I was just thinking there might be a shred of seriousness in that post but I guess everyone has a different sense of humour.
No biggie, my mistake really.

There are a couple of people here I trust so much that if they said they're about to go homeless I'd vouch for them and send them what I can.
I would also gravitate towards trusting certain Legendary members here with moderate amounts for money if they said it's for a good cause. So that's the thought process I was running with.

If OP said a couple people he knows here could be saved from homelessness for now with a small donation it might have been worth it to give them a chance.

OK, my turn, I remember Bit-X campaign that initially had no upper limits, and they would pay for any number of posts, as long as they were constructive. If I remember correctly, there was one guy (I'm 99% sure it was Muhammed Zakir who would make over 1 full bitcoin in one pay-out round, as his posting volume was insane (and surprisingly of a good quality). He disappeared in 2018, possibly just retired with a big pile of cash from signature campaigns.
Right now, it seems like a great offer, but back then, the fiat rate per post was not that great and many forum members (myself sadly included) were not very motivated by that and would only make a modest amount of posts each week.

Is this Bit-X signature campaign about casinos or other platforms? I'm curious about how the campaign was paid per post and there was no maximum number of posts.

It turns out that after researching this campaign, they have spent more than 300 BTC - wow, this is really amazing, but back then the price of BTC was still low, maybe under $1000 in 2016.

I hope people in this world think the way you do. I really appreciate what you wrote but keep in mind that many people just beg for the money without any need. Maybe their numbers among high ranks are lower but these ranks aren't always associated with the first creators since there are many sold accounts even in the legendary rank.

Nah, it was an exchange, and (if my memory serves me right) they also offered some crypto debit cards.
And yeah, it was possible because Bitcoin was dirt-cheap and the amount per post (in fiat) wasn't that high. Plus, it was an early stage and Bitcoin/crypto were pretty much unknown outside of the community, so it made sense for new businesses to go heavy on promotion on this forum, to build their position and work out an advantage over others.
It's crazy to think how big and profitable the top exchanges have become. I don't think many back then expected crypto to blow up that hard.

Yobit was a massive campaign of well over 500 active users at once and more than 500 banned users on top of that. It was almost a fulltime job checking reports from users and posts as I couldn't just ban them on someone's word without looking into it. As it wasn't a traditional campaign and literally anyone could enroll at anytime, so some days I could wake up and 50 new users joined.

Very interesting stuff. I don't remember this user, but damn, getting full Bitcoin in one patment round is very impressive, even if Bitcoin value was very little compared with what we have now. But what is even more impressive that user who was making such huge number of posts wasn't typical signature spammer.

Yeah, you're right. From what I remember it was quite popular debit card.

Yobit was a massive campaign of well over 500 active users at once and more than 500 banned users on top of that. I had no idea that there was so many participants. From what I can remember initial Yobit campaign which was later was managed by hilariousandco was also huge.
At one time Stake campaign was big, but IIRC they didn't had public spreadsheet.

@icopress and the other signature campaigns managers, I think you should consider locking systematically on hold campaigns and the closed ones. It is always interesting to see signature campaign expanding the number of participants and I like to see such news but I have always cautions that this might trigger campaigns owners to pause it after few weeks because the charge might exceed their budget.
I assume it was calculated by the owners and hopefully they will last for a long time.

I prefer to add "these days" to your statements after on record because in the past that number was nothing. I answered also by this the question about whether the forum members could fill all the spots. The answer is simply yes.

Thanks for mentioning me here, I was tempted to post there by that much slots. I should have made that post in here.

I did not knew the previous slots were 15 but the 140 slots that is too much in my opinion. Well let's see how much time the Hamphuz will take to pick those members, although I am not interested in joining a gambling campaign as I mentioned there due to my religion I can't but when I saw one and then two and then more and more gambling campaigns coming.

Gambling signature campaigns are now required to post at least 5/10 posts on the gambling board.

It's now difficult to find non-gambling campaigns because gambling has taken over this forum.

Like 10 years ago, there were more diversity in signature campaigns with "services", mixers and gambling campaigns. By services, I mean exchanges mostly.
Since 2017, other signature campaign appeared for short period just to announce their projects. Then mixers ban happened and basically gambling campaigns dominated the forum.
It is not the fault of the managers, not the fault of those who wants to announce their services.
You have to wait for rare non gambling campaigns to come or open a spot. The other option is to look outside the box.

As much as they want it, it's the market that brings them most of the gambling ones. If they can bring the non gambling ones, they'd do that. We see some but it seems that the gambling market is more and that's why it is what we're getting more. The clients are the ones deciding to do the promotion and if the non gambling ones doesn't see any value on campaigns and they'd do the other strategies, we can't do anything about that.

You could actually bring one here yourself instead of asking them too. I have seen members who were not campaign managers before manage a campaign and that's where their campaign management journey started from.

There is a lot of money in Gambling platforms so it's very understandable that there are so many such campaigns here.

They are no sensitice, mixers are banned, and instant exchanges and other services like this don't want to spend money hehe, and managers know they can easily hunt down gambling clients, I know a lot about client hunting as a freelancer, so I know it is hard for managers to hunt down non gambling projects, and speaking of posts that is not a problem for me, hehe I think I can write on any topic.

It is really difficult, and if some comes, I apply and due to less activity they don't pick me hehe, that hurts more hehe.

After news about Sportsbet leaving Bitcointalk, now I'm wondering what is the future of Gambling signature campaigns. When one of oldest and maybe one of the most profitable decide to exit grey markets, you understand that something isn't ok with regulations. Is it beginning of the end?

I was here back in 2017, and the best and popular campaign back then was the altcoin bounty campaign. One good project will give you a one-year reward for what the casinos are giving you.

But because the community is growing, and there were very few good projects coming, there were fewer campaigns coming, and airdrops have become the most popular way to promote projects.

The casinos have ruled the signature campaign here, which is not bad because they are stable; some campaigns last for many years, and it's still good to be incentivized while making a contribution to this forum.

I was there back in 2017 and way before it and I didn't lookedat altcoin bounty campaigns. Yes, I know that some people made good money from these campaigns, but I never joined it because of risks. Even if it's not scam, it's likely that in the end you will get paid with some worthless coins.
And in general, I always saw bounties as opportunity to earn for these people who can't get into Bitcoin paying campaign.

It is true that the regulation are becoming stricter regarding these types of activities in the web however I think that this issue is related to sportsbet and its mother company. More information will come later to explain the situation further so I will not jump to conclusion. Otherwise I think that this phenomenon is only limited to this company and there will not be a domino effect.
