While I do agree that Mclaren made a great car, look at who came in third, not Piastri is the clue that we are looking for. While it is great that Lando managed to get the win, it is not clear if Mclaren has enough to beat Max, because we know that Red Bull is slower than Mclaren these days, but we are not sure by how much, we also know Max is a wonderful driver, probably the best on the track right now, so the gap must be smaller.

I think with any given race, one bad pit stop, one bad tire decision, one rain, everything changes completely. It doesn't even have to be an accident, we are just looking at something smaller, even a few seconds slower pit stop, something jammed for a split second, could decide the drivers completely.

So all in all, I still think that Max has a very high chance, he has the advantage of making a mistake and still recover, Lando can't make a single mistake, he has to keep winning and we all know he can't be that dominant right now, the car is good but not that good.

More like he got the early retirement, his career at Williams was going to end anyhow at the end of the year, this just rushed things, I don't know how to feel about this, yes it's sad to see someone retire this way since things happening like this are always ending with the driver completely ending his f1 career, he didn't have the car he would need to make the headlines but still, 1 point in two seasons is petty bad.  I always thought it's a competition between him and Zhou on who gets booted first.

Let's see how Seinz will do next year on Williams but I have a feeling he won't make a difference and have the same fate, Williams for one or two years then retiring.

Strange, it's the back of the car that bursts into flames where the big name of Kraken is while SEC is also flaming Kraken just recently.

Well, I can say he ended his career with a bang! 9 races left. I don't know if he deserves such a thing to happen but it may be a strike three for James Vowles which is why he'd rather take the risk for a new racer.
Colapinto. This is actually a high-risk change but the team is saying that it's worth taking him than Sargeant. That's like a stab on the back but that's how F1 is.

Williams was really in a hurry to replace Sargeant with Colapinto. I don't know about this new driver much. I haven't watched him I mean, I only know his statistics so far. He collected 96 points at MP Motorsport and beat his teammate Hauger in F2.

It must have been a long while since we last saw an Argentinean driver in F1 as well. I'm wondering what this 21-year-old driver will do... Sargeant has caused huge costs because of many accidents which must be the reason why Williams couldn't be patient until the end of the season.

Anyway, we are in a new race week. Norris is already favoured the qualifying of course. By the way I think it's worth trying one's luck with Norris to become the champion. Verstappen is struggling more in time so why not?

Quite interesting that they replaced him so late into the season. Doesn't mean that he didn't deserve it, Logan hasn't been good for a long time and it was clear that they needed a change, but you don't do that on the last 9 races of the season, you wait until the new season to make that change.

Maybe they just wanted this new kid to end up getting used to the car this season, like they gave up on their second car for the season, they know they are not getting anything anyway and they are a terrible team right now, so why not let the kid take it for a test drive for 9 times before he is ready for the next season? Makes sense in the way that it would help them get him better next season, but they should hope that he doesn't crash and cause more costly mistakes.

Probably nobody isn't surprised about these news. It's not just that he scored only 2 points in his career. He lost all qualifying sessions against Albon and sometimes it looked that he is driving F2 car. No hate, but this guy haven't showed anything to save his seat in F1.
Risky move to replace with Colapinto who having just his debut season in F2. But probably it's that moment that doing such move is better than not doing anything.
Zhou - not sure why you mentioned him, he haven't done anything to grt sacked. You simply can't achieve anything with shitty car.

He's doing worse than Bottas and he hasn't had an offer from a better team, he's not on the list for any team and teams pick divers from the other league, so I thought it would be Sauber who would drop both drivers to try to have a fresh start if their partnership with Audi goes through. And while Bottas had the experience, Zhou has literally nothing right now not even the sponsorship Perez has and that guy ain't there for long too.

With Hulkenberg confirmed to come for the next season, I thought it would replace Zhou for sure, now if the one getting booted is Bottas it would be a surprise for me.

