I'm noticing that my Block Sync Progress is stuck at 99.85%

Has anyone else experienced this? my 500gb has 7.92% remaining

Noticed my sync lagging behind a few blocks a few times the previous week (never seen this behaviour before) but it always catches up. No idea why it started happening out of the blue

Yeah i think it was my router port fowarding to the wrong device, i dont know why it does that i have to keep fixing it for some reason

its has more connections now - i'll wait and see if it'll catch up today if not I think Im just going to reflash the SD card since I have to do it anyways, thanks for sharing

Can anyone add any insight here. I opened port 8333 on my linksys velop router and my apollo is connected to a switch. Right now it's still showing 10/32 connections. Will this increase after sync?

I'm synchronising blockchain due to replacement of SSD (to 1TB, hurray . Connection count is about 23-28/32 during sync. I think that some of peers are dropping connection seeing my node is not synchronised.

About 10/32 is always when node has no inbound connections. Even fully synced.

I'm not that deep into BTC nodes setup, but from experience with another coin and its blockchain, in case no inbound connections are allowed, daemon keeps very few outbound connections and does not increase it to limits as it seems to be sufficient to operate. But in case node is exposed to the Internet number of connections is very high mainly as inbound (reaching my limits for node).

That is actually very helpful thank you. I download the package - use native package installer. On Status it says "error: wrong architecture 'i386' -- Run dpkg --add-architecture to add it and update afterwards"

I get various "add architecture issues no matter what build type I try to download. I have searched online for help videos and articles with minimal success. Furthest I have gotten in command prompt to try to add these is my access is denied. Is there some way to run script as an admin and add the architecture? Hopefully this makes sense....

You should try a VPN into your home network. This is what I do for all my devices. Most mid to higher end routers have this feature. If you don’t know about it: A VPN connection to your network is just like being on the network from wherever you are. Once connected, open any browser and type the local IP of the miner or any other local computer just as if you do at home. ASUS routers for example have a free dynamic dns for VPN that’s easy to set up. Google your router model and VPN and I’m sure there’s plenty of info to set up. Edit: you’ll also have to google how to set it up on whatever device you’ll VPN with such as your phone or computer.

So my NODE has completely syned as of a few hours ago.  I use a LEDGER NANO X for my other items.  In the LEDGER LIVE app, under setting experimental, there is a section for me to connect to my node.  To make the connection, these are the things needed: node's RPC credentials, IP address, and port number.  What is the credentials?  Is the IP Address our public IP or local network IP at router?  Port number is 8333?

Please let me know if you have completed this and if you can assist me.

Awesome! I'll give it some time to finish syncing. I have a feeling if Im hovering at 10 it'll be find once it's done. The port is open specific for the device according to my linksys velop system. I hope I don't have to do anything with the modem. When I originally set up the mesh system, I had to disable the built in wifi that was on the modem.

Do you think there is anything else I need to do in there?

Ha ha ha, thanks for ASKING. PROBLEM is that I am learning like you.  I would suggest that a wired connection.   That is what I have.

As of now, with an uptime of 1 hrs, I have 22 connections. Hopefully it grows.  I also got myself a external USB fan to put under my Apollo.  I am keeping the Temps at 46-56 Celsius on Turbo mode.

Yea your node will only show inbound connections while its syncing, once it has complete then it can participate in the rest of the network and connect to other outbound nodes. Your node will build up connections up to the maximum over time as it discovers more peers on the network, but that can take some time.

Dr. J!!!...my man...how are you bud...cranking out more apollo's I hope... ...I see quite a few posts of recent and well that is a good thing...more clients mean more users means more nodes and miners for the network...hey guys keep up the great work and continue to support Dr. J...aka: Jstefanop ....and the futurebit crew and staff for they are doing amazing work indeed for a long way they have come I remember when I got my first moonlander from them... ...by the way Dr. J any news on if you and the crew are going to resume production of the "LTC apollo pod asic miner"...perhaps a new upgraded version...definetly can sign me up for one of those when you do... ...let us know for it would be cool...oh by the way for the apollo btc users as to the node and connections I can say that I have been able to keep 31 connections consistently out of the 32 that is with the caveat though that I am connected via ethernet to modem/router with a 1 GB fiber line...finally got a question for you Dr. J and the crew/staff...as to heat...I am wondering if you have some chart or numbers as to what should be normal temp ranges for the miners under the different miner settings and what temp number is too hot or dangerous...would be helpful so that I can stay on top of it and make sure no overheating is taking place on the babies...and by the way, that miner that was giving me errors if you remember...well it seems to settle down when running warm like in the 63 to 64 Fahrenheit range... ...so you tell me weird uh...lol...well boss that is about it for now...please take care and my regards to the crew...let me know when you have a chance about those temperature numbers would you please...and to the rest of the Apollo BTC fans and followers keep up the great work and the support you have shown and continue to show for Futurebit...great things will continue to come from them...til next time...a loyal fan...Termpestblack...

1. What is a good operating temperature for the Apollo BTC?

2. Hardware Errors, what causes this and how to fix? Also what is rejected (does that mean a block was rejected)?

3.  How do we increase our NODE Connections? Or is this something that will increase over time?

4. How do we know that our miner is connected to our NODE?

5. How do we see our NODE outside of network, that is when someone is trying to connect to it. 

6. I am wanting to connect my NODE of LEDGER LIVE. Has anyone completed this and can you help me out?

7. Can we run more than one node at a time on the Apollo, such as a Bitcoin Coin and Lightning node? Or does one of the nodes have to be shut off?

I am sure that I will have more questions later as time goes on.

I'm fully synced and when I tried to turn on the miners and change the power to balanced the 2 standards are fine but the Full shows that the hashboard is inactive. Is that normal?

I'm having the same problem no its not normal if you shut down your node and reboot it will fix it for awhile then fails again. see my reply

One last thing. As I'm fully synced it's still showing 10/32 connections and saying that i have to open port 8333. It's open as I've tested it for the apollo ip "(succeeded) then I tested it for one of my computers IP's and it says it failed which is fine. I'm assuming it just takes time to connect to other nodes but I just want to make sure there is nothing else I need to do.

1) is there an optimum method to stacking the units?  I have 3 now and they are eating up valuable desk space in my office

2) also has anyone put a rough guide out for optimum OC settings I get about 9-9.3THs @ 616w on Turbo

Seemingly have fixed mine here is what i did:

stop the node

$ cd /opt/apolloapi/backend/apollo-miner

$ ls (will show files below)
apollo-miner.27002A001850324E31323320  apollo-miner.4B001D001650324E31323320
apollo-miner.4A003C0008504E3943303320  apollo-miner.4C0042001650324E31323320

$ mkdir bckup

$ mv apollo-miner.* bckup/

Start mining and node again

now when you 'ls /opt/apolloapi/backend/apollo-miner' it only shows 3 of these files apollo-miner.4A003C0008504E3943303320 is the one that didn't reappear.

Here is what i'm noticing with node connections. I'll be at 10/32 for hours then it'll randomly go to 11/32 then back to 10/32. Does anyone have any recommendations on this or is it a patience game?
