Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks?

This is generally a misconception. But, well, it depends on how you interpret it. Basically, it presupposes that people are doing everything for money itself. I mean, they are willing to cheat for money, step on someone's toes for money, even kill for money. That's what we see everyday. Wealthy people are shirking tax responsibilities. Government officials, although already rich, are into corruption and plundering the nation's wealth. Law enforcers are accepting bribes. Companies are not paying staff and worker well. On the ground, ordinary people are also doing their own stealing and cheating for money.

But I personally don't think this is all about money itself. It is more about people than money. I mean, yeah, money could make you do whatever you want, but it's one thing to have lots of it and feel empty and another to have just enough and feel genuinely satisfied.

You are absolutely correct with all the points you mentioned, but I also think that it is all about money. Whether you "have lots of it and feel empty and another to have just enough and feel genuinely satisfied" is a different thing altogether. The main problem as you have said is, people will go the nine-yard to do anything for money. Family members, community friends are beginning to see others as failures if they don't have money. When you have everyone is your friend and once it's gone, even your closest will ditch you. The spark for everything is that money, whether you do good or evil with it or you are satisfied with what you have or not is also a different case in IMHO but, money will always be at the beginning of it all.

Money is not the root of all evil. Everyone thinks that it is the root of all evil because human dominance makes money the root of all evil.
Wouldn’t it be a bit simple to use money to judge people’s good and evil?
Everyone likes money, and no one dislikes money. It is because some people are too greedy to make wrong choices, and because greedy chooses to commit crimes to get money, but this is only a part of people. Not all people do things or thoughts that hurt others because of money.

Not money, but the root of all evil in the barbaric thinking of man. Money only increases a person's abilities, but the tendency to do bad things is entirely a matter of human psychological thinking. Too much money causes pride and arrogance in people and causes them to engage in various evil deeds. I personally think so. Money is the source of all evil, but the source of all evil itself does not necessarily have to be evil. As long as it is rational, it can distinguish right from wrong. There are some factors that make us lose ourselves in the face of money and forget our own nature. That is the magic of money.

What the phrase is trying to teach is that YOU DO NOT LOVE MONEY.. Money is an inanimate object. It is a lesson on seeing through the bullcrap that the state tries to brainwash you with.. Chasing money.... And after a while you forget what the money was for in the first place.

It just depends on everyone who uses it. when people treat money as a tool for evil yes it will be like that but when people hurt it as commonplace as is often the case, i think money is evil.
what makes money evil is that some people use the money for crime and fraud.
even if we are rich or poor it is not a benchmark and you cannot judge that every poor person considers money as the root of evil.
if you think that all poor people imagine this you are certainly too naive because basically there is no difference between poor people or rich people what distinguishes them is the mindset and without us realizing the thread you mention is like creating a dividing wall between the poor and the rich which makes all poor people so bad in their image

There are so many external reasons, why is money the root of all evil? Because money has the conditions for exchange with any commodity and is legal. On the one hand, money is a symbol of wealth. Money has unlimited influence. It can arouse people's greed. Another reason is that money is limited, and people's greed can never be satisfied. The root problem is mentality of the person and his nature because I have seen many people who has bag loads of money with them and still down to earth and showing they are just as common to you.But sometimes people don't have much money but their minds always play dirty games and they do some robbery or kill someone.Money is just a source which can be used both in a positive and negative manner but it depends upon the user how he utilities it.Warren Buffet and others on rich list are not indulging into any dirty politics or cheap crimes.It is our greed and Nature which forces us to do evil things.

Some developed countries are rich and you can't reach them. Some countries are poor and make people think that the world is purgatory. People say such kind of stuff because with money you can afford fancy vacations and other things of life.
According to what I have experienced  and seen is people being careless with life, such as some one buying a fast car and they push to the limit and it ends up taking their life, and the conclusion to this sad ending is somone having money. Indeed. It was really the mentality of a person and it's nature because what they have seen by other's, they might do it also or copy it. Today's society is governed by money and through money people become rich and poor and as we can observe, in every activity there is a corruption through money. Money is not the root of all evils because there are lot of poor people that even they don't have a lot of money but they are happy with the presence of their family. Some people use money on bad deeds. Money is only a means. It is neither good or bad in itself. You can decide to pay someone to do bad deeds or you can contribute to charitable causes.

It is often said that the biggest difference between the rich and the poor has it origin from the mindset.
One major question that always borders me is "are we created with different mindset at birth and what role does environmental factors have to place on mindset of an individual".

I agree with what you said about the difference between rich and poor is about mindset. If a person set a positive mindset everything can fall into place. Most poor are stuck on poverty because of their negative mindset and because of that they limit themselves in anything that they can do. And just to survive a day without thinking about tomorrow, thats where evilness came in.

Well if you asked me about this ten years ago I will absolutely say "No". It's not the root of evil but its their negative mindset, thier point of views. But now, when many things change, when the price of our daily needs increases but the income stays the same, when the people in power got greedier, corrupt and abusive, when poor was always neglected and not accepted on jobs just because of their background, and specially this pandemic that make people desperate, I can say that money is the number 1 root of evil. Many people can never resort on doing bad to have money if everyone has given a chance with equality and given more options.

yes it is true because basically it is as a means of transaction in life, only that nothing more.
What makes money very important in life is of course human intervention and consciously or unconsciously, humans as facilitators make money depend on their desires and one of them is money as a crime itself.

People should remember it's Love of Money is the root of all evil. That makes sense because loving money or being too attached to it can make you do all sort of immoral things to keep acquiring more.
The irony of blaming this on the poor is that they (lots of the poor) seems to work harder than rich and are paid little (or they charge little) for their services.