There is a new asphalt on the track so the grip is strong. I think this is one of the iconic tracks in Formula 1. It is home GP for Ferrari at the same time.

I wonder how much these upgrades will affect Ferrari... I expect a lot better qualifying performances this time. They must be in the pole position fight. For the race, maybe another podium?

But i cant believe some things im hearing about people defending Sargeant.... man the only thing he has to at least do is..... no crash/destroy your car, and he did the opposite he made all he can to detroy the car in every race.

About Colapinto im super happy for him and for our country but im realistic and i dont know how good he can do not being adapted to the car and the category. The money behind is very big, two HUGE companies from argentina are behind him, if he do a miracle with this car i can assure you he is gonna have a seat for the next year. (And yes i know the contracts and seats are already filled).

My point is that Zhou is mediacore driver - not great, not terrible, while Sargeant is bellow F1 level. He haven't showed phenomenal results, but at least he isn't breaking car.
Back to the upcoming Italian GP - seems that we will have extremely high temperatures during whole weekend, complete opposite from what we had in Zandvoort. Interesting what pit stop strategy we can expect.

That one for the F1 forum pool is run by CLS63 and I have cross promoted his thread on here in the past so you can go to either or. It makes no difference, to me anyways. As that one mostly talks about free bet distribution and who received the yellow caps for the pool. While here it is a year round discussion about the drivers & teams on the off-season too.

Yea...I feel bad for Andreea Kimi but he shouldn't have forced that car in Fp1 like it's qualifying round and he didn't have to prove he is a fast driver or anything related to speed. His main concern should have been to have a clean driving session and listen to what his team is asking from him while he is doing FP1 but instead he made a huge rookie mistake that really doesn't suit well with Mercedes. However, we all know the kid is super talented and has a great future in F1 but he needs to be tempered from now on whenever he has the chance to driver for Mercedes because he can't make mistakes like this next season.

Russell is back in the drivers seat for this Free practice 3 session.
But Mercedes should of known what they were getting with Antonelli as he is a firerocket and hard to contain his enthusiasm to get on the track to make a bold impression to his bosses.
With practice and more tracks under his belt other than F2 he should do just fine.

I really didn't expect this from Ferrari. I thought one of them would be competitive for pole position at least, especially Leclerc. But he wasn't satisfied with the balance of his car and it affected his performance directly. 

Verstappen had a terrible day. Ending the season in such a bad place will make things even harder for him. He has already been struggling with the car because of a similar reason to Leclerc's.

Those odds must be the highest for Verstappen ever in his career since he started in the F1. Him and Hamilton are nearly the same @19 & @21.
Oscar Piastri is the closest to Norris then Russell so this would reflect their starting points on the grid for the race tomorrow.

If Mclaren gets more points than RB I'm cashing out my bet on Betfair for the championship, it's already down to 1.15 from 1.57 two races ago, I will keep the other one running as I don't have the option but I'm pretty confident RB will lose the title. As for the driver's standings, I'm still with Max, despite drifting from 1.28 to 1.44, even if he scores no point (highly doubt it), if it goes to over 1.75 I'm doubling down on it!

I am sticking with my gut on this one and saying Norris is going to take it. He has the laser focus needed as everyone can see from qualifying yesterday that he is ready and posed to take this one at Monza.
Unless of course his team asks him to relinquish first place again because they felt sorry for Oscar about not having a win in F1 yet. Well he has one so there is no excuse for them to tell him to do that ever again.
Let the drivers race and have that determination to win from start of the season right up until the end I say!

I mean Norris was amazing in the last race. You would remember how big the gap was between him and Verstappen.    People created theories such as Verstappen started to slow down after realizing he wouldn't be able to catch him. They say he did it to show the importance of the bad condition of the car. But to tell the truth, this is nonsense. 

By the way the start was really interesting. Piastri took the lead and Russell was the biggest loser. Leclerc also gained 2 positions which was great to see...

I hope to see a Ferrari podium today.    It is home GP for them.
