You are a very wise girl, secretgirl. I usually don't advise people to touch stocks. Stocks are in a big bubble which is about to burst anyway. It is always very wise to stick with what you know and you seem to know a lot about crypto and that means you should keep growing your crypto profits. There are too many scammers in the stocks market. Stay safe.

Crypto for more risk and more profit. Stock for less risk and slower profits. My choice is definitely in favor of crypto. Because there are so many people around me retiring with the right investment of $ 100. You can't do that with stocks.
I'm gonna wait until the day that stocks are tokenized and that brings up the opportunity of doing the same as cryptocurrency in term of massive ROI then that time i'm gonna invest into stock. With crypto we can lose 95% of our asset indeed but it can also go up 100x the initial investment so that's worth while though it's very rare to see an asset that drops 95% of its value so fast so maybe the odd is even bigger!.

i hope that comparing things doesn't mean we have to be fanatical about one and hate the other because the reality is that when people who often post technical analysis of stocks suddenly discuss crypto, a lot of negative comments appear

Everyone has their own views on investing in today's technological era, and the goal is the same to make a profit, I myself am currently involved in investing in both, and every investment always has its own negative and positive side as well as the risks we take

People have often compared crypto to stocks since owning a coin, represents your "share" of the decentralized blockchain network. Exchanges act as brokers in a similar fashion to traditional stocks. While stocks are fiercely regulated, crypto is the "wild west". Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, while stocks are much more stable. Despite crypto/Blockchain tech's popularity, stocks are still preferred by mainstream investors and traders alike. Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks? Is crypto getting closer to becoming regulated just like stocks? What do you think will happen if institutional investors come into play? Will stocks transition themselves to the Blockchain? Or is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I really like crypto, considering its fluctuating price, we can get more profit from stocks. Only people who are able to understand the risk of loss. If you are able to learn to analyze I'm sure you will be successful in the crypto world.

I mean for millionaires stocks surely a more attractive option, it has a slower phase though consistent market it can take a while if you have a small capital but if you are a big time investor you could consistently gain profit even the smallest movement in market gives you about a hundred to thousand. On the other hand crypto can be more profitable in short term and low capital investments, and that's what big investors are afraid of since you could gain big time or you lose more than you can handle.
Anyways I am sure with the right portfolio every investor can earn regardless of it being stocks or crypto, comfortability is what matters and if you're comfortable earning less but consistently stocks is for you but the problem is you can almost guarantee that you'll regret not investing in crypto as they pump like crazy and cryptos you like goes to moon. I've always seen some hype around crypto than stocks but both has advantages and disadvantages I would say.

As I have stated on here and with friends/family/random people...cryptocurrencies are NOT a replacement for the stock market. They are completely different assets entirely. Stocks are issued shares of actual businesses that offer a tangible good or service. Cryptocurrency is a digital currency which is NOT backed by a business offering a tangible good or service. I even created a writeup about this which I encourage those who are not familiar why crypto is not a stock replacement to read- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288768.msg55577767#msg55577767

Normally, we give feedback on a product, the manufacturer will make improvements, but in investment, our comments are not helpful, this environment is fixed by the rules, can't make money or fail just because we're wrong, can't blame the market

The thrill on crypto is higher and I feel we are more closely connected with it than many of the companies that around today even though they are very modern and innovative. In crypto there is something new everyday that you can study and make your decisions on. The speed of innovation is just different.

