Sold all alts a few weeks back and will switch back into btc when the price is right.

Since you have the patience and expecting the price to go down in the coming year, you can wait until you take your position in the market. I am not sure how low the valuation would go when the bear market starts but you are yet to see the major correction you are expecting and if you are smart enough you can make the money during these range bound market trend as well, but some wait for the correction to settle down before entering again.

I highly doubt that bitcoin will go down to around 12k again as many people are adopting it as of recent the lowest we can go may be around 20-30k before bouncing back again.This dip is also a good chance for people to acquire btc as price is low now before the bull market sets in again.

no one knows where the market is going. but we can analyze and place orders, so that we can make a profit if the market goes up, and if the market continues its downtrend, then we can cut losses and wait for the next support to buy.

$12k-15k$ is a reasonable number for Bitcoin's buy zone in a long-term downtrend. We've seen Bitcoin consistently hit $10k in the past, which is the best support I can think of. If Bitcoin price breaks through this level, the price could drop even lower.
Right now I don't think Bitcoin can enter a bear market yet. The recent price drop is just a necessary correction.

- I just wanted to warn you that we've got too much confidence in stories that can't happen here but from one event to the next, the myth always seems to be broken, when we feel we are out of the bear market and there will not be another bad price, another loop will be triggered, price will react with other bad stories. I was amazed by the level of your reasoning, not even this year, you are still talking about next year at the rate of $12k. I will advise you to buy whatsoever you want to get now and forget about any further dump. We are looking forward to more than $70k this year, don't miss any opportunity.

I did a quick glance into the drop that happened in 2017 and what might happen this year 2021.
In 2017, there is a 70% drop from near 20k to around 6k. If you will plot it to the recent ATH and if it will duplicate it, we are seeing a price drop to up to the near $20,000 level. Aside from the $30,000 price support right now, $20,000 is what I'm seeing as a next strong support. $12,000? I don't want to say that it is impossible but it is less likely to happen.

There are 2 signs that we are in a bear market.
1. If we broke the strong support which is right now the $30,000.
2. If it manages to reach the 34 and the 21 weekly EMA and it failed to push through then that is also a sign.

The similar mindset that would help you out could be the fact that the previous low before 2017 was around 1.4k to 1.7k levels (those days one place to other changed so much and arbitrage wasn't big yet) so when it went to 20k and didn't drop under 3k ever again, that was basically proof that the previous ATH was broken and we never got back to that. By the same logic we could say that the previous ATH was around 20k and we will not go under 20k again, so my path and yours all came to same destination, which is over 20 thousand dollars.

I believe that could be true, obviously I can't guarantee anything like that, it may go under 20k as well, who knows? But from what it looks like right now, 20k+ could very well be the bottom, and I would be very happy with that, as long as we can stay there, I can wait and I won't sell and even if I have to wait years I will wait for it to go back up.

Ideal would be around 12k, within a year from now. Do you think its possible or am i setting the bar too low to fast?
Is this just a half time dip in the cycle and we'll see another ath this year?


I'm bearish by nature and I have patience so I'm not rushing to buy right now, but I'm interested in what your views are.

when many people predict Bitcoin will be more valuable in the future but you predict the opposite, this is completely unexpected, even the prediction you make drops to $ 12k, it doesn't make sense.  if you want to reinvest in Bitcoin you should do it from now on, then in the future you will feel the benefits.  do not wait for the market price to move to plunge to 12k because it is very unlikely that this will happen even if no one knows future market price movements.

From the little experience am having and from the research have done I believe bitcoin is still going to dump more before the rise am expecting bitcoin to dump to around $25-$28k before the bulk run happens but if you are trading currently I believe you should always trade with caution and always learn to apply stop lose and always manage you risk currently because am still expecting more dip from bitcoin which will definitely affect other altcoins.

I will buy more bitcoin too but at this time I will increase the number of capital that I invest in cryptocurrency. Since there are some altcoins that attracts my attention so I need more capital that allocated to those altcoins. I still give extra attention to the price chart, if bitcoin price reach 30k  I will start to buy bitcoin. I really like to use lump sum strategy but at this time I will use DCA.

We could very well be entering the bear market this month. And in my opinion this has been long overdue considering how long bitcoin held up in its price despite the constant backlash and bad blood in its name. Still, in regards to your answer on how long this will last, or how low bitcoin could go next year, we don't have a definite answer. Most of the time bitcoin stays at the bottom for a 4-6 years and then rises up hundreds of times bigger in value than the last ATH, so you can expect next ATH to be much more massive than the one we had this year.

Right now it is difficult to know what it is going to happen, the price reduction was significant and this could lead us to believe that the price is probably not going to recover but if you see some of the previous bull runs that we have experimented over the years you will see that a crash like the one we saw is not really that uncommon and then the price eventually recovered and the bull run continued despite the crash so that scenario may happen again.

I think bitcoin will recover soon, it's just because of overbought that occur in the previous months. The hype that Elon Musk given to pump the market to break the all-time highs then today the Tesla not able to accept BTC anymore due to environmental concern. I think $30k is still good, we're not yet going to bear market and I think it will pump one last time and get back to $50k soon. A lot of institutions enjoy the dip, I'm sure they already brought the dip. MicroStrategy already announce that they already add some BTC assets and Justin Sun also purchase $150 Million worth of BTC. Selling will stop soon so we should prepare and enjoy the dip.

I agree with the fact that it was definitely overbought and there was a useless hype that didn't helped at all and that is one of the biggest reasons why we "dropped". I mean we are literally over 8x higher than what we were last year on march so if we are looking at from low to high we did had a great year, the only problem is that we had a mishap on the along the way.

For example, if I remember correctly the year 2019 started at around 3.5k and ended at 7k but people were upset, why? Because we reached around 14k during the year I can remember that. Same but a huge version here as well, we started even this year under 30k and we are doing fine yet when you look at what is going on people act as if we are done and bitcoin is done and I do not think that's true, we can handle even this price as long as it stays and doesn't drop too much.

The lowest price for bitcoin to dump is i think $20k and after that, we can expect higher ATH compared this year. So never miss another moment wherein you can fill your bags with altcoins and bitcoin. Today's price is already a good catch and if you have the funds already, do not wait for another dump as we know exactly how volatile the market is and the current price might suddenly rise up and won't drop anymore. But for sure, bitcoin price has all the chance to recover no matter how deep it has fallen and that's what good about bitcoin.

I am not sure about that. If you called this situation a bear market, you could be wrong because the bitcoin price is still higher than last year, even for the last ATH a few years ago. I still believe that we are still in the bull run phase, but with a deep correction, the price can rise again. We can see another increase in the price in the next month, but if the price still goes down to the lower price, we need to be patient.

This time can be a good time for the investor to buy bitcoin because the price is down again, and I guess some of them already bought bitcoin at $33k.

bear market is just a term, for me, how can we make money in all conditions. therefore I prefer to trade short-term, even though the market is down, but I keep looking for buying areas and take advantage of bounce moments, so that I can still make money
