I want to transfer USDT from one address to another. ERC20 detucts a lot of fee but TRC 20 on tron network, the transaction is free of cost.
I want to know if TRC 20 blockchain is safe to use and we can store our USDT there for long term ?

As far as I know there are three networks for storing USDT such as ERC20, TRC20 and OMNI. Of these, the USDT transaction fee is the lowest in the TRC20 blockchain and I think it is safe. Another blockchain will deduct $20-30 per transaction. So if one wants to do a small amount of USDT transaction then there is no alternative to TRC20 blockchain.

I can say it's safe - I've done it many times before. You just need to ensure that the receiving address accepts TRC20.


I'm not sure what you mean by storing USDT on TRC20 for long term, I'm afraid for me at least you'll need to elaborate a little more so I can understand what it is you're asking.

both trc20 and erc20 is good and safe to store with. erc20 has been excellent in the digital currency ,no doubt ethereum is super legit and you can store erc20 compatible with high security. Tron(trc20) is good also ,im using both trc20 and erc20 and it is safe to say that both is secured and safe to store your funds/investments..

I guess yes it's like the same as ERC20 so this TRC20 USDT is definitely safe.. safe to store your funds in the long term but make sure you will not share the mnemonic seed of the Tron wallet that you use.

Everyone who uses any wallet will not share his wallet private key or mnemonic seed from their wallet, unless he is a fool who does not care about himself, and for ERC20 with TRC20 basically the two are not the same, because they are different platforms, so both are often chosen by tokens that have been used very much like USDT, so they can be very safe to store in any wallet because the token stored is USDT, and another difference from this is that the cost of sending from the ERC20 platform to the TRC20 platform is very far away.

This is not how safe it is, but it depends on how well your property is protected. I use TRC20 regularly to convert USDT, and it is perfect, so to say a lot better than ERC20. The fee is low and fast, but many newbies may not be aware of this yet, I recommend it.

I read a post before I just can't remember where, but it says there is security issue found in TRON Network but that was a long time ago. So I'm a bit scared when I started to use it to store few USDT to have lesser fees. But for months now of using Tron Network I can say it's safe and is much more convenient to use.

I havent tried a TRC20 wallet before. Im more on ERC20 because it is already tried and tested several times without any errors in transaction. Though in ERC20, fees are quite high. I saw the replies in this thread say that TRC20 has much more lower fees which is what i really need to be cost efficient in transactions. Maybe I'll give it a shot in the future. Regarding your question if TRC20 is safe to use, I've done some research and most of the articles that I found stated that TRC20 wallet is safe, as long as you dont share your personal information.

Am just a little surprised to read your post to be honest,  people have been holding their trx for as long as since 2017 using tron wallet under tron network and nothing happened,  I don't know why you would think something would happen though,
I use trc usdt to store some funds in binance although not for such a long period, I believe it is safe but you should know no network is 100% , perhaps you can use btc to store your funds long term.

There are many aspects that could differentiate each blockchain and security is definitely not out of concern, just like tron is already PoS meanwhile ETH is still trying to transition from PoW to PoS but got tackled by the miners etc.
But tron is definitely secure enough, though PoW blockchain usually are more secure.

I think TRC address have use the same platform for sending with using TRC20 address to and have cheap fees payment because depend with trx platform, but if you wanna sent your usdt coin with erc20 platform you must ready deduct your coin more than 10$ each transaction, I never use erc20 as my usdt coin for sending, always use usdt trc for send to wallet but now any exchange have deduct fees 1$ each transaction sending.

I Have answered this question before. but I just want to add, I have often used the TRC 20 network from the TRON network in sending funds from one platform to another Platform. and so far there has never been a problem. but I never kept the USDT 20, except for trade transactions

So where do you store your USDT ?  In TRC20 wallet or ERC20 wallet ?

For most people, it does not matter which chain you are using because both of the are secure and i never heard any mishap happening in both. Mostly people use TRC20 because of its zero fee.

TRON's blockchain is secure enough because Tether is released on this Blockchain.  In terms of Decentralized, Ethereum seems to be superior, but in terms of transaction costs, transactions on TRON's Blockchain are more economical and faster than Ethereum's blockchain.

You nailed it, using this as alternative way provides benefits. Since both use blockchain system security still intact while the advantage is the cheaper fees. Good thing that it was introduce and traders are now beginning to realize this advantage and start getting to know more about this process to also enjoy those benefits that this chain are providing.

Is safe as long as you keep the wallet key safely.
I never know that someone can attack or brute force personal wallet, but it isnt impossible for the blockchain to be attacked even its hard to do.

I totally agree that TRC20 USDT offers zero commission. But this does not mean that Tron is the only option that should be used. This is easily explained by the fact that Tron is very little used and for this reason there are no fees on the network. Ethereum is the most demanded blockchain in the history of cryptocurrency and that is why it is so expensive. If Tron could compete with ETH, then I am sure that its commissions would not be zero. But it seems to me that popularity has nothing to do with safety.

Sending using TRC20 have lower fees commission than use ERC20 because many impact with higher fees, both platform keep secure just depending with fees only and how transaction faster or not, but I think almost sender using TRC20 as platform with lower fees transaction and wanna make sending looks faster.