You sound a lot like a no-coiner mate.
Crypto is the best thing that has ever happened to the investment world. Nobody has any time to do all those researches, examining ratios, debts and such crap. Just buy bitcoin and it only goes up. Why can't it go up only? BTC has been going only up since its inception.
Don't believe me? Just see the BTC/USD chart.
Berkshire lol. Bitcoin returned 9999999999% since 2008.
Couldn't agree more with you, mate. Everyone knows crypto yields greater returns than stocks themselves. Already, Bitcoin is making stocks look obsolete. It shouldn't be long before institutional investors join the game. What's limiting crypto from replacing stocks is limited mainstream adoption. Despite 12 years in the making, crypto and Blockchain tech are still not mature enough for mainstream use. There's the issue of scalability, price volatility, and lack of a proper regulatory framework. Until crypto solves this, I don't see it replacing stocks anytime soon. What could happen is that the stock market switches to Blockchain technology for increased performance and reliability. This could enable interoperability between the world of crypto and stocks. But somehow, companies are skeptical of crypto/Blockchain tech. I wouldn't worry about this as long as crypto continues to be traded on the free market. Those who buy and "hodl" crypto early, will reap huge profits in the long term. It's what distinguishes the crypto market from the traditional stock market. Regardless of the negative criticism surrounding crypto/Blockchain tech, the revolution won't be going anywhere thanks to its focus on decentralization and censorship-resistance. Just my thoughts

Good for you if you find this venue much profitable than stocks, there are many people who see the same way, especially those who managed to make decent money from this investment platform, though people have different views in terms of comparing this two places, it's an open opinon to everyone.

Just my thoughts Scalability issue is being solved via side chains like liquid as I see it. It is not perfect but it seems to work. As you said, in the future NSADAQ and other major markets will probably operate on Ethereum or something similar. However, I stilll would buy crypto instead of stocks because stocks look like dead weight. They are matured long ago. Crypto is still in its infancy which means the room for growth is far bigger. The companies that are sceptical of crypto are changing their minds slowly. Look, even Tesla/Elon has backpedaled from their latest decision and decided to accept bitcoin for their products again. When this gains momentum, the others will have no other choice but to follow.

True but if you want to balance your portfolio, for example part of it as bringing you profits through sheer growth and part of it as relatively stable income in the form of stocks of a well situated dividend paying company, the question is whether you can get around stocks altogether. Sure you can but it may not lead to the perfect asset allocation that gives you risk exposure and upside potential plus a stable income stream.

Nah. I am not really a fan of stocks. Crypto is honest. Stock market is a casino. I'd rather buy more crypto with my crypto gains and have even more potential gains. But that's just me. Stock are in a bubble anyway and crypto is hanging just fine. It is also fairly easy to avoid taxes with crypto. That's not the case when you invest in stocks and I am not really a fan of paying taxes.

It takes courage to invest in crypto, and I don't think the people in the stock have that much courage.

Both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages, so comparing them is a bit hard. Stocks will be more suitable for those who are new to investment and prefer stable investment with lower risk, meanwhile crypto is more volatile and risky, thus promising a higher profit as well. It's all up to the person, what kind of investment they want to have. However, i guess stocks are safer, and crypto will be harder to be regulated globally, maybe government can ban or make it illegal, but they can't control or stop crypto as a whole. It's hard to do so.

Did you say more risk or you wanted to say more risk and small profit. I remember just last year when stock crash. The entire world was affected which many has never experienced in their life time in stock market. I prefer crypto, one of my reasons remains it been decentralized without a central authority. I will choose a shit coin or low market cap project over stock any time any day, though I can foresee the previous crash of stock, I will heavily invest in metals and gold.

I think that comparing crypto vs stocks is like comparing apples vs oranges. They're completely different things. Stocks are much more stable than crypto in part because they're widely regulated by mainstream governments. In crypto, it's the wild west (even if centralized exchanges themselves are regulated). This explains why crypto is highly-volatile in price. You can end up being rich or poor in an instant with crypto. What makes crypto entirely different from stocks is that crypto is not tied to a company or single entity. Crypto is decentralized, free from government and third-party interference. In case governments decide to crackdown centralized exchanges, people will still be able to access crypto directly by connecting to the Blockchain. P2P and decentralized exchanges will be the norm if this happens. You cannot do this with stocks since they're utterly centralized. Ultimately, investors will decide which type of asset to use to secure their capital depending on their needs. I'd go for crypto anytime since the chances of profiting from it are much higher than it's the case with stocks. More and more investors are joining the game so it should only be a matter of time before the stock market adopts Blockchain tech for its own benefit. Just my opinion
