I want to transfer USDT from one address to another. ERC20 detucts a lot of fee but TRC 20 on tron network, the transaction is free of cost.
I want to know if TRC 20 blockchain is safe to use and we can store our USDT there for long term ?

According to my experience tron is not only secure but very smooth and im not saying this just to shill but this is just how i felt using it especially usdt users should use trc20 one atleast till time eth resolves its high gas issue.

AFAIK, Tron network transfer charge is no longer free on Binance exchange and so for that reason, I think the demand for using the USDT_TRC20 blockchain is increasing rapidly, because of that, Binance increased the withdrawal charge from 0 to $0.2 what do you think of that, isn't it a process of safe blockchain?, I think you should go on and make use of it.

Trc-20 is much more secure and it is easy to use. If we think about the gas fee then Trc-20 is the best option to use. Transaction speed of Trc-20 network is also so fast.

I think a lot of people use this saving method in order to save on Ethereum fees. I also have been doing this lately because I can't find any other way out. Because paying fees on the Ethereum network is not profitable for me.

as far as I use Tron, I don't have any problems...
even bad news was seldom heard on Tron. I believe that Tron is one of the safest crypto coins in the world, security is high enough. *do not hesitate to hodl usdt on your bag

Thinking about the safety on trc20, I don't have any problems encountered on their site and transactions made from them went smooth successfully. That's up to your decision if you choose tron network or ethereum, because in cryptocurrency the convenient ways should be followed. Long term is always better to use, but always have a backup on all of your asset holdings to avoid losing it all.

This is the case recently. It's no longer fun to send transactions off ERC20 tokens and ETH network because of the fee. If you have another choice to have such as TRC20 for USDT and you want to save fees, you can give it a try for you to avoid too many fees.
It is the reason why we have several choices for us to experiment and which is going to help us save more in fees.

I honestly don't have any security issues with my transaction on ERC20 tokens and TRC20 in the past few years but one of the disadvantages of ERC20 like you said is the expensive transaction fees and the transaction confirmation time which can be a very big hindrance in transferring token. I am considerate with the fees now and I am more in favor of TRC20 tokens for my daily transactions.

TRC-20 is not as used as ERC-20 because of a critical bug that happened to the system last 2019. People are afraid of it happening again and so prompted to choose ERC-20 as such event hasn't happened yet to it. In terms of security however there's not much difference between the two. What I saw in my little knowledge That is, you can send USDT  from Tron Wallet to Tron Wallet, in which case the fee is much less.However, it can not be sent to another wallet. There is a possibility that the token will be lost.

We do are thinking of the fees because it's not that normal anymore. Unlike before the bull run, we're free to send as much as we can and there's no complaint about the fees because they were acceptable during those times. But this time, it's not normal anymore and those fees can be a big addition to our balances but instead of saving it, we have no choice if we're in need to send it and just ignore the feeling that we have to pay that much.

I have been in this space for couple of years and didn't use trc20 until now. With the fees on erc20 I use tron to transfer funds and i have a good experience with it. Fast and cheap no problems until now.

You mean that erc20 is hacked many times and trc20 has never been hacked  or you wanted to say another way around ? I think both of them are secure therefore you see lots of USDT being transferred through TRC20.

If we're talking which blockchain network is more secure then the answer is BTC because it has no intention of switching into PoS and PoW by far is really secure.
However TRC20 doesn't get hacked as often doesn't mean it's lacking in security and untested. They could analyze the ERC20 hacking and implement additional security to the blockchain even before the hacking occurs. It's really hard though to decide which one more secured when we don't really know how much exploit left not yet discovered out there.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give TRC20 network 5. It's safe and easy to use, almost no transaction fee now but we don't know what will happen in long term. I'd give BSC network 6 and ETH network 7. I'm using all of them and had no problem at all. I cannot guarantee for the future though.
I should also mention I don't trust any stablecoin in the long term. They are just useful for staying in USD bankless until I buy another crypto-currency. Definitely not a good idea to hold a stablecoin as a store of value.
