I don't have any work and I would probably not work if this current bullrun becomes profitable than I and many could've expected. But let's put it in hypothetical terms for me, if my job pays better and isn't a toxic one then probably quitting isn't the best option but if it is the other then I would definitely quit.

Many people already did. Whoever started buying crypto last year made at least x10 returns. Depending on how much they invested, that kind of returns are usually enough for most people to retire peacefully.

Might be that's the reason btc not making a new high. If sellers > buyers, price go down. $48k right now. Not looking good.

I know some people who quit in their job because of cryptocurrency but if you ask me if I will quit my job then I will and to be honest with you, I don't have a job to quit if ever that it will also happen to me. Sadly, I don't see myself quitting after this bullrun. I was hoping that I can start a small business for daily needs.

This is not a new situation, people around the world have become rich by investing in cryptocurrencies, there was talk on the forum about some people who allegedly also resigned after making large profits from cryptocurrencies ( Former Employees From Major South Korean Firms Quit Their Jobs After Pocketing Millions in Crypto Profits ). Some people set goals for themselves, and when they reach that goal they simply turn a new page in life.

I think that giving up a day job still depends on what each person does, I would never leave a well paid and easy job just because I profited from crypto - unless I decide to start my own business, which is not something for which every man is capable. You need to weigh the risks well, because otherwise you can lose your job and lose everything you earned from crypto - there is a fine line between success and failure.

I don't see myself doing that. Maybe if I make millions like those guys I'll do it, but right now it's not possible. Crypto is the world I live in, while it's not perfect it's suitable for my goal.

Unless I can find a job where I can make thousand of dollars each month in my country, quitting crypto is riskier than quitting my main job right now.

Personally I'm still not a graduate yet to actually have a good job to quit in the first place Grin but hypothetically, if I had a job that I like, no matter my financial position, I would never quit my job. My perception of life has changed radically, I always used to believe one day, I'll be very rich and quit every work and live the rest of my life in peace. But what I have understood is, there's really never a life like that, because the "peace" is nothing but boredom, and getting detached from the world means one will be ancient in no time! Hence, it's rather fun to stick with it and do some productive works for full life.

The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.
Yes, of course, there's always going to be the factor with the fact that he can earn with his current job but with his assets that have accumulated, it's enough to not do anything anymore and just enjoy the rest of his life not working. I think a lot of people's goals are to have enough amount of money and then start up their own thing or possibly retire.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
If I manage to earn that kind of money in my investments, I would quit as well. I mean, I wouldn't want to have to report to a boss anymore. It's good to be your own boss unless your company would let you be one of the top executives and decision-makers, maybe that's a great gig to have even if you are already filthy rich. Imagine having that kind of money, it's going to be a lot of fun to help people that really need it. It's going to be life-changing for them. I hope I can achieve that.

I currently have a couple of crypto jobs right now. If I had that big amount, I would choose not to quit even after this bullrun until my guts tell me that it’s the right time. Let’s say if I had that amount, I would maintain my job while diversifying my funds to invest in real assets like land, property, etc., or starting a passive income business with real products, etc. Coz’ for me, having no work makes me bored. Like my parents right now, they are both retired and no work, and they admitted that they are bored and looking to work on something.

IDK, if one millionaire made millions for himself and leaving the market then its all fine. There will always be another one standing right after him to make his own millions and who knows billions too!

This market is non ending because we have numerous millionaires who will always be there to earn crypto profits from it.

Hell, I am not quitting myself from the market until I make my millions, Oh wait, may be not after that. The quest continues for the billions; who knows!  Cheesy

"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.

Nah I don't see myself quitting my job for crypto as I consider crypto as "Secondary source of income" and it won't change.

Yes it can gain more profit than my primary job but the stability is not the same, my income will never be more or less, and it will always be a profit, while in trading, it can be a profit or a loss.

It is actually possible to quit working and be a full time trader. It is actually also possible to make so much money from an investment that you quit working - any type of work.
I am currently not working and I do not intend to work at all because I am making enough money already. Why put myself through the stress of waking up everyday to attend to a work that's gonna take the whole of my day when I have the alternative of making money in a less stressful way?
Trust me, a lot of people are gonna quite their works after this bullring because they are going to make a lot of profits.

Plus, if you’re still holding it in crypto you’re at enormous risk is losing it because of the volatility, so retiring with a lot of a speculative asset as your nest egg would be extremely risky.

No, I won't leave my stable job for crypto though I can't deny the fact that crypto is now my primary source of income but since it's volatile, we can't rely on it especially during the dip. The market situation isn't stable and anything could happen at any time. Instead of leaving my job, I would prefer to do both at the same time. It's just a matter of proper time management.

Some of us are in crypto for too long already... we will stay in crypto even if Bitcoin goes back to 0! Of course, that's not possible... but except for profit, some of us had a lot of fun with crypto over the years as well, so we will stay here... we will make some money, we will have fun with discovering so many new things! And in crypto, every new day brings many new things! Just turn around and try to compare the current state of crypto with crypto 3-5 or more years ago...
Basically, there's not quitting while the music plays! And somehow I believe that the music will not stop playing! Smiley

When the 2018 dump occured after the surprising bull run, I actually quitted but now that I have been given another opportunity to right my wrong and make the most beneficial decisions, I will never ever abandon bitcoin again no matter what. I lost hope during that time as I saw my investment going down so I started panic selling, after a long while bitcoin stayed down low. I thought at first it will never be able to come back strong once again but I was so amazed on how high it went last year. I will never waste this opportunity again and will do anything to gain much benefit from it.

Good point. It's about the journey as well as the destination. Once you get enough money to retire would be interesting to consider what to do with it - all in crypto, or diversify a bit?

I do, at least almost two months I quite my trading activity and also withdrawn all my investing fund. Especially when bitcoin price is failed to passed $66000 as its all time high I just doubt to make an entry. But, everyday I always make make an analsyt at least to see the market movement.

It is not about I get a huge profit or I enjoy with that but I see another reason on that. Like, I just focus on long entry position comparing to short position and almost my analyst just refer to short entry position and I'm not comfortable with that. And now my prediction is happening, almost crypto currency price including bitcoin is decreasing.

I don't think I would but I might take a rest or wait for all time low before bouncing back to it, I've seen a lot of investors earning less after the bullrun its not bad but rather than trying to get something out of it I would try to explore more options first then come back when things are stable, because I remembered that after the bull run in 2018 everything went pretty bad and it took at least a year to stabilize and have a positive market. Bullrun doesn't happen quite frequent but when it does I can always get an advantage off it and lay low when it ended.

To long term investors after the bullrun is where they find the right price so they can wait until the bullrun happen again then sell it, so I don't think there would be a lot of people to quit investing or trading after the bullrun at least the experienced once will always stay.

Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun?
No.  I don't have enough skin in the game (not even close) to quit my job and run away to some tropical island with a fat pile of crypto profits.  That might be doable for a Goldman Sachs banker who had enough capital to plow into the market, but not me.  Nor would I know what to do with myself if I wasn't working.  I'd prefer doing something useful with my life over just being rich and being fat and lazy.

But that's just me.  There are so many people getting rich right now that it's almost unbelievable--just think about anyone who had 1 million doge from when it was worth a fraction of a penny.  They now have more than most people have in their retirement accounts after working all of their lives.  Crazy.

You’d have to have invested, at minimum, hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to have made enough to retire peacefully, and I doubt it’s all that many people in that boat.
Nowadays, I kind of wonder about that.  See my example of the doge-illionaires above, and think about all these professional Youtubers making big bucks for making videos.  There's so much money floating around right now that there likely are a lot of young people with enough money to retire immediately if they wanted to.

No, that's not exactly for me. Money is important, but I really pity people that only work for one single purpose - earning money. Living from weekends to weekends, dreaming of a holiday. People spend the majority of their lives working, thus, to live happily and enjoy every day you need to do what you love to do.
I will never quit my job, no matter how much money I've got because I enjoy it. I can't imagine how people can live otherwise.

I understand that if you really love your job even if you earn less, you will not just leave it in exchange for money. But most of the people nowadays prefer to be their own boss and works at their most convenient time and place. If i can earn huge profits from the previous bull run, then why not? I'm not saying that i don't love my job because of quitting but i always prefer to have my own business even before and let it grow with my own skills and strategies.

I am 64. If the run fully dies off in 30 days or so I would certainly stick around.

But if this lull is the equivalent to the Jan-Feb 2017 lull in 9-11 months
we will be over 320000 a btc
eth will be over 18000
ltc will be over 5000
doge could hit 2 bucks.

those numbers would likely get me to retire next year.

My health is good.
I had a good year this year.
But it is not millions and millions of dollars

People have their own preferences when it comes to living their life. Some will really not quit their professional work even if they have enough money to put up their own business because it is how they feel contented in life. They are happy what they are doing. Whereas, some want to be their own boss, and strategize on their own to make and create a living. I guess, we just respect our personal preferences. As long as you are not harming anyone, you can move forward with your life the way you want it to.

I chose to stop working for someone else if I managed to make a big profit from crypto, but like you said most people want to own their own business.
So the working time can be adjusted to what we want, and it's very fun without having to follow other people's orders. Therefore, my main goal is
to invest in cryptocurrency, so that I can  get a very large profit and be able to retire early from my job. I do want to spend as much time as possible
with my family, therefore it is very important for me to be able to make a large profit from investing in cryptocurrency.

We are all targeting the same thing on where we do make ourselves rich or financially free with cryptocurrency investment and this is why majority of people here are aiming for that goal.

We do like to quit out into our job but not all would really be given out the chance for that opportunity to happen. It will always vary on how someone would smartly handle out their

crypto investment and we know that not all would really be giving or able to get the things that they do aim for.In my side, I don't see on quitting because I haven't still able to

hit my target but who knows that later years I would able to achieve that.

When you can live comfortably by quitting your job and focus on crypto, its your choice. WE all have different priorities. There are so many ways to make money out of crypto like staking or mining only.  I'd probably do my business still but this time I'm the one selling my own food shop and bring along my kid to learn as well while still do trading and participate in campaigns here.

I cannot say I will quit my job, but I fear I will need to quit crypto after this bullrun because manipulation levels are reaching sky and I cannot resist it. Quitting your day job due to crypto is possible only when enough profits have been fetched out of it during the bullrun. But I suggest that anyone, who successfully earns a fortune from this bullrun should stay away from crypto in bear times and wait for consistent dips to buy at older areas.

Obviously not! I have learned a lot in this forum in believing in bitcoin we must also recognize that we are a community with great defenders who do not give up bitcoin.
Weak hands will always be there but those who pursue an ideal there will be with bitcoin forever.

Not in my case, because I don't have enough invested by far. If after this bullrun I had $15M in profits, yes, I would quit. Another thing is that after a vacation, I would continue working but in a more investing facet.

I read that doge is incredibly concentrated in a relatively small number of addresses, so I don't know how many people exactly are "getting rich" off doge, but I wouldn't put the number very high. I also doubt anyone shilling crypto on youtube makes very much money. You need to consistently get millions of views to make a good income.  Also, none of them really say anything insightful.

There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding but it's my fault for not making it clear. When I said quitting day job, I was referring to the fix 9-5 job where you work for someone else like the banker in the OP. I didn't mean to say you quit your crypto investments/trades or activities that generates income. It's more about being your own boss and/or working on your own terms (flexible time).

~

Wait until you hear stories from those who bought another meme token inspired by Doge in 2020 and held on in 2021. A ~$20 turned into a million. At least that was the case before Vitalik started dumping millions that were sent to him by the devs.

I don't know what to think of myself when i feel so fucking envious listening The Pharmacist quote about all the youtubers and influencers getting rich from shilling crypto. Then i feel a sense of relief when someone points out that they probably aren't so rich. LOL. I could really use some perspective here from those of you who haven't "made" it, the way apparently every Alt-coin trader and crypto influencer seems to be making it.

I mean, here we were trying to think that how things will be in the long run and how saving little amounts of Bitcoin over a long time would probably set us for life. Along come the people throwing in 1 BNB on SHIB INU and surpass your net worth when CZ lists it, LOL. I mean, good for them, but this surely isn't a good experience.

Personally, the bullrun didn't made much of a difference to me. I definitely have more than i had earlier but no moonshots. Just a lot of hard work trying to wrap my head around concepts and becoming part of some fruitful communities, hoping that they would amount to something more than just meme nonsense.

Unfortunately I don't have enough coins to make any substantial profit. I mean even if you bought 10 bitcoins back in the days for 1 USD, you would have 500,000 USD now. But is this really enough to quit your job and retire? I feel like we need more money than that in the long run, especially if we have a family and kids to take care of. If we already have a house with mortgage and some other savings it might work. But what do we do if price drop?

It would be really great if the bull run went high enough to where even starting a business of your own would be unnecessary.  I think the ultimate dream is to be able to invest in the businesses for your friends and family in order to get them out of the rat race or to have enough money to spend all your time giving it away like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.  Starting your own business is no small feat either though.  Especially if you're able to do it with something you love.

I've quitted my job since 2017 for crypto only because my monthly salary is just 100$, not enough to feed myseld and crypto gives me more than this in few weeks and months, that's the nature of a country that's poor and crypto is the perfect rescuer

I know this is not the best decision or thing I have made, but since this bullrun I have already quit on my 9-5 to focus entirely in cryptocurrencies. Then again it has immensely helped me get by these past few months and as long as the bull runs, I'll stay out of employment because it really stresses me out. Then again I know this is not going to stay forever so I am always ready to apply for a new job once the bear comes in.

