Death threats by Lucius and ~DefaultTrust

After having nice talks in separate topic this two members started to make death threats, and we know that member can easily get banned for that.

It is also not funny to make fun with virus like that when we know how many people died all over the world.

I am not surprised to see that from some trolls, but I am surprised to see that from girls driven by personal vendetta.

Both posts reported  to moderators.

Fortunately, the only one I unfortunately came across (luckily online) is you. Too bad someone doesn't invent a virus that would kill idiots (like you), pedophiles and drug dealers - what a wonderful world that would be - we would kill at least two flies with one blow.

Be careful with your desires. Suddenly it will come true and someone will invent such a virus. It may turn out that first your employers (pedophiles and drug dealers) will die, and then you and your loved ones will die too (idiots)

Dunno, maybe I am just too thick skinned and insensitive but I don't see those things that @Lucius and @~DefaultTrust wrote as death threats, nor would I feel death threatened if they wrote that to me. Honestly, that whole thread should just be thrashed or locked a its just a bunch of nonsense and people writing stuff that's already been discussed many times before.

They're not death threats at all.  Saying that you wish someone would die is not the same as saying you're going to kill them, it's as simple as that.  I've seen this scenario quite a few times on bitcointalk over the years where someone claims death threats were made, and it turns out that it was nothing of the sort.  There was probably a language barrier involved in some of those cases, but I'm not sure that's what's happening here.

On a related note, I still maintain that the tag dkbit98 left for jerry0 was wrong, and taking a look at some of the other feedbacks he left I think he probably deserves a ~ at this point, because it's obvious he doesn't understand when negative feedback should and shouldn't be given.

I know you might delete the post because reality hits hard. But it has been said countless times that one should not tag others based on their posts.

The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.

If you really hate someone and he's a terrible troll, that does not deserve negative feedback.

If someone is spamming the forum, just report them. You aren't a moderator and they know their duty best. You ain't moderator for a reason, right?

First of all, these are certainly not a death threat for which user should get banned (by breaking Forum rules). These are more like a wish by both the users although I would never wish such things for anyone regardless of whatever happen in such an online forum, not even in the offline life.

And surely, they don't deserve a tag.

dkbit98, take note of the above because that's exactly what I'm talking about.  When you give someone a negative, it should indicate to anyone looking at it that there's a reason not to trust that member.  Being a spammer or shitposter or an asshole don't qualify as valid reasons.  If you're looking to review the feedback you've left for other members, just keep this principle in mind.

Why self-moderated? I wouldn't say that is death threats exactly. They are just wishing the dead for each other. I don't think that it belongs to death threats forum rules. Viruses aren't controlling by them, so even they are wishing death but they can't kill anyone this way. But really we shouldn't expect death for anyone. Since you report them now it's the moderator's hand what should do, but the personal belief that would mark bad or soft bad.

Besides that, spam shouldn't moderate with the trust system since the admin discouraged it. Spammers don't mean he is a potential scammer by the way.

Yeah I agree, people on forum tend to report various expressions or just some bickering like in this case as death threats just because they know that there are serious repercussions for such things (perma ban if I am not mistaken). Those who had real death threats will just laugh at something like this. I personally had those and gun pointed at me when I was a witness on a trial and friends of accused party  didn't like what i had to say so they decided to pay me a visit. So yeah, I don't really like when people call death threat something like this.

Regarding that jerry0 negative feedback, I do agree that it was an overkill but I don't think that @dkbit98 deserves an exclusion. He tagged (and busted) a lot of real scammers and I don't see him a someone who abuses trust system. Bad feedback can happen to anyone and it can be changed anyway.

but I if you guys think it's ok that someone in 2021 during pandemic tells other member he wants him to die from created virus than I rest my case.

It was done just in case if mods don't ban them, so I am deleting them now.

Let me tell you the difference between a death threat and being upset or having bad feelings about someone.

I make a bet on Khabib vs Connor and I lose my bet, I might be angry and say I wish Connor dies with corona. That is just anger and doesn't mean I am going to actually kill Connor if I see him around.

If I say to someone "dude I am gonna come after you and kill you" that should be a threat because wishing someone being dead is more like explaining your feelings about that person.

Nobody wants you to take a break and neither you can control that because others add you to their trust and you cannot change that yourself. You know that right? By the way if you are arrogant enough to not understand but argue the wrong point to an extent  where you are ready to forfeit DT duties, I suggest you should just not get involved in the trust and reputation issues.

Those aren't death threats, they're just examples of the stupid things said by keyboard warriors when their skivvies get wedged.  Even the ethical implications of someone saying "I wish so and so would die" should be taken with a grain of salt.  I don't think either of those users are actually wishing anybody would die.

On the other topic; you really need to take hard look at the reviews you're leaving.  A large percentage of them simply state "Spammer" with a reference to something that I assume I'm supposed to recognize as spam.  You maybe right 100% of the time, but none of those reviews should exist.  I suggest you review them of all, and if one of those members does deserve a red tag, provide a reasonable argument as to why.

For my point of view, classifying the above statements by @Lucius and @~DefaultTrust as death threats is far-fetched. The statements are similar to one saying that
"I wish lightning could strike you dead"
"I hope you die in an accident"

The whole thing becomes completely be different if someone said "I will kill you by cutting off your head" or "I will kill by poisoning your food" The last examples are what I believe to be actual death threats that are prohibited in the forum

I do think so too, in my opinion a death threat is only a death threat if the person who threats you say that they are going to do it or find a way to do it, from what I understand of this statements of the two users, they just wish something will happen but in the end we all know that it won't happen and in any way do they want to do it themselves. I mean, why get scared of death threats online in the first place? You are completely anonymous on the forum so worry if they know your identity but if they are just slinging these threats without knowing the identity then it is good as any online banter.

In general, at the very beginning of the topic of open examplens, the conversation was about the infringement of the rights of some countries by the chipmixer company. I already wrote then that the one who responds to provocations ~ DefaultTrust will once again be bitten by him.
Nothing like this would have happened if everyone had left this troll with their thoughts and arguments. You should not kindle and throw wood into the fire, thereby warming the soul of a mentally unhealthy person.
No one here will condemn someone who, at the next provocation of such people, will simply leave him unanswered. It will not be cowardice or weakness.

Yeah, I did report them to moderators but they are still Unhandled, and I can't reply in Lucia self moderated threads because there are some special rules that are not allowing me to say anything, so I had to create my own.

Those posts are totally off-topic and had nothing to do with subject, but I guess some people like to feed the trolls.

Maybe there are some personal issues against me or some mental health issues, because we saw that Lucia wants all drug dealers and idiots to be killed, that reminds me on time not long ago when there was concentration camps made for killing people you don't like.

I want Trump to suck my dick, doesn't make him do it. Wanting something and doing something are two different things. If one wants other to die, that's their feelings but if they threaten to kill someone, then it is a problem.
