JayJuanGee I think at some point in time I feel the need to educate some set of people who tend to create or support the stereotype and miss guide wrong usage of words such as crypto when referring to bitcoin, this mistaken notion has been on a while and I feel the need to at this point set the record straight and trying to educate and enlighten those forks who overly use that term when engaging in bitcoin-related discussions, a statement like,. Yes El Salvador first focused on Bitcoin and they are still moving in that direction. They have taken various initiatives to popularize Bitcoin more seriously and thoroughly. We saw that they had previously tried to teach Bitcoin to students in their country, and now they have already succeeded in that effort. Because those students in their country are already graduating about Bitcoin, they are becoming more experienced. Maybe their important work will inspire students in many countries to learn about Bitcoin.

Exactly this brought me here but you post this before me. I do not like how this is. IMF use a loan to let El Salvador do what they want. Although, not all what they want. Because what they wanted was for El Salvador to remove bitcoin as a legal tender and only continue to spend USD.

I think they can still buy and sell in bitcoin but it is no more mandatory. Was it mandatory before? Not yes precisely. If someone pays in bitcoin, the seller can receive it in fiat. El Salvador makes that possible and it is very fast like normal payment.

The financial challenges of El Salvador had been there before Bukele came into power. Overcoming these challenges will not happen overnight. El Salvador needs loans to finance its economic reforms and other financial obligations. The lender will always determine the conditions for loans, hence El Salvador has to concede to these anti+Bitcoin terms. With this move, the IMF has shown its destain for Bitcoin. However, the conditions for the loan don't include the halting of Bitcoin investment.