Nope I don't really see myself quitting on crypto because it is my source of income maybe even if I get a real job I would still continue on it.
I see it as a way for me or us (my family) to get out of poverty or have a better life.
I would continue to invest on it and earn from it as much as I could.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I could not make enough money on cryptocurrencies to give up everything and open my own business, so I continue to work in crypto. But there are certainly those who have already made good money and why not cash out their profits? Personally, I did the same. It so happened that I am more eager to get real things, but since it is difficult to make money on these things now using traditional methods, I have to work with crypto, which of course helps a lot. However, you need to understand that there is risk everywhere and in crypto as well, so you need to correctly set your priorities and goals.

The question is.. did he quit his job or was he given the option to quit, before they fired him? You cannot work for a Bank and then profit millions from their arch enemy. Banks have tried their best to convince people and the regulators that Crypto currencies was a scam and Satan from Hell.... so why would they allow someone to work for them, when that person is profiting from the competition.

If I had the money, I would create a Bank just for the Crypto currency community. It will be the ultimate FU to the Banks if they close Crypto currency users Bank accounts and then having them joining the Crypto "friendly" Banks and giving the Banks a finger!   Wink

It depends upon the stress level and how much you are enjoying your job that you make decisions like these. In my position i might have quite my job and start my own company because that is what i am doing right now and anyone invested anything in the cryptocurrency market in the past one year could easily make a huge profit and start something of their own and because of these pandemic situation i started a decent medium scale farm basically for my own consumption Grin.

Not in my case, because I don't have enough invested by far. If after this bullrun I had $15M in profits, yes, I would quit. Another thing is that after a vacation, I would continue working but in a more investing facet.
Yeah man, it depends on the level to which you can make a profit, if that is not enough to even get the business going, I don't think I will go out that easily either. I will make sure that in the future I can get income regularly before leaving

I quit 5 years ago. I didn't see the point on keep working for a regular company when I can make profit from crypto. Obviously I am not a trader alone, I also work and I have been part of 4 different projects so far and I have been working as a ceontent creator for the past 3 years as well.

That is why I quit, not because I knew that I would make a profit from the trading because I know that there will be good days and bad days in trading and I couldn't risk it, but the content writing helped me a lot during this period and that is how I have been making my income. That is why I was capable of quitting 5 years ago and I tell the same thing to everyone, if you could find a job in the crypto world that you are good at, you will be capable of doing this for a very long time and you could basically just do whatever you want without worry of your boss.

The thought of leaving a job after a win is a new direction but not so good if they are having a good job.
Money is hard to come by, but leaving the job you do best looks awful.
Working is not only to earn money but it is a dedication to society as well as to practice professional skills.
I don't know what people who have left their jobs will do next and with the money they make. Personally, I wouldn't leave my job.

Most definitely if I was to make that kind of eff you Money  Grin. The reason I work is to make money and I just made that through cryptocurrency investment so I wouldn't see any reason to continue working 9 to 5 if I can simply now reinvest some of the money when the time is right back into crypto again and re-run the process.

Your statement looks contradictory. At one side you are complaining about how bad it is to work every day waiting for weekends and holidays, at the same time you are supporting working because you love to work. When we do what we love, it isn't work anymore, it's a fun activity, so I don't think the former part of your statement makes any sense Tongue

A lot depends on what place you live.

I am in NJ , USA

I would need 3-5 million minimum. I have some set pension money so it drops the number to maybe
2-3million after taxes.

Frankly I am not at that point.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
I guess there is also the fact that would you quit your day job, or would you quit working? Those are very different things. If I had 1 million dollars I would definitely quit my job there is no question about that, I quit my job way before I had that much money and now fully in crypto. However completely stop working? That sounds like a bit too much don't you think?

I feel like everyone needs to do something in their life, it doesn't have to be about money, that is why "working" doesn't mean job, it just means working on something, you could be working on leveling up in a game, that is as further away from job as it can get but it is still working on something, you could be working on making handmade chair, that maaay become profitable but you do not have to do it for that neither. Basically I am 100% supporting "working" in that sense but if I have 1+ million dollars I wouldn't work at all for money.

Well it depends how much profit I made. If I can live financially stable because of the earnings I had in crypto then I will consider to quit in my day job.

But nowadays its better to be wise, earning huge doesnt mean you can already stop working especially if you have a family to feed. Thus before I quit to my job, I need to ensure first the welfare of my family especially the kids.

Because the cost of living currently are really expensive.

The reason why cryptocurrency is developing so fast, because cryptocurrency can provide financial freedom to investors who are lucky
to generate large profits. Our goal is all the same, to become rich by investing in crypto, but the practice is not as easy as imagined.
Because crypto price movements are indeed very difficult to predict, so if you are not careful you will not get the profit, but we can
experience losses when investing in cryptocurrency. So investing in crypto cannot provide instant wealth, It needs a long process,
so that we can get rich from crypto. Therefore, we must be consistent and patient to be successful in the crypto world.

The question is.. did he quit his job or was he given the option to quit, before they fired him?
I don't think that's even relevant. It's a personal investment and it's not illegal in their country anyway. Only Jamie Dimon would do a silly move to fire employees trading crypto.

You cannot work for a Bank and then profit millions from their arch enemy. Banks have tried their best to convince people and the regulators that Crypto currencies was a scam and Satan from Hell.... so why would they allow someone to work for them, when that person is profiting from the competition.
Goldman Sachs had been working to offer crypto services to their wealth management clients https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/31/bitcoin-goldman-is-close-to-offering-bitcoin-to-its-richest-clients.html

A lot depends on what place you live.
Exactly. A $500K would make anyone from developing countries a multi-millionaire already. Expenses aren't that expensive compared to developed countries. Besides, you can set aside some of that to some investments that would give you passive income.

~ But what do we do if price drop?
You already converted them into fiat in your example.

~
I guess there is also the fact that would you quit your day job, or would you quit working? Those are very different things.

When says "Quitting" does this mean permanently ? or he was just waiting for another chance ?

because crypto investment is like a gambling and if you once made a Big amount of money then for sure you will return back to try that luck gain.
So basically it is not quitting but just taking out profit.

It depends, if your jobs pays better then stick with your job, this man that OP is talking about turned millionaire and left his job, this is a different case something that doesn't happen everyday, I've quit my job for years now and I'm fully into crypto, I'm not a millionaire yet but I have a crypto mining farm and it's more than enough for me

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
I save some of my income coming from crypto and I believe it was enough to start running a small business.
And I hope my business will succeed or else, I'll be going back to receiving paycheck to paycheck again. It is to understand that quitting the day job is a hard decision to be made but can't reach our dream of becoming rich if we just keep working. Having another source of income is an ideal plan that we need to pursue what we wanted to happen in our life in the future.
And maybe with the help of joining signature campaigns might be enough to sustain my needs.

