I'll be honest here and say that I don't pay with bitcoin because I'd rather spend fiat money.

I hold bitcoin as an investment that grows in value while my fiat money loses value every year. Selling bitcoins and holding fiat money is counterproductive. I'd feel like sacrificing myself for the community.
I'm not rich so I can't afford it.

I have the same sentiments here. As much as possible, I want my crypto to hold. But sometimes, I use crypto to pay some of my bills like water or electricity as my local exchange are accepting this payment. Also, topping up my phone is one of my common usage of crypto because I am not spending much satoshis. If given the choice, I won't spend my btc at all for the hope that someday, it will gain its value in the market.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

— Let's have some fun.

I believe that the majority of the forum users want to see Bitcoin being globally adopted, including myself; I imagine people using it in their daily transactions for food, coffee etc. Lightning payments can tackle the scaling issue and the only thing left for Bitcoin to be used as a currency from the whole world is its mass usage. If the adoption rate increased so would the price's standability.

So, do you set a good example and pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to or do you prefer not to spend your coins? I'll speak my personal view about this, in my country none of the merchants accept it and I rarely buy some hosting services from the internet. If they do accept it, I'll pay for it, but not because it satisfies me; it's just that I can't with PayPal. I'd prefer paying with PayPal for online services, because I may be scammed if they aren't popular.

Not sure why irreversibility is an advantage when you're paying an unknown person online. That's why I'd prefer having a third party for my online transactions.
I do pay with bitcoin whenever I can, I have only done so once at a physical store since there are not really that many stores that accept bitcoin close to me, however when it comes to making purchases online I have used bitcoin several times already and whenever I have the opportunity to pay with it I do so, however about the fact that transactions cannot be reversed this is a feature in the sense that even if you think the money you have in your bank account is yours this is not really true as your accounts can be blocked and your transactions can be reversed, something that is impossible to do with bitcoin which means you have real possession of your coins.

In my country, it's not possible to make routine purchases with cryptocurrencies, but we use that system among friends to make money transfer. Also, some landlords accept payments with Bitcoin from tenants, but I only know one such case, apart from that it's very rare.

I'd use crypto in the shops, restaurants, and other places if it was possible and easy, e.g. with an app, touch ID, or something like that, I wouldn't want to press the private key each time in a public place  Cheesy

I have yet to spend any bitcoins at any of the stores that accept bitcoin as a payment method.

Bitcoin has a great growth potential, thus I don't want to utilize it as payment because the price may quadruple at any point in crypto.

Bitcoin is a valued asset, analogous to gold. Did you use gold as a payment method? It's a difficult and time-consuming operation, so imagine if bitcoin is squandered; I might regret it if the price of bitcoin rises after I use it. I hold crypto so I can gain profit anytime if the BTC rises.

I still don't spend any bitcoins on any stores that accept bitcoin as one of the payment method. Bitcoin have the huge potential to grow so I really don't want to use it as a payment because it might triple the price anytime in crypto. Bitcoin is similar to gold, both valuable asset. Did you even use gold for a payment sysyem? It's pretty hard and long process so imagine if bitcoin are being wasted, i might regret if btc price goes up after using it.

Bitcoin is the potential coin, so it's reason for the huge traders in bitcoin. When people get into crypto investment, the first thing will do will be bitcoin trading. But the reason for the less profit will be the lesser investment in the beginning. It will be omitted to get huge profit.

So far, I never use bitcoin to make any payment or purchasing any goods, rents, services, or other things.
Moreover, Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are not legal as a "currency or payment method" in my country. SO, there is no provider or merchants that accept crypto for payment.
Additionally, I also never make a shop aborad and use BTC.

Yes I do.
Glad to know it, to know that BTC is available to be used as one of the payment methods in your country. And this is for daily and monthly payment transactions. Great enough. Hopefully, there will be also the same in my country, someday.

Your goal is like treating Bitcoin as an investment or store of value which is also not bad though, you can decide for that.
But I think what OP wants to ask or say is like having the ability or comfortability to use Bitcoin from your wallet to pay services or goods like you using your fiat money in your pocket to pay immediately what you want to buy.

For me, VERY yes. Bitcoin is just a good payment of method for everything, especially with the lightning network so you will not worry about how long the transaction will get confirmed.

Not on a daily basis but maybe every month,  i paid my web hosting bill use bitcoin, and also rent some digital services such as vps, most of those service I use bitcoin as payments, I have never used it as a daily needs such as food etc. because no merchants here want to accept crypto as payment and they might be dont even know what bitcoin is.

Of course, I do since this is the very convenient thing to do when you don't want to hassle going out and buying stuff with a third party services. Bitcoin third party services like merchants who do accept Bitcoin as a payment is like a store near you and all you do is grab your phone and do the trade for just a minute.

I do HODL Bitcoin sometimes when I think I'm in a loss especially if the market is slightly going down since I always monitored my funds. This market movement these past few weeks is telling me to HODL.

I wanna try it but I'm worried if bitcoin will increase its price in the market and I have other things to do with it.

