Hello,

I would need some feedback on Bitmain S17 Pro 53Th 😉

I am offered five S17 Pro 53Th, the seller tells me that there are no problems currently.
They have been running for 14 months with the original software.

I can't find many reviews or feedback on these machines!
If a few people had feedback on these machines it would be great 😉

Thanks in advance

S17-Pro is probably the most reliable of the *17 range of miners from Bitmain.

Able to be speed adjusted depending on your requirements.

Mine @ pools that pay Tx fees & don't mine empty blocks :: kanopool :: ckpool ::
Should bitmain create LPM for all models?

Okay thanks for the clarification 😉

The above is correct, but it's worth mentioning that it's the most reliable because it's compared against other shit-gears, the S17 pro "as is", is really bad when compared to anything outside of the 17 series, I would avoid the 17 series gears altogether, the failure rate is so high and you will likely start facing issues in the not too distant future since the miner has been online for 14 months already.

If you can find Avalon or MicroBT even at a slightly higher price, go for it.

Okay thanks for your opinion and advice 😉

I didn't know that MicroBT and Canaan was better quality than Bitmain.
Thanks for the advice 😉

What price did they ask for the s17pro

5 @ 2000 usd each would be 10000 usd

5@ 4000 usd each would be 20000 usd

Me personally would take a shot at five for 10000 total

The s17pro 53th model was the best of all s17s

I have 17 of them since 2019

1 has 1 good board
2 have 2 good  boards
14 fully work

I burned 1 psu out.

So for me I think they were good.

The person offered me $8000 for five or $2000 for one.

I looked around a lot and it's easier to find Bitmain than MicroBT or Avalon.

At least I have a hard time finding anything other than Bitmain.

Thanks for your feedback 😉

I WOULD BUY THAT.

Making the assumption that he will send them to me intact.

So be sure they work and you are going to get them.

Maybe an escrow or something.

Ok thanks for your opinion.
Yes I will see that, the person wants to be paid in cryptocurrency.

Would you have a website or app to recommend to me for escrow payment?
I am not familiar with this payment principle at all.

Where did he say he was located? he is most likely trying to scam you, these prices are way too low, the lowest this gear went to was about 3k when btc fell to 31k before the difficulty adjustment ( which was the cheapest time to buy a mining gear for weeks), today, it's priced at about 3.3-3.5k, these are China prices which are in theory are the cheapest.

When someone offers you a 3k gear for 1.8k you should be extra careful, there are a few legit sellers in this forum such as grace, Scott, and kaboomrack, even if you don't buy from those guys at least check their prices against the other buyers if the price is way too cheap - you should probably avoid it, there are probably 10 scammers for every single legit mining gear seller, keep that in mind.

Hello,

Indeed I try to be as careful as possible, I think this person was good, he had the invoices and I had the opportunity to test the equipment before.
I was waiting for the payment of several S9 to buy his units, unfortunately he sold all 5 units in no time!
Ah my opinion it was a good deal.
I will look at the prices that the buyers you recommended are offering.

Thanks
Mickael