Anyway, I wish good luck to all future business owners.

don't think so, been here for years even if I make ten millions dollar overnight there's nothing wrong in making some additional million dollars right?  Grin the thing is, there's no guarantee you gonna succeed by starting your business but if you're used to making money in crypto then big fat chance it's better to just sticks, just don't speculate too much if you afraid of risk there are many ways of making profit from your hard earned money without betting all your asset.

It depends, if your jobs pays better then stick with your job, this man that OP is talking about turned millionaire and left his job, this is a different case something that doesn't happen everyday, I've quit my job for years now and I'm fully into crypto, I'm not a millionaire yet but I have a crypto mining farm and it's more than enough for me
That's what I thought too, we are vastly different from this guy, if you quit your job because you got big on crypto isn't advisable since you probably haven't reach the million profit yet, also if your job has good pay and benefits, why quit? Any source of money is good especially if those goes straight to your retirement, you will have more money for retirement. Why quit this bullrun? I mean this is a good opportunity to accumulate a lot of bitcoins because in the future, the prices will go back up and you don't want to be arrive at that point empty-handed.

right, after I get a lot of money from bullrun, then only a small portion of the capital I use to trade in crypto, most of the others, of course I will diversify into other businesses such as property, I have to have several different businesses to support my financial stability

How I wish I would have the same end game.
In this pandemic, expenses had grown. I didn't realize it until the bill came.
Then, there is food. When you are at home, you're always hungry.

I have my investments in BTC and Ethereum but it's not yet time to withdraw for me. I think I am still young and I want to make more.
My goal is not to just secure my future but also for my kids and who knows, maybe I could spare some for my grandkids.

That is the best plan, if we manage to make 10 million USD and more, the best we can do is to diversify our wealth. If we buy a few houses/apartments and rent them out, buy our own company and spread the rest of the money out into cryptos/stocks and commodities we should be set for life. It comes all down to financial independence and how much money we need in the rest of our life.

I already quit my job last 2017 bull run and so far I manage to buy a farm which give me yearly sustainable passive income and also my crypto venture still profitable so I'm happy right now that I don't need to go to office and work without happiness.

Hopefully others will also think about building up a offline business and will not spend their earnings on nonsense thing so that they can get out on office slavery.

I don't think I will quit even if I have millions of dollars since I don't know what to do if I'm not working and I'm already an entrepreneur Grin
But this is reasonable advice if you really hate your job and want to try something else.
But to stop working and just having fun every day is not good, as human needs challenge, sweat, sad and happy moment, to live the life fullest.

I don't see myself quitting after this bullrun. Even after my investment already profited, I don't plan on leaving cryptocurrency community. Foremost, this field gave me so much opportunities. It taught me how to manage my money and to be strategic on where to put your hard-earned funds. I plan to continue investing for long term for my pending goals as well to be ready for my retirement year.

Secondly, considering the range of salary nowadays, it's hard to save money. It'll take a very long time for you to save enough because you're even barely making something for survival during the present time. Unless of course if you have another stream of income, then good for you. You can quit peacefully because you have already secured your portfolio. However, in my case, I don't plan on being enslaved with work that just occupies most of my time without proper compensation of my skills and expertise.

Lastly, I love investing on crypto. I know it's volatility that's why I'm also cautious on how I will manage my investments. It gives me satisfaction whenever I trade. I always weigh the risks before diving into it; may it be spot trading or in futures. Do what suits you. This is just my personal preference. I know that we have different takes on this matter.

I do not want to quit what I did on crypto even if I can make thousands of dollars because I found that crypto is my passion, although I do not have many skills. But it is like I found my own world in crypto and I still want to use crypto in my daily life, maybe until I leave this world. But I will try to start a new business later when I can make more money.

With or without the Bullrun I personally plan to retire really to be my own boss, making enough money and fully strategized on what so ever plan and businesses that I want to venture into can make me quit my job. But this particular bullrun won't be the one leading to my quitting maybe later in the future.

I would also do things where if I was in his position, working at the company was very boring for me, because I had to follow my boss's procedures, and if I had enough money I would rather open a business that is clearly profitable and self-managed.

I would still continue working on my day job even after creating tons of money with cryptocurrency and that would supposedly mean I will to be the boss of my own business or company making me not to quit my day job. But if I am just an employee, probably I will quit after making big money to fund my own business or company because that is already an opportunity for me to create bigger possibilities for my own.

But with regards to quitting with cryptocurrency after the bull run. Probably not. I cannot see myself quitting with cryptocurrency after the bull run for I have already been here for years and it seems like it became part of my daily life situation and have already been through many challenges about cryptocurrency ever since I have got engagement in here. I am seeing no valid reason for me to quit working on with cryptocurrency anymore because despite of many negative news or comments regarding it, I have still stayed with it.

The question is that if you would quit crypto world, it is quit working. I mean if you made so much money from the crypto world why would you stop making profit from the crypto? That would not make any sense at all and that is why I believe people will keep on making profit as long as possible if they can, BUT they may quit their job if they do that.

For me personally, I did say for years that I would stop "working" if I had a lot of money, but it has to be a lot of money, even if I have like 100k-200k dollars (which is a ton of money in my nation, can buy a huge villa) I would still work, I would have to have 1+ million dollars to completely stop working, and only if I can, if the thing that allowed me to have a million dollars requires me to keep working I would be glad to do that as well. This is why I agree that crypto should always be in our lives.

If I should make millions of dollars from my investment in cryptocurrency, of course I am going to quit my stupid day job. The reason why most of us quit is not just because of the type of jobs that we are doing, but because the people we are working for can be so easy, and it's so damn annoying to have bosses that have no single sense in them.

So, if I should make millions of dollars by investing in cryptocurrency and trading then I am going to quit my job and open my own business. Seriously, it's best to have your own job and have peace of mind, knowing that no one is going to be telling you what to do and acting really stupid just because you're under them. The dream of most people to be under anyone, but have their own business and be rich and successful. Though I am not waiting for cryptocurrency to give me that life, I am already working hard towards that and by God's grace I'm getting there.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
Quiting on a job because of an accumulated worth of something, in this case, cryptocurrency is one thing and quiting only to regret later is another. To be able to take such a decision without any regrets, you must first ensure that its actually worth it. In the sense that, you have a regular and sustainable source from your new trade, if that is archive able, then there isn't a chance in hell not to quite. What better joy would you have to be in charge of all your affairs, determine how much work you wish to put in to get desired results and working at your own time and pace. Regular jobs could be really stressful and boring but, thats when you ain't doing what you love and was totally in it for the money. Should it be what you love and could actually be happy at your job, then the bullrun closure won't make me stop.

