Number one in the list is the etherium, as for me it is the best investment in altcoin for a long term, now that its value is going high. You can visit coinmarketcap for you to find the best investments in altcoins for a long term. Number one in the list is the etherium, as for me it is the best investment in altcoin for a long term, now that its value is going high. I have a little amount of etherium in my wallet and patiently waiting for me to gain profits from it.

The ranked tokens are usually the ones that perform well especially the ones with updates all the time with so many users shilling for it like ADA.
ETH is going to be the most reliable altcoin so far for holding more than 6 months. There are lots that are reliable but they are not rank high because of the low marketcap, they are the ones they call GEM because it has a low max supply and has a good team.

There are many good and potential projects in the future, and the point is that you have the patience to wait for it to increase and still hold to the goal you set.

For long investments, I always look at the top coins in the market to keep an eye on. Personally, I have also been buying BNB for almost 2 years and now I am still happy to have held it since early.

You should go to the trusted project dude.
Try to pick some good old coins like ADA, Matic, BNB, or pick some from below top 50 CMC as there are lots of potetial owned by this coin to go to the same like the top coins.
I guess it's quite difficult to pick the best coins as the top coins have utility usages. Try to pick some from major combined with the top 50 coin would be a good choice

ETH, BNB, SOL are good but in this current market condition everything is unpredictable and could drop hard anytime. So i think 6 months is not really long time enough to hold good crypto, good crypto coins sometimes need more than 2 years to make huge profits. Q3-Q4 time is crucial time in crypto price could be up really high and could drop really high. So be wise on your investation, make sure you only use money that you can afford to lose it anytime.

It would be good if you choose tokens from top 100 and then choose 10 tokens you think is in your standard. Then from the 10 choices just pick 3 or 5 tokens you think the best and much better to invest your money and will have big profit after 1 year holding. I guess we're at the end of the bull market or the beginning of the bear market, it is not a good idea to invest in coins at this time and keep them for six months or more, because the price of the currency will be much lower than now after half a year.
Of course, this is just my guess, and it's possible I am totally wrong.

I would take all of this information given to you with a very large grain of salt.  Just remember than many in here are going to tell you what they're favorite coins are, i.e. which coins they are invested in and want to go up in value.  In my humble opinion there aren't a lot of great altcoin projects that have a long term outlook of success but the altcoins I value the most are Ethereum, Monero, Litecoin and a few others.

You should buy Bitcoin or strong project coins. Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, ADA, Matic, Arpa, XRP and some more strong project. You should add some of these coins in your profolio, when you come after 6 months you will see your profolio will be full of profit.

if you need long term then you should check top coins which are strong and never can lose its value. I can suggest you some coins must research then invest, the first coin i will prefer you is matic. because its new famous and strong project, many  new investors are investing in it so it will must increase in future. Just search some top 100 project which fit on your vision, if you like Elon who ask for Environmental friendly project u can invest on PoS coins.
If you concern about Security or Privacy, you can choose on project which provide it to you. If you have same vision with the project, you can bear it longer to sell it on the great price.
