So while most years it would probably work, there are some when it wouldn't, so it doesn't qualify as good general advice. Even given the short story of Bitcon's existence, you still need to take at least a 3-year span to make sure that it's historically accurate that it would have made a person's investment profitable.

This is a fact that majority in this thread ignore, they see the current market situation and then expect the market to rallying in the coming years as well and that is not the way the market performs, even the best experts who claims that they study the market does not have any clue when the market goes for a correction and if they say they predicted the exact time of the fall then it is a big fat lie  .

Three years is a decent time to profit from the BTCitcoin market simply because we have a clear idea about the date of halving and that will boost the price and if you have that timeline then you can consider it as the safest investment.

Although, you may be right in certain cases, it is not always true that you'd be in profit if you buy and hold for a year. The issue here isn't holding for a year, it is actually finding out after a year if you're now in profits.
A good example is the bill run of 2017 when bitcoin hit an ATH of 21k. Let's assume someone did bought at that price and held it for a year, the person would be running at a loss if he decides to sell it because the price dropped in 2018. In such case, one would be willing to wait another and maybe more if necessary.

I do advise hodlers to avoid checking the price or getting updated about the price until the set time is completed in order to avoid getting worked about the fluctuations in the price of bitcoin

Hodlers doesn't panic when price experience a big dump, thus they see this as an opportunity to accumulate more. There are some hodlers that keep accumulating whatever the price is because they believe in bitcoin potential. It's just a simple life rule to save up for emergency funds first before any investments.

You just misunderstand the point mate, the most wealthy individual are those that do their homework every well and seize every opportunity the market pose, it just about holding cause if invested at the wrong time holding will still not be profitable. Besides, buy now when the market price is at a peak and cashout in one year won't be a profitable decision cause the market will be in correction or blood bath then.

Well, that is a good decision but I think 2 years is only a short term of holding your bitcoin, you can hold like 5 - 10 years for sure that bitcoin will be rising on that range of holding. Holding bitcoin is no doubt that you will gain perhaps 10 times fold right after the years that I mentioned above. People will continue adopting bitcoin will have an effect on the demand and supply and that causes bitcoin price move due to that matter, so if the adoption will continue, it becomes larger the supply becomes less and the price becomes more expensive. However, everything is unsure, because bitcoin price is unpredictable always.

Especially when its government motivated, it plants a such a phobia in the minds of crypto enthusiast it takes only a determined and addictive enthusiast to stay focused. In any case, buying and hoarding for a year doesn't necessarily imply growth or profit, the chances for a loss is still there.

As I said before, a commitment is required so that whatever market conditions and how deep the Bitcoin price will fall, doesn't panic us as holders.
What must be done by holders continue to buy Bitcoin regularly, so that the number of bitcoins owned continues to increase. And most

I will not determine the exact year about crypto because how if next year it is the bearish season? Keep informed by the crypto news is actually still important. This is my opinion, SImple. If we really don't wnat to do it. Just buy Bitcoin at the dipping price in the bearish time and then hold it until at least the next halving. And at the beginning of halving, start getting information in order to know the bullish season again. IT may need at least 4 years again like in 2024 or more after the next halving.

What gives a lot of profit is holding long-term, but that doesn't mean that when the market is correcting, when the bullish market ends there will also be a correction, are you going to let it?
The right strategy is to hold it when the market is bullish, and sell it when the bull market is about to finish.
but if it is for the long term like holding the next 10 years or 15 years it doesn't matter.

You are right the best investors do something similar but they follow up on them, we could buy bitcoin today or a fraction of Bitcoin, and whatever happens I am sure that there will be profits with a good percentage, but it is impossible not to see news about bitcoin, you can Being at home watching TV and in the headline news section it will appear that bitcoin reached a new ATH or similar, it is very difficult to stay away from knowing about bitcoin.

I think people who are rich in crypto are those with no genuine interest in it, it's almost has if they were forced into it....example if take the famous $10K bitcoin pizza I don't think the man had interest in taking a crypto payment but it happened and today we could say he is now a crypto whale thanks to his pizza.