I won't ever quit probably. I like this scene and i feel like i am part of something. Also i know more every day and i am better in this then many other jobs i have. Also i can pretty much make my own schedule and work from home. And this fills the need for excitement that i would need to fill otherwise with probably bad choices.

I get to learn a lot and found new friends. Which is great because i don't have IRL friends to talk about this and cryptos are something i really enjoy talking about.

Not with this bull run I guess. My holdings isn't that big as that banker to quit. I think it will take another bull run or two before I finally say that I quit but there's also the mindset that tells me, why I should quit? there's no need to quit if you're still getting the profit through just investing on it.

As we grow old, our mindset changes, our desire changes and our decision matters based on our situation. Maybe with what I've said it's because of my situation but if I get better then that would also change.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.

I think few people here will ever achieve anything like those figures, this ex-banker was likely on a 6 or 7 figure salary before this and had a lot of fun money. The average fun money most people have is a few hundred dollars, his fun money may have been tens of thousands. If he had large holdings of Dogecoin when it was still worth less than half a cent then he would have made colossal gains. The rich get richer. The best plan for most people is diversifying and not holding all your eggs in cryptocurrency - seriously, learn about how the stock market works and make sure you own real estate property. Spreading your money and lowering your average risk is the most sensible plan, even if it is not a very exciting one. Starting a business is not for everyone, but you can own pieces of great businesses and avoid all the hard work by investing in stocks. Personally, I go slow and steady with a small Bitcoin holding.

Not yet, thanks to bitcoin many opportunities have opened to me which I did not had access before, but we must take into consideration the next, the pandemic is still ongoing and we do not know when this is going to end and having a job now is a blessing, obviously if I had 14 million dollars as the person you bring up on the news I will quit now, but since that is not the case I prefer to keep my job and all the benefits that comes with it.

Quit what? Smoking you mean? Nah, the tendencies are now exactly the opposite, people who already have a good deal of wealth are actually depositing part of it in crypto, precisely bitcoin to defend themselves from the irresponsible monetary policies, which is why bitcoin exists in the first place.

Moving part of my assets to something else than crypto, certainly yes, I have always been in favour of a balanced portfolio and that applies to all my assets. Most people have a large part of their wealth in the form of a house, I personally concentrate much less and my job is just another income diversification. why get out of this business, while we already recognize the characteristics of bitcoin. that way we can minimize risk and gain profit in order to increase our assets so that we can become people who have achieved financial freedom later, but when you think about it, trading bitcoin seems to have become a hobby for me.

I'm not sure if I will have any 'quitting' plan even during the bullrun. Investing on financial markets and bitcoin is my second job and my first income because I spend less time and earn much more money. However, I still need my own job to have a passive income other than the money I earn from the crypto market. Even if I earn millions from bitcoin, I will still not quite my job because having a job will give my life discipline other than the fixed income I get from it.

I would quit my job if cryptocurrency received worldwide acceptance, be stable or at least less volatile. But that is hard to achieve and it will take ages to achieve. What I dont like in general is a huge volatility. I have a family to feed. During last 2 weeks, my portofolio's value has decreased for 20%. I cant imagine myself going to my kid and saying that now we will wear 20% less of our clothes and we will eat 20% less food. Because an explanation like "you know, that is all because some uncle wrote something on twitter" wont be accepted or understood.

No I am not going to be quitting my job anytime soon. I did make some profit from this bull run, though I wouldn’t say that it is enough for me to resign from my job, but it is enough for me to stay laying my path. The money I have made so far from the investment, the profit I have now is enough for me to start up a good business that I can be making side income from, and that’s what I have been working towards.

And maybe from the side business I will be able to raise more money and grow it and then be able to quit from my office job and go into a business of my own full-time. For now I am not going to quit cryptocurrency investment, I am still going to continue with it. I have never had any intention of quitting.

There will be always unpredictable changes in crypto as long as its remain to be volatile and i think we will live for it. So it's really hard to retire from your well paid day job and focus on crypto if you still don't see financial security up to these days.

But i also get to know a person who's brave enough to retire from his job and now fully dependent on crypto. He's already enjoying the luxuries and all the good things in life but this one is definitely a high risk decision. But you will not also experience the best of crypto if you're not willing to take the risk.

Not yet, thanks to bitcoin many opportunities have opened to me which I did not had access before, but we must take into consideration the next, the pandemic is still ongoing and we do not know when this is going to end and having a job now is a blessing, obviously if I had 14 million dollars as the person you bring up on the news I will quit now, but since that is not the case I prefer to keep my job and all the benefits that comes with it.
why get out of this business, while we already recognize the characteristics of bitcoin. that way we can minimize risk and gain profit in order to increase our assets so that we can become people who have achieved financial freedom later, but when you think about it, trading bitcoin seems to have become a hobby for me.
When I posted that I would not quit yet I was referring to my job and not bitcoin, I am never quitting bitcoin, it would be the worst decision of my life if I did something like it, and while I am not the smartest person around the world I can at least understand that much, even if my job is not the best in terms of pay I have good benefits and I treat my bitcoin like an additional retirement account, so I hope I can retire way earlier thanks to that but right now it is not the moment to do anything like it.

The bear market happened so suddenly that I expect many of us got caught off guard. The drop in prices happened so fast that I didn't sell any coins in time. And now it feels like the prices are too low to sell any of my holdings. Prices my drop more in the future but I will keep holding. So no way I quit after the last bull run. Who knows when the next bull market will come, it could take years again.

Have to be optimistic, the next bull run might surpass the current all time high by a hundred folds and you might be thanking your past self that you didn't sold your bitcoin during the current bear market. Also, I don't see the point of quitting because that would mean that there's no turning back.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.

What's a day job, I never had one, was always working for myself. If your question includes "would you retire" option in it then no, I wouldn't. Tried that before and very quickly got bored doing nothing and just enjoying myself. I find it hard to live when there's nothing to occupy your brain, so I'd continue running businesses I have.

PS Not related to the guy in the article, he's obviously pretty wealthy after such a career even without extra crypto money: I've seen and heard of a lot of people who got rich fast. Yet I don't personally know a single one who had managed to keep that wealth, most of them just wasted it all.

As a person that have been into crytocurrency for almost five years and have made enough money from it I see no reason of quiting .Many people have already quit due to the recent bear market not knowing that no matter the market situation you can still make money from it either by making a good investment like defi projects or trading of altcoins

Quiting after you have get used to be with crypto? I think it’s very difficult for you to start a new life again, it’s espeically difficult for me to make change to the comfort zone, bravo to the banker who could quit without second thought, but the banker would have to worry about what to do on his spare time, he might come back and run some project and offer coins who know.

