You are the luckiest person because you didn't exchange bitcoins for fiat and came back at the right time, but I don't think it's a good strategy to hold bitcoin without looking at market movements at all because we know the price of bitcoin is very volatile so maybe it could rise sharply and fell very deep.

Everyone was really happy to see that the bitcoin is getting good and good as time passes by. We who are pioneer here in the cryptocurrency world knows the up's and down's that the bitcoin encounter especially to the bad image of it to the government and including also the bad image of it to other people that thinks bitcoin is a scam just because many people are using it as an front in their scamming activities. This is a good choice you make there, knowing that you made times two of the actual amount you left in your portfolio. My mentor will keep telling me to hold whenever I raised the issue of selling. Holding for a long time is the key to this market.

I purchased dogecoin in January 2021 and have taken a break from crypto to concentrate on more important things in my life, such as finding a career after I recently graduated. Congrats, you're so lucky. Many people are like you, earning profit in bitcoin for holding it in just a short period of time. But not all time are good. Holding is good if you have enough patience and hoping that bitcoin will continue to grow in the coming years.

Indeed you took a perfect decision but if I were you then I never opt to leave off this forum nor crypto space for any reasons. Because, when we are getting life changing opportunities from this crypto space, definitely I will not prioritize anything else over cryptos. Trust me, you did absolutely the right thing. You wouldn't make any profit by just converting it to fiat and keep it in bank etc. . As long as you choose to make a long-term investment, it's best thing to do. I'm not a fan of short-time investing much. It's very stressful and even riskier.

true, that we need to be thankful enough that bitcoin did not have to undergo a correction to the dreaded level. does bitcoin seem to provide an opportunity for altcoins to develop first, then it move back to move forward.

because now many altcoins are improving and even reaching renewable ATH, and it's time for bitcoin to start moving slowly but convincingly, to be able to return to its best price. maybe not the $ 60K target that bitcoin has already done, but bitcoin will be targeting a new target to break through $ 70K which may be a crucial number to be able to survive to continue to increase.

I feel you. I am also happy that I hold my bitcoin rather than cutting my losses. It feels like I've done something right in crypto. When I took a break in crypto last 2018, I am so depressed that time because I missed the ATH. I also focused on my full-time job. But something bigger awaits me. I didn't see this rise coming this fast. Another thing I thought I did as very good decision of mine is when I joined signature campaign last year during lockdown. I earned bitcoin weekly then I make this as an additional investment. Last year bitcoin price is not that hype so it feels like "buy low" but I really earned it. Now I can already sold it at its higher price.

Some other people receive that as well, and I believe now is a good moment to look for old wallets or even forgotten exchanges in the hopes of finding a treasure, since some cryptocurrencies, particularly BTC, are being inflated. I found some satoshis in my old wallet and exchanges, which I was able to sell at a reasonable price.

I think this is because many big institutions already started to adopt bitcoin and blockchain technology to their businesses. People who panic sold during bear season are definitely in regret now. It's quite a smart move for you to make considering that you are just a student right now, not everyone has the courage to hold this long. The issue about Elon Musk removing bitcoin as a mode of payment in Tesla might make a difference on bitcoin's price but still, it will come back stronger no matter what. How I wish I chose to hold my bitcoin during the 2018 dump up to now, for sure I will take up a lot of profit from it and at the same time, suffice the needs of my family considering the pandemic that has been going on.

HODLing Bitcoin is always better than many things in this market. For now, the price seems to be stuck at a level between $48k and $49k. It's because of the latest incidents of course. But we will leave these days behind sooner or later and I believe the bull market will go on.
