Eth has larger volume than btc and it slowly but stealiy overtake Bitcoin in the near future
Eth is proof of stake when btc is proof of work. It’s power usage is umccessary and we don’t need Bitcoin In the space. When they flip Bitcoin will not be big anymore and people won’t talk about it on the mews anymore. They will talk more on ethereum and other crypto and Bitcoin will be forgotten.

Think about the news titles Ethereum, is the biggest coin in the world right now.  Who the hell will want to invest in Bitcoin then? The only reason many people invest now in BTC because is the first coin is the biggest in marketcap. But when they flip people won't talk too much on Bitcoin and dump it for Ethereum.

What’s the reason for anyone to hold Bitcoin? It’s slow and bad for environment proof of stake coin.

it will not be a store of value anymore when they flip. This will shock the world and people would prefer to spend on technology rather on Bitcoin.

It’s power usage is umccessary [...]
Since when "power usage" becomes a standard to evaluate a coin? When Elon Musk shit posted about it? I've seen some similar arguments saying that Doge will flip bitcoin. How funny it is. Having better volume just means that money is being poured into Ethereum. Remember a few weeks ago when Doge peaked, its volume was larger than any other coin. It's the fact that bitcoin is the king of all coins and no coin will ever flip bitcoin.

What’s the reason for anyone to hold Bitcoin? It’s slow and bad for environment proof of stake coin.

We flash back that before the emergence of other cryptos, did they say that Bitcoin had a bad impact on the environment at that time? don't be because Ethereum is at its peak, and generalize the position that your opinion is built to lift Ethereum. It goes without saying that in the future Bitcoin is no longer friendly and slow.

Think about how helpful Ethereum existed when we begged for almost a year to bring GAS costs down? Don't forget that, because we are all under the same pressure.

We are thinking of the millions of unreached users who have only held the ERC20 coin for months. is it not mentally draining?

Lol keep FUDing about that. You know nothing about that lol. I remember when vitalik was forking bitcoin code and make a small change on it to introduce the smartcontract system.
Bitcoin has limited supply while did you think ethereum already fully migrated to the POS? It's not even a POS coin right now.
POW and POS will always power usage.

it slowly but stealiy overtake Bitcoin in the near future
Hey, I have a question to make:  Why should Ethereum overtake Bitcoin? Why can't they co-exist since they both satisfy different needs? The bold part is the funniest one.

Eth is proof of stake when btc is proof of work. It’s power usage is umccessary and we don’t need Bitcoin In the space.
I surely don't need Bitcoin in *the* space. It works properly in our planet and it's designed to be used only by humans.

As for PoS:  It has it downsides as well. In my opinion, that mechanism has more downsides than PoW.

What’s the reason for anyone to hold Bitcoin?
Because it's useful. And permissionless. And private. And censorship-resistant. And useful.

It’s slow and bad for environment proof of stake coin.
Instead of critisising Bitcoin for it's “slowness”, why don't you tell us how fast is Ethereum? The majority of the total hashes is being generated from renewable energy sources, FYI. As for the “proof of stake coin”, it possibly eluded from you, because Bitcoin isn't PoS.  Kiss

this is also what raoul pal said of real vision. but i think the guy just learned eth being a platform where assets can be created. he compared ths project to being web2 where companies will soon be tokenized and eth having a usecase will make its demand high. while its true. do not leave BTC out of your portfolio, its more decentralize than any project with CEO.

Eth has larger volume than btc
Your very first words were already wrong. If you take into account and check how much the volume of bitcoin, as of now as per coinmarketcap.com
Bitcoin's 24 hr volume = $48.7B
Ethereum's 24 hr volume = $38.1B
In that comparison, what you're trying to say isn't the fact. Bitcoin still has the larger volume between the two.

it’s not a store of value anymore. Bitcoin will fail to get bigger in the near future

If you can tell me how near this future is when eth will flip btc, I will consider putting everything into eth even though I dislike the high transaction fee issue,
You may have reasonable argument here to counter btc as a store of value but one thing you don't seem to realise is btc had huge support from big institutions unlike eth, btc is more accepted more than eth ( but that could change overtime) for now btc still rein supreme,  and that will take a long time if ever to change.

Don't be dump. Every  smart investor  tell and see Ethereum flips Bitcoin. All the indicators point to it especially when ETH run smart contract and ETH 2.0 is coming and it moves from poof of work to proof of stake. BTC has no change to stay 1st.
Volume is much higher right now. is just a matter of time until they flip.
When it does happen BTC will not be so store of value anymoe. And the spotlight will moves to Ethereum.

Sorry but every year I hear the same thing when everything is bullish.  As soon as the bear comes guess what, everyone will dump every alt back into bitcoin like usual.  Who's to say there aren't plenty of coins that will be taking out eth...

Actually I really want to ignore it because it is boring with topics like this that always exist when there is a good coin compared to bitcoin will even replace it, and in fact until now and whenever it does not exist.
and indeed nothing can replace his position as the king of crypto and even though they temporarily leave bitcoin but will come back again when the price of bitcoin starts to rise, and this is a boring thing bitcoin is always compared to other coins. Cheesy

BTC has no change to stay 1st.
Should it have a change to stay first? Do you think that changes and updates will make a cryptocurrency worth more? The fact that Bitcoin doesn't make changes often is an example of preserved consensus. You seem to be judging Bitcoin only by its technology, but it's more than just that. There may be cryptos better than Bitcoin technologically, but the market behavior is what matters after all.

When it does happen BTC will not be so store of value anymoe. And the spotlight will moves to Ethereum.
Dream on.

A lot of people in here already an expert. Shill Ethereum is good actually but must with good reason too. For me, bitcoin could be replaced will be in very small percentage of possibility. Or maybe if blockchain broken and bitcoin can't be used anymore. If bitcoin still normal, i don't think altcoins will easily to replace it with every reasons.

We are entitled to our opinion, but I really don't see ethereum overtaking bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency market and it would be extremely difficult for ethereum to take that space. I wish to see the value of ethereum increase substantially, so with every other altcoin. Ethereum at its best is an altcoin and Bitcoin is the leader.

ETH doesn't have a bigger volume than bitcoin, close but not bigger. However what you are forgetting is that the volume ETH has comes from the smaller things that are attached to ETH, all those tokens based on erc20 is the reason why ETH has such a huge volume, it is not purely eth which means it doesn't change the price that much. However bitcoin on the other hand is the only reason it has that volume, all of the volume is based on bitcoin itself and nothing else, which is why it impacts the price a lot more.

This is why I do not think that eth could ever flip it, and even if it does flip it that won't be anytime soon and that is why I am not worried about it at all. I am however still investing into both of them, I like them both, just because I do not think about the flip doesn't mean that I do not like ethereum, I still like it very much.

If that is your criteria for thinking Ethereum would flip Bitcoin, then you might as well think many other altcoins like Chia Network would flip Ethereum. There are many point to consider before a flipping happens

Ethereum will always be the best altcoin perfectly paired with bitcoin which is definitely the king of all crypto. I think these two should never be compared since they both have high potentials but have different uses in life. But they come as a perfect pair for investment.

I think OP has still few knowledge in crypto. If you can stay in crypto market for years, you will know why bitcoin isn't comparable with ethereum. And up to this date, no other crypto can replace bitcoin's position.

Only time will tell, I’m fan of the coins no matter what they achieved is favourable to their holders. These coins are both kings they are not rivals in function. The Ethereum’s recognition this time is very much awaited not to mention the excitement of institutional investors growing interest.
