Nice information OP, however, if a gamblers focus in the past is just to gamble without having an interest to invest, they could enjoy the current price. Fees before are very cheap and transaction is faster, but now is different, it's time for altcoins to be expose and use as a currency for gambling purposes.

When I was new, the sites that I'm familiar with are PD, satoshidice, directbet and nitrogensports, now the crypto gambling industry are already filled with a big number of gambling sites and that is a healthy competition that will benefit us.

I was looking for Freebitco.in ,Why they are not recorded in the History of your post? Freebitco.in is the first Gambling in crypto that offers faucet right?

Sorry please enlighten me if i miss something.

Because that was on the "and the rest is history" part.

And freebitco.in is originally a faucet, not a gambling site.

IIRC, the gambling part like dice, sports betting are added features while they are in progress.

3. In August 2011 first ever Poker Site came to accept bitcoins as a source of payment (company-Switchpoker.com)
Wow, I was under the impression that satoshidice was the first ever gambling casino in bitcoin history but I am glad there was Switchpoker even before them.

9. Bitcasino.io registered themselves in Feb 2014 , so it was like the first licence ever given to a bitcoin casino.
It increases my respect towards sportsbet.io and bitcasino.io even more after knowing that they were the first licensed casino and since sportsbet.io is also from the same owners, I actually feel proud that I bet there. After directbet.eu closed, I think sportsbet is the closest to them in terms of popularity.

If I am not wrong, FJ even had a coin converter when I first used them and they accepted a long list of coins and the ability to convert coins was quite amazing.

I wonder where is Nakowa now, who won a total of 11,000 Bitcoin, of course, he will not think back then that Bitcoin will be valued 5 digits in the future, this is the largest amount won in a dice game, But Cryptocurrency gambling has evolved into a multi-million dollar industry and one of the main promoters of Cryptocurrency, I figure that hundreds of thousands of gamblers who came here because of Cryptocurrency gambling
I am sure since he was a gambler he must have lost some other day all the coins and now might be sitting in a corner under a table wondering what he did, only if anyone of us knew the price would be what it is today .. just crazy to think about it. I have lost 0.01BTC for fun in past on gambling and now it hurts to even think about it.

There are really lots of improvements and developments in the crypto gambling industry for years and I'm surprised to know that the first gambling platforms before are still reputable until now. Knowing the history of how crypto and gambling casinos are just living proof that crypto is too convenient for the gambling world. More people are now recognizing crypto more because of its continuous developments.
The profits for these casinos are insane and some of the casinos are running illegally which means they don't even have to pay taxes on the money collected from players.

I was a player at Satoshidice and Justdice and IIRC, I got some CLAM coins too for playing there and being a part of their website for a long time. Satoshidice was one of my favorite sites where we just used to send our bets and then we either win if the number comes over/under the given slab, and my favorite part was when I get my winnings straight to my Blockchain wallet. Those days, I miss them a lot because they are no longer going to be back again.  Undecided
Yeah, those golden times when transactions were cheap and fast hence we were able to send coins and the money came back to our wallet directly after the result of the bet, if my memory serves me right.

All crypto gambling sites are part of the crypto gambling history. Fortune Jack came earlier than others but it was around 2 years later after the first crypto gambling site was launched and around 3 years after Bitcoin was first accepted by a poker site.

It was in 2012 by Satoshi Dice. But Satoshi Dice was not the first ever gambling site which accepted crypto. As already said, a poker site company-Switchpoker.com already accepted Bitcoin payment before that.

This is very interesting to see about the history of crypto gambling and on how it started.

The moment that bitcoin was already starting, some businessmen ventured into creating gambling websites because they foreshadowed its popularity beforehand. It is, however, very unfortunate that lots of fraud involving loss of BTC happened during the timeline. This is kind to be expected due to the nature of existing on the realm of the internet, where hackings are very prominent.

Personally, I get excited about playing different games with what little I have. It's such an exciting time for cryptocurrency, and I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy gambling with it as I do. It's really awesome to see where it's all come from and where it's going.

I guess your excitement stems from your gambling habits, I suppose? Though gambling in general makes you feel the adrenaline of either winning/losing. Personally, I would avoid gambling my btcs for the moment especially that the prices are high on the market currently.

Yeah. As I have said in another topic, as long as you stick to a small and reasonable percentage of your bankroll, you'll have an easier time overcoming missteps. Yes, you can have some fun here and there, but you're not in there playing with your life savings.

Bitcoin has gone a long way from being a basically dirt-cheap asset that can barely buy a pizza to one of the biggest assets out there that also created opportunities and a whole new niche in the trading business. So when people say that bitcoin is not the future, or that bitcoin will die in a few years or so, I simply laugh at them knowing that this cryptocurrency weathered multiple storms and crashes in the span of its lifetime.

Thats the most important thing you should consider or must do even how bad the situation will happen or possibilities but still you are confident because you do know that
you arent really risking out your life savings or money which are intended for other expenses in life or simply allocated into more important things than gambling.
Always set out limits because this one will really be helpful as a the times goes by.Dont tend to chase losses even if you suffered from that because you would
really be just messing out the entire situation even more if you do let yourself get caught into that certain state.

I see that OP missed the mention of Crypto-Games as the first casino to implement altcoins payments in August 2014. Given that the casino is still alive and kicking, I think it deserves its place in this short review of Crypto Gambling History.

I am pretty sure the post of the OP is not meant to be an exhaustive recollection of the gambling history in the market of cryptocurrencies, he probably missed some companies and developments but that is not really that important, what matters is this industry had very humble beginnings and now it is a huge industry which is probably only behind exchanges in this market, and taking into account that gambling is so popular all around the world then it is natural to think this interest will keep growing.