Quitting sounds a bit extreme.  Maybe refocusing one's energy on more fulfilling aspects of life than trying to lift an alternative investment into the stratosphere.  After all, Bitcoin doesn't seem to be banking the unbanked anymore so I'm not sure if the fundamental reasons I got involved with Bitcoin even exist today.  I certainly didn't get involved to make bankers' lives easier or enrich Wall Street fund managers, so maybe to some in the community it feels more like Bitcoin quit on us.

The problem is new generation today can’t never have a job that they can truly enjoy working for because the job market has over the boom and bust period, remember people is rushing to work as internet celebrities too because it’s enjoyable but today it’s over the boom and bust as well, internet celebrities is just another sweat shop occupation, that also include many of those defunct internet porn star, they do not earn as much and also they’re not enjoying their job too, all of them are overrated after a while.

many people leave these jobs and choose to work for real. They choose to work in factories or companies because of the money they earn each month for sure. much different from this job, sometimes working 3 months they don't get anything. patience is the main requirement to work in this place

well it might be a tempting thing to do, to quit job after this bull run , but then you have to think twice if you really want to quit but if you have planned it long ago and been preparation for your next step, and you have enough money then and only then you could quit.

If this is your day job, then it is not your choice to quit though, quitting would be very for the kinds of you who consider trading/investing as their day-job.

In my past years here in the cryptocurrency in which I've encounter so much bull run and even bear market I didn't manage to quit in cryptocurrency because I've already earning here and even there is a bull run we are still earning very well but it is vice versa when the market becomes bear in which it almost of us will experience an hard loss. Due to this experiences that I've made I didn't consider myself on quitting after this bullrun especially now that we are entering in the bear market situation.

No, doing a real job which is purely related to course that I finished is fulfillment for me. I need a passive income that I know it’s a sure income. I don’t have enough money to start a business of my own. There are so many competitive business owners here in our place, and I do not have enough knowledge about starting my own business. Profit in cryptocurrency is not consistent, you still have days that you might lose. If I still manage to do it in the same time, I still want to do it. I think it will benefit me more rather than sacrificing one of doing cryptocurrency and my current job.

The bull run hasn't yet started. Who want to quit now? Obviously those idiots who believe that Bitcoin is some magic potion which will make them millionaire overnight will be disappointed with the correction. And they will sell their coins at dips. IMO, this is actually good for Bitcoin. If coins remain at the hands of these people, it will be like a ticking timebomb. You never know when these people will dump their coins. Now these coins have moved from noobs to more experienced people and that is good for the overall well being of Bitcoin.

After all it was the dream of many including me and believed that BTCitcoin would bank the unbanked even without thinking about the hurdles we had to overcome even to come to a conclusion like that. The fundamentals changed a lot and with changing concept everyone evolved as well and that was the interesting aspect i see in the market  Grin.

The wall street investors are here from the last rally and now their presence can be felt as they are investing billions in the market which was the main driving force behind this years rally and they will book their profit driving the market down. That does not mean that the investors who are in this market will quit after the bull run as majority are here for the long run and not just here for the pump and dump.

As a person that have been into crytocurrency for almost five years and have made enough money from it I see no reason of quiting .Many people have already quit due to the recent bear market not knowing that no matter the market situation you can still make money from it either by making a good investment like defi projects or trading of altcoins
The idea is that if you reach a certain level of profit, would you stop, that is the main idea. Let's say you made over a million dollars from bitcoin, you can withdraw it and it will be in your bank account, will you stop? That is the type of question that everyone has in their mind and the answer is never the real answer until you actually do.

I have a friend who started bitcoin trading back in the day 4-5 years ago as well and he started with 16 thousand dollars and reached over 2 million dollars. He was already someone in the finance world and that is why it was easier for him to make that kind of money, he dropped under 2 million recently with these drops but he still has a lot of money. He said he will stop after 1 million but realized he could just put a stop loss at his 1 million and whatever above that he makes will be a profit and can keep going, if it ever drops to 1 million dollars profit for him, he could sell and get out.

Most beginners think that they will make a quick profit from bitcoin due to its significant bullishness, but they are also unable to hold or understand the correction, so instead of trying to find a solution, they will sell it right away for fear of accepting bigger losses on their portfolio

Bitcoin should  hold by those who fully understand the value of this asset. Like what you have said, it's better for those weak investors to throw their coins while the market still in correction period,

Allow those strong holders to keep this coin and let the this situation passed, the cycle will repeat itself and again we will see new bounce to work back again and bring another rise.

Early this year we've seen the best of Bitcoin but it's not the last time we will see that as progress with adoptions continue to wide its scope.

Why would quit up into something that can give out the chance for you to make money or income?

Its insensible for you to take such action even if you do know that you can really make out most of it if its done correctly. For those who had secured out profit

before the market crash or serious correction are the ones who had make out some good calls because the market is really on reds now but doesnt mean that
its already over.

Some sees it as an opportunity but some had tended to quit out because they had been badly wrecked on the current situation.

I was thinking about quitting my job to spend more time on my own passions and invest more when in 2017 I won a lot of money. The crypto crash in 2018 made me rethink my investment and my work.
I think we should continue to work, a job that we love or match our ability to maintain skills, discipline habits. It is good to educate our children later and labor is not wasted.

Payouts are always different depending on your country, in mine I prefer crypto over jobs because jobs sucks so bad in my country and crypto is paying me more either in bear or bull market so I quit jobs years ago
So you are not among the ones who profited big during this year's bull run. This question I think is targeted at those who invested heavily during the bull run and almost every coin saw a huge growth so if you invested in any coin, chances are you profited big time and whether you want to chance it again or just leave the market now.

I didn't profit too much either during this bull run but I managed to squeeze decent profits and I am not going anywhere any time soon because I am sure the real value of these tokens and coins are much higher so there is a lot of space for growth. People who invested in bitcoins around 2010-11 must have thought that $1k was too big a price for bitcoins. I don't think even a million-dollar per bitcoin is too big given the kind of growth I have seen over years. I am going to stay in the market but maybe after all that is happening, I will be more cautious from here.

There are already a lot of people who quitted their job just to focus on cryptocurrency, on my part, I wouldn't do the same thing, I don't have work yet because I am still a student but if ever that I have work now then I don't think that I will quit my job because I think my knowledge about cryptocurrency is not yet enough to be successful on it, maybe in the future if ever that I already know that the knowledge I have now is already good for me to succeed then I will do it just to focus in the crypto community, I know how good to be good in the crypto world.
Unless you have so much bitcoin that you can live out of it for the rest of your life for a price half of what it is right now it does not make sense to quit your job, after all even if bitcoin has been the best investment option since it was created a job gives you benefits like health insurance, retirement fund and other perks that are important and not easy to replace, besides if you keep your job you can keep getting more bitcoin instead of having less which is important as you do not want to sell your bitcoin for a bad price.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.