There are a lot of things that bitcoin can pay but I just want to hold until I can and not spend it for something else.

But also there's nothing wrong to try using it in a certain goods or products that I'm going to pay, just being practical.

As long as merchants are willing to accept Bitcoin, then I will definitely go for it. I guess everyone needs to experience it, instead of just holding it for a long time. I've seen people who went 100% full on crypto, so I guess if they have to pay someone or something then obviously they have to used it at some point. No problem with being a holder, but if we truly want Bitcoin to be universally accepted, then we should start using it.

I used to back when it was a p2p currency.  Nowadays the right thing to do according to the community is to HODL, right?  That's how Bitcoin is going to have value according to those in control of it's development.  You are supposed to just mortgage your house and buy as much Bitcoin as you can, then never sell your BTC and take out more loans as you need money using the Bitcoin as collateral.  That's the new world we are all striving for right?  Don't spend anything and take on as much debt as possible?  That's what Michael Saylor told me and I'm sure he has the community's best interests in mind.  Cheesy
OG, Your HODLer envy is showing.. Roll Eyes This is new but I guess people who were making efforts to setup ways to spend Bitcoin and spending it themselves may look at the Hodling as a breach of promise, LOL.

The Store of Value use-case gained traction due to the delays in LN roll out and adoption. It is obvious that more p2p adoption would have been helpful but the emergence of centralized exchanges and intra-day traders betting on Bitcoin volatility changed everything. It couldn't have been foreseen that traders would so overwhelmingly take to Bitcoin than daily users.

With LN and the examples like Bitcoin beach, the time is right for btc to be used for payments by people who otherwise have few alternatives other than cash to save. As far as Michael Saylor is concerned, I don't think he'd advise anyone to bet the house on Bitcoin. He is a businessman and incorporated Macrostrategy to hold his reserves. Its not like he is personally hodling all those coins. Limited Liability helps.

but other from that ? there is no any chances that i can use so very few that i can do it.

So, do you set a good example and pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to or do you prefer not to spend your coins?
Yes, I do prefer to pay with BTCitcoin if they'd accept it. Most of the time, I'm limited to indirect purchases with BTCitcoin, but that never stopped me; depending on where I am [prior to the outbreak, I regularly went back and forth between two countries], I've paid for my bills through an app [indirectly] and have "directly" purchased various computer parts from a local shop [other than gift card purchases].
- Personally, I don't see hodlers as true BTCitcoiners.

Not sure why irreversibility is an advantage when you're paying an unknown person online.
The advantage in question is heavily leaned towards the seller.

NO!
Last year I paid 100 USD worth of BTC to a guy and he scammed me.It was my mistake, because I didn't use escrow.
4 years ago I paid 30 USD worth of BTC to buy an ebook. It was a pretty shitty ebook, but at least the seller delivered the product,so it wasn't a scam, but I lost 30 dollars for nothing. Grin
Bitcoin was cheap back then,I would've made 10x more money just by HODLing those 30USD worth of BTC. Angry
I'm not going to use Bitcoin to pay for goods and services anymore.I'm selling my Bitcoins for money in my bank account only.

In fact, I have used Bitcoin to pay for some time, but its speed is not fast enough for micropayments and the handling fee is a bit high, but I think that with the development of the Lightning Network, this series of problems may be improved. Some countries have recognized Bitcoin as a legal currency, which means that we can use Bitcoin to pay more in real life.

I do this because if enough people do the same, they will realize that this is something that a significant percentage of their customers would like to see, and to "normalize" the idea of customers being willing (or even wanting) to pay via bitcoin.
I guess you mean the merchants you're paying face-to-face. What about the online services? Would you rather pay an unknown man cash instead of credit and trust he'll not rip you off?

Yes for  me.if ever I have bitcoin and they accepting bitcoin I will used it.but it should be actual paying for transfering bitcoin as payment so.they will see the proof of payment. And also I will used it to pay in a trusted site that been known already all over the world.never trust the unknown online shopping to pay using bitcoin because it might be a scam.pay for bill.used load for me is good...but online shopping not worth trusting and not actual or face to face paying I wont do it.ofcourse we want just to be secure and we dont want to waste our bitcoin...

I once paid using bitcoin when I went to a grocery store few years ago, its value at that time is still small so I had to pay a large amount of bitcoin which at this moment its value now is more than 3x. I regretted those moments when I remember them and should have just saved it. Right now I don't spend it anymore unless there is an emergency, I am treating bitcoin as my long-term investment and will just spend it when I retire. Paying with bitcoin on a daily basis now is just a waste as its value continue increases over the years because of its limited supply.

Bitcoin is not welcome in my country, so I am somewhat limited in spending. But if you ask, would I spend if I could? The answer is yes. It's comfortable. Today I have to exchange it to get something. I do not adhere to the position of "keep and never spend bitcoin"and I feel white envy towards those who can easily and without experiencing any difficulties acquire what they need by paying with bitcoins.
