PRiVCY-Core 2.0, ticker PRIV, is an innovative, user-friendly digital currency that enables instant, private payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. PRiVCY-Core 2.0 uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network.  PRiVCY-Core 2.0 is a private secure and anonymous cryptocurrency with support for Tor routing and a native Mixing function (PRiVCYSend).  PRiVCY-Core 2.0 has a low theoretical coin supply of 12,100,000 circulating PRIV coins and the actual number is far less with a total supply of 30,000,000 PRIV coins.  It features Masterodes and Proof of Work mining.

It is important to note this is a fair launch!!

The Swap

The swap was completed smoothly through StakeCube who handled the swap and is finalized.  The team decided a fair and impartial 3rd party should handle this.  For each PRiVCY one PRiVCY-Core 2.0 was given, that is an equal swap was performed.  This was done to maintain a fair launch for all.  The overall number of coins has remained the same at 30,000,000 PRiV.  The amount swapped was 12,091,100 PRiV this included a development fund of 250,000 PRiV.  The development fund was established to help test out the new coin features to verify the functionality and stability and for future development.

Coin Features

PRiVCY-Core 2.0 is forked from the DASH codebase.  This allows our coin to take advantage of the features of DASH's privacy, governance, and transaction speed.  We have added the PRiVCYSend capability.  Therefore, users can mix coins in their wallets for more private transactions.  The TOR routing system was kept to keep user's IPs secret adding another layer of privacy.

Since we are using the DASH codebase, there no longer is Proof of Stake rewards, however, in its place, we now have Masternodes and Proof of Work.  Each Masternode will require 25,000 PRiV coins.  A great guide for setting up a Masternode is given at https://discord.gg/VEnsXPRMWM.  We are excited that you can mine PRiV directly in your wallet.  However, it is more efficient to mine in the official pool https://minepriv.com. The YesPower algorithm was selected because it is ASIC and GPU resistant, meaning that everyone can mine the coin with fairness.  Since you can mine directly from the wallet or pool, all you need is the wallet, a CPU, and a miner to start yourself on your journey into the wonderful world of PRiVCY-Core 2.0 since no coins are needed as is required by Proof of Stake.
 
The Masternodes and Proof of Work mining rewards are variable and evolve with the time era.  Each MasterMode requires an investment of 25,000 PRIV.  The chart below shows the rewards. From block 0 to 1 is the mining for the swap.  From blacks 2 to 15,000 the rewards are nominal and total 750 coins.  This era is where we test the coin in all regards to ensure the functionality is proper and correct.  Although we don't expect to use all of these blocks for testing, we want to guarantee a fair launch therefore we are going to add 750 coins to the faucet from the developer's fund.

Mining PRiVCY-Core 2.0

Two optimized mining programs are available for the official PRiVCY foundation mining pool for Windows and Ubuntu.  The optimized CPU miner for Windows is located at https://github.com/champmine/cpuminer-opt-privcy-jayddee/releases/download/v3.17.0-priv/cpuminer_windows_release.zip.  to execute the command you need to use the following command:

cpuminer-[ver] -D <-t NUMBEROFTHREADS> -a yespower -o stratum+tcp://minepriv.com:6234 -u [PRIVADDRESS] -p c=PRIV

 

It is suggested that the above line be placed in a batch file, priv.bat, in the directory containing the extracted zip files.  The user must select the version, [ver], of the miner to be used and supply their own PRiVCY-Core 2.0 address,  [PRIVADDRESS].  Supplying the number of threads is optional, <-t NUMBEROFTHREADS>, but it is normal practice to make sure that NUMBEROFTHREADS is less than or equal to the number of cores present.

The Ubuntu miner is found at https://github.com/champmine/cpuminer-opt-privcy-jayddee/releases/download/v3.17.0-priv/cpuminer_ubuntu18_allarch.zip.  To execute this code under Ubuntu the following command is used:

What is happening to this project, no active community so far since the swap took place. I believe awareness and marketing should be done to bring this project to life especially now that the market sentiments are changing, any project that fails to position themselves for the coming bull run will be left in the crowd

The project has had a makeover. New blockchain and is not a POS coin now. It will be a POW/MN coin. It is now cpu mineable. So far it has been smooth and the rewards will increase a fair amount after block 15000. It was done that way to make sure it ran smoothly while not allowing any unfair mining. The team will be announcing it all over social media soon after making sure it's running well. I wish the project success as this team are a great bunch of fair and honest guys. Go get some while they are cheap on stakecube which is also a great trouble free exchange that does not require kyc ect.

PRiVCY still has Tor functionality, however it now requires some configuration. We're going to put out a guide in the next week to get you up and running with the Tor routing.

Hi everyone – I just want to let you all know about how awesome @Marco was in helping me with some issues I was having with setting up my Masternodes. He spent two days thinking about and finding solutions to my tech challenges. I am totally a non-tech person and was out of depth on this, but he guided me really well and made an incredible effort to help me. If this is the ethos of the PRiV team (@Riksen - PRiVCY  has been very helpful too), then this coin has a very bright future. Like most things in life, effort, commitment, drive, and team work are necessary to come out on the other side. I have exposure to other coins, and know when that is missing. It is not missing here! Keep at it TEAM PRiV!
