I see there are many campaigns paused in this week (Ok.fun, Spinarium, Betfury, Swgt, BK8), I count there are 76 users in these campaigns. This is an opportunity for new projects that want to run signature campaign or other campaigns that want to increase the number of promoters with high quality posters since they don't have to fight to increase the reward.

However, sad to see there are not much campaigns if we compare to the last year.

Well for me there's only 3 that might possibly happen. It's either continue to decrease, increase, or totally disappear. But disappearing is not likely because Bitcointalk signature campaigns have been here for two decades. And that 16 signature campaigns are only in the service board. I think there are some signature campaigns in the bounty board that are paying in altcoins. For example, most of Julerz managed and Stake's signature campaign that was moved to the bounty section.

Campaigns will come and go, this is temporary. All of a sudden we might see a burst of campaigns coming in like crazy. They will never disappear completely unless the forum shuts down or the admin decided to shut down campaigns.

Lets make sure to keep bitcointalk that way such that above never happens. We humans tend to focus too much on negatives at times, while things need time and patience to work out.

In the meantime make sure everyone earns merits and gets their ranks up to be able to join new campaigns as and when they come up.

It's hard to compare current period with the past ones when mixers were allowed to advertise and were a big % of all active campaigns.

I haven't done any research on that, but bull-market is not necessarily a best time for any crypto-related businesses, as people might be much more keen to hold on to their coins rather than to spend them in casinos, or any other businesses. Maybe with the exception of exchanges, but we don't have too many of them.

Campaigns are scarce for various reasons, but let's maintain the quality of the forum and try to be more active, not get discouraged!

Sometimes I enter on this forum and visit boards such as Development & Technical Discussion, I see low movement, sometimes staying idle for hours or a whole period, I miss more technical discussions related to Bitcoin and cryptography tools, when more busier the forum is, the better a favorable environment for more campaigns to appear, but we have to do everything within limits and respect the forum rules.

First, I wouldn't say that Covid-19 period was difficult when it comes to Bitcointalk. Most of wbsites that is advertised here is doing their business online, so, Covid times weren't bad for them at all.
If mixers wouldn't be banned here, probably nobody wouldn't even noticed decline of campaigns. Asside from gambling websites, mixers were significant part of campaigns.
Also, one of long time campaigns Bestchange endedd not so long time ago, nothing new didn'tappeared, but I think it's only matter of time. But there is some bad trends like dropping Bitcoinalk traffic or more regulations on Bitcointalk like ban of mixers that affects number of new campaigns.

I prefer quality over numbers of signature campaign. There is no need to have campaigns that run for a couple of weeks before shutting down like it was just a publicity spot. Serious campaigns have to last as long as possible to recruit new people every time. Honestly, I tend to trust services with signature campaigns more than unknown ones in the net. The service that shut down its campaign makes me afraid of a possible exit.
For these people who got "jobless", they can try to join Stake in bounties since it is open but they will have to accept payments with USDT rather than Bitcoin..

I agree, things have to be thought of in the long term, although it is difficult to know whether a given campaign will last a few weeks or for a long time. Campaigns that last well are the consequence of the movement of the forum, which needs to continue.

Look on the bright side, these people will get to explore parts of the forum that were originally unknown to them and be able to gather some merits in the meantime enough to be able to pitch themselves in the next campaign. Hence this time period should be properly utilized even if painful.

Take a closer look at who were the participants in this campaign, you will see that most of them are very experienced members with a lot of merit earned. So they don't need to research the forum or earn merit because they did it much earlier.

The graph covers 2 years, since July 2022.

In 2022 the number of posts was actually much higher, compared to what we had in 2023 and what we have in 2024. Between 2022 and 2024 the number of posts has been decreasing by almost half. This is a very rough analysis, of course.

Therefore, I think it is not related to either the campaigns or the release of the forum mixes. It may have helped, but it won't be the main point.

In order to make other members to increase their activity is having more signature campaign.

Banning of mixers didn't really affect the forum, because we can still discuss about mixers and mention the sites (without posting the URL link). The forum only ban people who promote specific mixers.

Let's say there were 10 mixer campaigns and pays for $150 per week, but if there are 10 new campaigns comes up and pays at the same rate, the traffic will not go down because users who promote mixers will switch to other campaigns.

Mixer ban indeed affected the post count in the forum. It is foolish to think otherwise. We can discuss mixers but we can’t promote them which is how people can make money. No money = no incentive to post

It looks like the forum is on a constant decline. If more people lose interest in the forum, In a few years we might end up losing sig camps completely.