Ah, that's an easy question, at least for me, since I quit my "day job" a long time ago and I'm more than happy that I did it. Cool
IMO the question should be harder like "what if your job is related to cryptocurrency, you will even think about quitting it?" My answer to this question is NO WAY! Grin

Well, if you picked the right horse either during the bull run in 2017 or the bull run that was now happening, what kind of job can compete with the returns you could have made in crypto? Imagine you love cartoons and put a million USD into Dogecoin in June 2020, what on earth would you have as your daily job that earned you as much as Dogecoin if you held it for almost a year?

I would like to build my own company if I have enough capital from cryptocurrency. Now, I am still learning. I am a student in university. I learning business management. When I have enough money from cryptocurrency investment I am planning to buy land and start farm company that produce meat, milk and etc. My goal is to exporting those product. I already have innovation idea to reduce farming cost. I don't like to become an employee forever, I will only become an employee for learning purpose. I know some good altcoins that the price are cheap enough, I see it's great potential so I will put more money on those cryptocurrencies.

It's all depends on how much of a profit I am able to accumulate after the bullish run. Quitting my day job should mean I have the resources to fund a business of my own that would cover-up for the salary l just relinquished.

But I am certain for sure a whole lot who own reasonable amount of crypto currency in their wallet would consider this after the major bullish spike we are actually expecting sooner than we can imagine

If your job gives a decent pay and covers all the benefits then probably it will be bad choice for you to quit since those benefits are free money. You don't have to put all of your time in bitcoin, just check on it from time to time and you are already good to go, no need to do some kind of compromise.

Everyone certainly dreams of having their own business, especially after the bullrun and we get a lot of money where to get the capital to open our own business. but I think I will still make money from the market, because it is a hobby, even though only a small portion of the capital we use for trading or investing

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.

it seems like I am forced to continue with my job so far because my current job is able to meet the basic needs of my life, but if I have a lot of advantages from investing in cryptocurrency later, I plan to open my own business and become the boss of my own company.

I would like to, but I can't, because my investment in crypto currency isn't big enough to supply my daily needs' costs and potential activities I want to realize.
To quit their job people need to hold several bitcoins, even if it's going to pump 100%-1000% in price futurely. Although bitcoin is a life changer, most people won't be able to achieve the total financial freedom anyway, because it's not that easy to find someone holding 1 bitcoin or more.

Obviously not! Why would I give up if there will be another halving in the next year, potentially causing another bull run in the crypto market? I don't see any reason to abandon this cryptocurrency if new altcoins are being created on a daily basis and have the potential to grow due to their features and functions in the crypto world.

I will achieve my financial freedom in the next years so I think crypto is the solution for every people's dream to get rich.

I'm also waiting for other altcoins that have a huge potential in the market such as ADA, a huge project that will definitely shake the market soon!

Everyone certainly dreams of having their own business, especially after the bullrun and we get a lot of money where to get the capital to open our own business. but I think I will still make money from the market, because it is a hobby, even though only a small portion of the capital we use for trading or investing
Also it is fair to wonder if it makes sense at all to open a business right now, after all the pandemic is not over and there are places still with many restrictions and you could get ruined before you see any kind of profits, with this in mind it is better to remain invested in bitcoin for as long as possible and not use it unless it is completely necessary as we do not know how long this situation is going to last especially if the virus keeps mutating.

I wouldnt set up a business in this current climate either, very unpredictable
economic climate with the pandemic and what the aftermath will bring.

After this bull run I will almost certainly quit my job. I would like to persue some
hobbies and have time to dedicate to them. It might be nice to have a part time
job during the winter also?

If I am financially stable I dont see the point in working the 9-5. I will never give
up Bitcoining though!

I appreciate your decision not to quit your job, because indeed not a few people decide to keep working even though they are already rich.
Maybe someone like you is used to the routine of life like that and will feel strange if not working, but I am a typical person who wants to live
freely if I succeed in becoming rich. I want to live without having to work 9-5 again, I'm tired of being ordered by other people. If I manage
to get a large profit from crypto, I want to start my own business.

I don't have any work and I would probably not work if this current bullrun becomes profitable than I and many could've expected. But let's put it in hypothetical terms for me, if my job pays better and isn't a toxic one then probably quitting isn't the best option but if it is the other then I would definitely quit.
That's right, if the job is good, well-paying, and non-toxic, no one will quit. But investing in Bitcoin is like a race where you will lose a lot of strength. The market is plunging. Maybe I will give up in this race.

Crypto market is totally unpredictable but the fact that you are making profits even from its high volatility market, then it's not enough reason to give up. Or from your well paid job that offers you a stable income.

If we think of it, it will be more profitable if we can have them both. Crypto might face its dump season sometime and so this is the reason that you need to have your own stable job so that when the market turns like this, you still have other source of income that will sustain your needs.

Well it depends on the amount I'll get after bull run, although I am thinking and considering it, and concentrate on bitcoin instead but we all know that bitcoin is unpredictable it's high today and tomorrow is low, it's like see saw up and down, same thing like yo-yo there is no definite assurance that you would be making it great.

Why should I quit, I am thinking that just because the markets corrected or have we not seen such previously too ike 2017 it took 3 years to regain that 2017 high and after that we have seen the boom till 60k . Isn't that we continue to hold stocks too for longer term and why not hold the crypto and make the returns work for us. I would continue and do not find much reason to quit.

Every Market moves with bullish and bearish trend. It is the user who takes forward the decision whether to consider cryptocurrencies as a part of an income. As in the quote diversified form of investment is always a good choice. Along with the same, we can easily compensate profitability which is the better thing. So, very few will think of quitting with the lack of knowledge.

There are a lot of people change their career just to join into the world of cryptocurrency and I think its better if we just take too much focus on the crypto because again not all the time we meet the bullish market and somethings we cannot ride onto market volatility. Still, it's better to make a stable job and just use the cryptocurrency as a sideline. Right now I'm taking a freelance and still it's good to make an additional job into crypto but again if we join into cryptocurrency we must willing to risk what we have. Cryptocurrency is gambling too.

If you have a lot of coins that is a possibility but at the same time maybe it is not the best idea because as we know due to the economy being on a bad shape having a job is almost a privilege, it is better to wait a little bit more and only leave your job when you have enough bitcoin to sustain you for the rest of your life even if the price went down even more than the price we have right now, if you did that then you will not run any risk of finding yourself in your old age without any bitcoin and out of a job.

