First time scammed , very frustrated

I was scammed many years ago back when bitcoin was $20. I needed groceries. My bitcoin was earned by doing some web work for someone and since I didn't have a job at the time I figured I could get a gift card off of this very website. I had received a gift card from him once so I trusted him and then the second time he gave me a used gift card number then disappeared. Now I think back about how that one $20 bitcoin is now worth 50 grand and I really hope his wallet is missing. I could have really used that money right now.

Since I joined the crypto community, telegram has indeed often become a hotbed for scammers to catch victims. That is why it is widely recommended to avoid telegram to make deals especially about big business.

I also had the same experience when I was beginning. Sometimes, we really have to go through things like that so we'll know what to do and what to avoid in the future. It's just so frustrating that you have lost your funds because of those scammers but don't worry because you'll still be able to work to earn money again while they're still serving their karma. I am sorry for your loss; and i think this is as a result of poor research and information; please do well to gather more details next time. In telegram, no valid project would ask you for funds in telegram, and no admins would dm you for sales etc.  I hope you learn from your mistakes and make better decisions next time. If you miss out on private sale and public sale; you can always make purchases on the exchange after it is listed

It's ok it happens to the best . Just try not to FOMO into any Ico or don't follow any links. Go through twitter or the official website links . If in doubt pull out of the ico.

Hope you learned a lesson for your bad experience. Yes to many scammers out there and we need to be very careful especially when we are sending  our hard earned money before pushing the send button conduct tripple check to make sure all informations are correct, true and coming from original project not to a clone scam one.

scammers are always looking for their victims in any way. no matter old people or new people. when there is an opportunity they will definitely use it to earn money. There are tons of scammers on telegram and it's 100% unsafe for newbies that knew too little about crypto investment, next time make sure you go through the project official website to find their real telegram channel link, anyone trying to PM you on telegram is 100% a scammer even if they used the project team pictures, you need to be extremely careful with telegram

Think of it as a stepping stone. Yes, the scammer is the stone and you should step on him. 
We all have our shares with this kind of experience.
Before I was not just scammed but also hacked. He didn't stop at just getting the money or the coins. He went overboard by taking everything including the account.

Its really frustrating when something that you worked hard for is just gonna benefit other people instead of you and I really hope you would encounter scammers in the future. You really should also try and stop contacting people through Telegram if they have an account within the forum. Telegram is just for updates within campaigns because if a person tries to contact you Telegram there is a 60% chance that the person talking to you is not real.

Sometimes lessons can become very costly and you know people lost in millions for such simple tricks but here you are in hundreds which maybe a big amount of money for you but you learned from it and you may never repeat it so just think that you saved millions in your future.

I am sorry to hear this, very unfortunate that the "world" of cryptocurrency has spawned so many different scammers and types of scams.  I am a financial advisor so sniffing out financial scams is something I am trained to do and let me tell you I've ran in to countless types of cryptocurrency scams, some good and some not so much.

The one silver lining you can take from this incident is you learned a valuable lesson.  Could have been worse right? Also, my suggestion, don't waste your hard earned money on shitcoins like the one you listed out, because the cold hard truth, it is a shitcoin.

Although it is very sad to read your story but you should have double checked before investing so that you would have avoided this situation.

Almost $450. That's a lot of money, OP. Why would you risk that much for something even if it means to something that is quite known of a project these days? I wouldn't risk that amount solely for anything.
I guess you learned your lesson from there already. This is why when I join a certain group, not just Telegram, I tend to scout first the activity if it is filled with bots or not.
