How would you define what is to be "rich"? Is it about having enough for living or is there something else that you would be looking to accomplish to be rich?
Is it 1 million USD? Is it 1000 bitcoin? what are your thoughts?

Rich does not have to be related to bitcoin hodling etc. An individual can be classified rich if they can afford the most expensive stuffs in the market (in multiple folds) without having to borrow or panic or feel it massively. A recent example is Mahrez who noticed after 5 weeks that someone had stolen £175,000 from his account.

Even with those amounts with rich people wouldnt much care but since all of the money we had earned did really come from hardwork then most likely we will really be that serious on tracing it out

on who are the hell those who had been stealing your money even with those billionaires unless if they would just let it happen but its impossible for them to tolerate or neglect it out.
Humans are born greedy and they wont like on experiencing on losing money or having some leaking out of their bank accounts or other things that do spits out their precious fiat.

Rich defines on having tons of money without minding on what you should buy on point or on tomorrow.

Being rich isn't about owning $100k or $1million. Rich people earn more than they spend. This is the only feature matters.

Perhaps your assumption is really the most correct, since a rich person never counts a penny, and his annual income is such that an ordinary person cannot earn so much in his entire life. It may be necessary to distinguish between a wealthy person and a rich person.

The very basic difference I find between the rich and a common man is the investment strategy. Rich always prioritise investment, whereas the common man always prioritise savings. For a simple living savings is the only choice, because it is risk free. When it comes to investment it gives profit as well as loss. One needs the ability to withstand all sort of situation, common man fail in it.

1) Rich in money ? 100,000,000 million works for me.
2) Rich in BTC ? 4000 BTC works for me.


3)Rich in health ? I am 64 I need to be 32 again with zero heath issues and a guarantee to live at least back to 64 > Not sure this is possible for me or anyone else.

4)Rich in love life? My wife needs to be 30 again with zero health issues and a guarantee to live at least back to 62 > Not sure this is possible for me or my wife.

5)Rich in friends?  I am as I have my wife.

So I am 1 for 5.

1 and 2 are not likely

3 and 4 are not possible as far as I know.

But having number 5)  One really good close friend is very nice.

I used to think that it takes a lot of money to become rich, and that is the goal that I always strive to always try to make a lot of money but then when I feel satisfied with what I have. Then I realized the wealth. It's not all about money, you need things of value, it's simply that the things you have at least physical as well as spiritual value, that's my opinion about rich.

Rich to me is someone who has:

1- Completely control over their mind
2- Living a mentally and physically healthy life
3- Isn't afraid to take risks while doesn't take unwanted risks
4- Has a good status in the society

A lot of people consider rich who has a lot of money but for me, I never believed rich is defined by having more money. I had a relative who had an enormous amount of money and land but when they were suffering from a deadly disease, they had no one with them, neither their children nor their family with them. I cannot define such people as rich.

for me, it's a condition when you are in a financial freedom phase.
where you don't have to think about the money that has been spent on something.
IMO, the "money can't buy happiness" narrative is so wrong.

It's happiness. happiness is a complex thing, all parameters for life balance should be filled properly. I also want a condition where I have nothing to be over thought. seriously, my overthinking level is above 9000

To me rich is achieved once ypu lose any and all stress related to financial requirements for living.  If you generally never have to worry about more money coming in than you are well off enough to be considered rich I would think, financially speaking.  I dont think there is a defined number because being rich in one area of the world would not be rich in another so its all dependent on personal situation

I am with this and i do really think up the same when we do talk on being rich is to someone who dont really minding about any financial stress and thats to be considered as rich.
When it comes to definition that do came from person to person depending on where he do lives then it would really vary since not all countries does sit on the same situation
which means they will really be in different in terms of value but still it wont really be an issue because we do have our own preference when it comes to things.
You might be rich in your country but not in the other countries that you havent known and thats a fact.

Financial freedom and no longer being tied down to work is the definition of wealth for the rich.

I also define it that way. You're not needed to go to your job from time to time because you're the one who owns the business and it's operating continuous and at the same time you are financially free.

I have a desire to be able to retire early with savings and investments that can meet my needs.

You can do it, if you grind as much as you can when you're still young to work or have business you can make it. I would love also to retire early.

Well, I consider it in different tiers.
If I were to describe someone's wealth using the word rich, then rich would probably be $1m+, very rich would bet $25m+ and ultra-rich would be $250m+ - The numbers are mainly based on me being Danish though(when converted to DKK the last one would be a billionaire).

But I would never really say something like that in general. When friends and family ask, I usually just describe people as "living well" if they are worth $1m+. When we're talking big figures the privacy and all of that suddenly starts to matter a lot more, for a lot of people. - Sure there are people with a $1m who doesn't wanna tell anyone because they're scared, but when you're worth $100m the actual rich is suddenly way different.

Nope what i've been thinking about being rich is I don't need to worry about my payment bills anymore.

And have a lot of assets in real estate which is for investment.

One more thing is i can travel around the world with my beloved one and don't care about the bills.

For me, being a rich person can buy whatever we want regardless of the price. Because most of us when going to buy goods always consider
the price of the item. If someone claims to be rich but still has questions about price, that means that person is not really rich. Maybe my thinking is
not in line with other people's, because everyone does have different views regarding wealth.

Maybe the closest way to define rich is by comparing the income and living cost, I think if we still can save 90% and above of our income then we are already rich people. Actually, you have touched a good point, the meaning of rich changes with age and priorities.

When we are kids/teenagers, being rich means having more money and health is not a concern while fame is not in question. When we are adults let's say 25-40 yrs of age, the highest priority is fame, and money is the next thing while health is not a concern. When we reach our old age, we are most concerned about health while fame and money don't matter as much.

So, the meaning and definition of rich change with time and according to our needs. One who has a lot of money would wish he had better health while someone with good health but starving would rather want more money.

The true meaning of rich is: Having all the 3, health, wealth, and good recognition in society which is fame.

It doesn't depend on that in my opinion, if you are rich then you won't really have a problem where you are living because you are living in excess. For me, the definition of a rich person is someone that has enough money to raise a family of more than 3 and have them live in comfort even if they have their own family. Well, people are right that rich people can buy luxury stuff because they have an excess of money and the point will come where they have to use those money for something and I think that splurging on luxury as a rich person is acceptable. I like your idea that being rich means that someone is altruistic.

Everyone can define or give explanation of richness from he or her perspective, because what another person think is richness might not be the same his opponent or another person might see it as concept of richness, so therefore the definition is based on what you see or saw can make you draft your personal definition of rich.

Now am average person who have these below can be included as a rich person
* feeding three square meal a day....it's obvious the individual is personal rich,
* having a personal shelter.... These are one of the criteria of been rich,
* clothing yourself without asking to another or begging... Are another evidence of richness,
* having a source that generate daily, weekly, monthly, annually revenue is signs of richness

                 So see what people taught is richness
* having private cars......really its richness but all hands can't affordable car,

For me , I will define rich is an individual who can buy anything they want, having stable business of their own, does not have debts anywhere can share blessings to the less fortunate people and most of all has good health because for me health is wealth. Money or wealth is not worth if the one who own it has a sever pain and dying.