Being an entrepreneur is everyone's dream, when someone got skills related to market analyzing and promoting then I see himself to be a successful one in the future. But for an average joe who made few thousand should not quit their job, they should try to continue their job along with the investment career so one day they also can reach such status to quit their job and built their own dream life.

Whether it is a bear market or a bull market, there are actually two aspects. When you are in a bull market, you often regret not buying more coins before the bull market. When you are in a bear market, you will regret not selling your currency when you entered the bull market. Therefore, whether it is a bear market or a bull market, we should treat it rationally. Don't let the market affect your life. When you think it is a bear market, you can choose to cover up positions on dips and open positions in batches, or when you feel that the bull is still there, you can consider lightening up positions in batches and clearing them appropriately. I will not say whether the current market is a bear market or a bull market, because I do not want you to be affected by external factors.

There's no reason for me to quit on crypto, bullrun or not the profit is going to provide us more opportunities to embrace success. Though struggles come to a point that we're going to give up but our goals made us stronger to face every shortcomings.
Bear market is one reason that every trader keep the mindset of positiveness, despite of fud and fomo. Even if there's more barnacles that tries to changes our way of thinking, but we have an options to choose what's best for us on our finances.

Yes, if you will quit after this, I don't think you will be happy for yourself. Once the market starts picking up, you will regret if you stay away from this market. This is always a part of the market movement, you can't expect the line to be always on the positive side. If you happen to catch the bear season, why not accumulate promising coins because once the market goes green, you will be getting your profits. That is, if you can select those valuable coins. That's why better stick to coins that have strong use case and active developments.

Obviously if you can cash out tens of millions of USD from your cryptocurrency holdings, then you can quit. But in my case, I am not as lucky as Aziz McMahon. Leave millions aside, my total cryptocurrency holdings doesn't even amount to $100,000. Here in India, the living expenses are low, but what I have right now is not enough to make up for the salary from the full time job. So unless the prices further increase by another 10x, it is not possible to quit the full time job. And I guess 99.9% of the users here are like me. How many of you have >$1 million worth of holdings in cryptocurrency?

What's there to quit for? Bear market is the best I believe 😌 this is the moment to do the real investing, buy popular coins like vechain cardano and others for better price and wait, I'd wait for 80% loss just like in 2018 and build another portfolio for 2025 🤷🏽‍♂️

I honestly feel like it rejuvenated the way I invest, I am quite happy about this because it allowed me to closely check it from the inside and that matters a lot to me. The reality is that I wasn't really fully aware of bitcoin and what it can do before the 2014 pump, I was checking it, I was here from 2013 and forward but I wasn't fully in, I was just having fun.

During the 2017 I was fully in, I was fully in since 2016, but when I saw the price reaching 3k I sold all my coins, which was a good day for me, had the best summer of my entire life, went to other nations as vacation, rented a whole mansion like place for a month, I was living like one of those super wealthy people and spent it all because I assumed I would keep making money like that, and didn't end up making that type of money. Now this time, I was in and I made the money and I didn't get out, I am fully long term invested and will not sell until I can retire, it really showed me how easy it can be in a decade or two.

If the situation permits and we get to be millionaires through bitcoin then why not have some enjoyment and fulfill our dream of not working but nothing to worry about financially?  Tongue
Honestly, there's no need to quit. While you earn millions and you have a continuous profit, why you have to quit if you can enjoy while you earn.

If the whales have an effect on the market they will not be able to survive for very long and the bull run will come again. This is the right time to hold on to the stupidity of giving up bitcoin is a very good currency and it is easy to make a profit if you hold this currency for a long time.

Good for you that you have other streams of income that makes you much less susceptible to panic selling since you can't worry too much if the prices go down since you have other means to make money. I plan to do the same but I think that I will have to make sure that I put the right amount of money so it's not going to go under.

If we have that kind of mentality, then we will surely survive and in the end, we will rejoice with the big profit that we will enjoy. x10 or x100 profit from our investment is still possible, lots of experts prediction telling that bitcoin could reach $100k or even $1 million each, so why give up even if the price is in correction now.

I do not give up, I believe in investing in bitcoin, going through many difficulties, there are many bad news that greatly affect the bitcoin market plummeting but bitcoin can still recover past the 40k $ mark, after this rally I  confident bitcoin will grow more and more and more countries accept bitcoin and my investment will get high return in future.

I wouldn't quit my day job just yet to become a full-time cryptocurrency trader unless I'm making 10k bucks daily. For now, there's a lot of perks my day job offers me which cryptocurrency doesn't and vice versa.

Instead, here's what I do. I split my time between them. I do my 9-5 job and then 7-11pm for crypto, that way, i am able to keep up with my day job and crypto, and not loose out on both.

What is the need to quit? If there is an asset which looks more promising than Bitcoin, then it makes sense to sell our coins and purchase that asset. But I don't see such an option available in the near future. For me, Bitcoin is still the best investment option available to ordinary people. But that doesn't mean that we need to hold all of our coins. Profit booking at regular intervals is also part of a successful investment strategy. I know people who say they will never sell any of their coins, but I can't agree with them.

Since I mine more than trade to buy and hold I will quit as I get older.

I am 64 in pretty good shape and like doing this.

But down the road at 70 or so I do not think the gear management will be fun.

As for this bull move I do not know when it will end.

It has stayed bullish for mining (if you are not in china)

So I am expanding a bit.

Now I just don’t need to work as parents provide for me. But I am going to connect my work with blockchains and the crypto market. I would like to become a dev or an auditor. But also I will continue investing in different projects and currencies, as I believe that long-term investing in Bitcoin and other fundamental currencies will give me a big profit in the future.

Sometimes we hear about this Life-Changing Wealth and if for any reason or luck I make that kind of money through cryptocurrency investments, thinking about it now, of cause I would quit my job. I think it is the best thing to do at that point since I can now establish my own and become an employer too and leave that spot for someone else to fill and definitely reinvesting some good amount of that back in crypto.

snip
quit when already making big profits from cryptocurrency, looks clear like a newbie's habit.  they announced this for sure with the aim of destroying the crypto market, wanting to create a domino effect for other crypto investors to follow.  i will stay loyal to crypto even though i make a lot of money from it.

Apparently, he had large sums in circulation. They are the ones who can bring big profits, which will be enough to switch to a light business with little risk. Unfortunately, most of us do not own such large amounts, therefore, our profit is much smaller. And this means that while we are in cryptocurrency and try to catch and realize that almost the only chance in our life that will allow us to have financial independence.

I was caught during the bull run and now im in a loss. Most of the coins I invested was way below the price I invested in. Mostly all of them needs a 200% price increase for me to break even. However, even though im in a loss, I don't see myself quitting in this market. As a teenager, the recent bull run will be my guide for my future trading.
