I want to share my cool experience about holding Bitcoin.

I become busy last year and decided to totally disconnected on crypto market or news to focus on my studies and extra job to earn despite pandemic last December 2021 when Bitcoin is on the early Bullish trend. It's really good to see now that my Bitcoin was already X2 the initial money that I earn on signature campaign here. I never though that Bitcoin price will go this far and I decided to take some profit although the current price is at correction.

Really happy to choose holding rather than convert it fiat by the time I decided to leave crypto.

That really depends on how much you are currently hodling, if you have a big amount of bitcoin, you profit big in short-term and get back and do another hodling, but if it is the opposite then you probably have a better result when you go for long-term and plus you can still accumulate along your hodling by buying, be it short-term or long-term.

From my own experience, I was convinced that Bitcoin hold was probably the most correct strategy from the very beginning. At some point, I chose trading and now I see that my profit would be much greater if I simply hold Bitcoin. But it's better to understand this late than never. The price may not be what we wanted to see as we reaches new all time high at more than $60k, but as the OP said, at $50k he is still making money and doing like x2 of his investments so that is good enough for him. And this is another lesson for everyone that being a holding will really yield good returns. So if the prediction this year that the price will hit 6 digits mark, then it will make more money for the OP but literally doing nothing.

Good job OP! I am more or less the same as you. I never bought Bitcoin until a couple of years ago and kept on earning Bitcoin from signature campaigns and other very small jobs online. Every time I charged I even gave big discounts just so I could get paid in crypto, even accepting dogecoin a few times:)

To be honest, I also made some regrets about your own situation with me.
Most of the Bitcoins I earned online, especially on signature campaigns, are converted to fiat instantly after I received them. But that converted Bitcoin to fiat stuck, and turn to be my emergency funds. So my regret is, I should've hodl Bitcoin rather than converting it in fiat without use.

So you did not check the bitcoin price for last 4 months ? This is good for you as if you have known that bitcoin has reach 20K or 30K, you would have tempted to sell your coins at those prices. Now you are happy to see your wealth grows only by holding. I would suggest you to not sell now and keep holding for more profits.

Congratulations @OP. If you never sell your payment in bitcoin, you are making a lot of money now as bitcoin is increasing higher than the last year. You can hold your bitcoin furthermore and wait for the next ATH that bitcoin will achieve later. And you can also try to increase your bitcoin amount by doing many things to get a chance to earn more bitcoin.

Same here, most of my payout in signature campaigns are mostly being saved in my wallet I mean I don't really need a lot of money so if I need some I just cut it out to 50% and still save the other 50%.

I mean it is easy to say but there are a lot of times where I've tempted to convert my bitcoin just because it becomes so big through the months or years of holding, I was thinking of maybe investing it to build an apartment.

Bitcoin is now back to 50k$ and I think the sudden drop was kinda normal because we just reach a new ATH and skyrocket over 60k$ so people take profit at that so a dump was already expected in my opinion.

Some of other people get that too, i think this is a good time to seek old wallet or maybe forgotten exchanges and maybe they can get a treasure, because some coins is pumped especially BTC, i found some satoshis in my old wallet and exchanges and can sell it at good price too.

Bull or bear season is a very subjective matter. So they can say anything they feel that can attract subscribers.
I believe not many YouTubers have real experience in crypto that can give better insights to beginners.

Not everyone pateverly waiting and boldly spend money to store Bitcoin while prices are falling sharply. It is the boldness to help you get rich and you deserve so. The easiest way to make profit from Bitcoin is indeed with Bitcoin holding, I'm happy with those of you who managed to profit 2x. Your decision is
very right by choosing holding Bitcoin when you want to leave crypto for a while, ultimately what you do yields extraordinary results. Indeed now

Personally, I've been busy with my studies and learning new stuff so I don't really have time to monitor BTC's market price which is why holding is the best option for me. Whether the price goes up or down doesn't really bother me at all because I'm into the long-term profit and will take profit when times come. So if you don't want to stress out yourself on analyzing and observing the market movement daily, just hold haha.

That was a good decision indeed. Most that believe in Bitcoin and have been around the market for a while would understand that, the bull market has not started yet as at that time and though even when you dont know when that will happen, HODLing assets like Bitcoin for a long time is never a loss, you can only double your profit only if you have patience with the market fluctuations.

Trust me, you did absolutely the right thing. You wouldn't make any profit by just converting it to fiat and keep it in bank etc. . As long as you choose to make a long-term investment, it's best thing to do. I'm not a fan of short-time investing much. It's very stressful and even riskier.

true, that we need to be thankful enough that bitcoin did not have to undergo a correction to the dreaded level. does bitcoin seem to provide an opportunity for altcoins to develop first, then it move back to move forward.

I feel you. I am also happy that I hold my bitcoin rather than cutting my losses. It feels like I've done something right in crypto. When I took a break in crypto last 2018, I am so depressed that time because I missed the ATH. I also focused on my full-time job. But something bigger awaits me. I didn't see this rise coming this fast. Another thing I thought I did as very good decision of mine is when I joined signature campaign last year during lockdown. I earned bitcoin weekly then I make this as an additional investment. Last year bitcoin price is not that hype so it feels like "buy low" but I really earned it. Now I can already sold it at its higher price.

It's quite a smart move for you to make considering that you are just a student right now, not everyone has the courage to hold this long. The issue about Elon Musk removing bitcoin as a mode of payment in Tesla might make a difference on bitcoin's price but still, it will come back stronger no matter what. When converted to fiat, I was earning around $2 per week. But the Bitcoin exchange rates went up by 100x or more from those levels, and that means that I was earning $200 per week as per the current exchange rates. The same can happen now as well. In the long-term, in all probability Bitcoin will rise to six-digits or even seven digits. The mBTCs that you earn now will be very valuable then.

Absolutely not... I did some gambling here and there when Bitcoin was three figures. Like gambling 0.1 BTC was no issue. Today it hurts when you look back! And yes there were indeed faucets in the very early days that paid a good chunk of BTC just fo free.

I have the same experience as you. I decided to leave cryptocurrency world back then in 2018, but at that time i still have some coins left in my wallet. Since the price is not that high again, i then decided not to convert it to fiat since i thought there won't be any use anyway, since the amount is small. How surprised i was when the market rises again, and the price go like 6-7 times from before, my "small amount" coins now turned into something that are quite a lot. That's because i'm hodling without intention, lucky me.
