought 100k is great, then i leave that in the market and will have enough for retirement. Then i thought 400k is enough, with taking 4% per year i could actually finance my frugal lifestyle (16k per year = 11k after taxes), then i thought better double that numbers with 800k (22k per year after taxes, 1800 per month, which is much more than i need for my frugal lifestyle).
Then i realized i better only take 3% per year, cause the 4% rule is for only 30 years, so better have 1mil (again 1800 per month) Then i realized that with 1mil i basically live 'as rich' as a poor person who gets money from the government.
Then i went to look for houses in my small 300k random cheap city: it's 1mil at least. Then you can calculate 2% per year of the cost of the house for: repairs, taxes, water, electricity, heating, garbage, insurance...) - so that's another 1mil for 50 years. So that's 2mil. Then i need another 1mil to live for the rest of my life. So 3mil just to have a normal ass house in the city.
Then i was thinking i would like to have a house with a big seminar room in the city that is easily reachable. That's around 2mil. Another 2mil for all upkeep costs. Another 1mio for living. So that's 5mil. 3mil for a house like that is more realistic, so that's 7mil in total Cutting it less close: 8mil.
Now, if you not just wanna have a house but change the world or smth, then i guess it becomes endless how much money you want. If you want a great mansion, that's around 50 million, so you better have 100 million to also pay the upkeep.
Funny how i thought 'wow, a millionaire, when you have a million you are rich' in former times. Now as a millionaire you can have: a normal ass house not in the city for 700k, a 50k car and 250k stock portfolio.

A poor man needs everything, but makes use of nothing. A wise man needs nothing, but makes use of everything.
"It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor." - Seneca, Letter 2
One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth. -Proverbs 13:7
To summarize, it is one's lack of Gratitude that blinds him from the opportunities all around.
If you believe you need more in order to accomplish your purposes, then you already lose. Instead, make the most out of what you have.
Then, when you have more, you will know what to do with it.

Your question is very complex. Every person's lifestyle goals and outlook are different, each person's needs are also different, so it is difficult to specify how much money is enough. For some, having enough money is a means of independence, luxury living and fulfillment of future dreams. And to someone, enough money to meet the needs of one and a half family members and enjoy the happiness of life. Every person's mindset is different, but one interesting thing is that no matter how much money one has, it is not enough, everyone thinks that if I have a little more money than what I have, maybe I will be happy. The pursuit of extra money is not always necessary for true happiness.
