An update after the day 2 of Dream League for dota 2. I wasn't expecting Aurora to be struggling like this. In the past tournaments, they're one of the best runners every group stage. Maybe the patch did the thing? and as for Team Falcons, I've watched their games and they're giving absolute beautiful dota. I advice you guys to watch their upcoming games because even if a game comes to them to lose, they're giving a hard time to their opponents.

Aurora faced strong teams on day one and day two so if they keep losing on day three, then maybe what you said is true, the patch probably nerf them or they’re just exhausted. Today Aurora is going to face ex-Heroic and GL, if they keep their spirit and their focus, I believe they can turn things from 0-3 to 4-3.

Btw, it’s hard to watch all the matches one by one. I’ll probably just watch my favorite team for now because once the games start since it’s impossible to watch all 4 streams at the same time  .

Aurora did it today, they won against GamerLegion and x-Heroic. There were too many games and that's why we can't even watch them altogether at the same time, just choosing the games that we bet or teams that we like to see them play.

I was already oiling my schlong, in celebration of the big win. I put 610 bucks on 4.3 odds on Gamerlegion.
I was already making reservations for tonight's big feast at my local restaurant. It was gonna be caviar day.
This garabage team decides to throw a 40k gold lead.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

I was thinking of betting on GL as well but then, I chose the other game and that bet of mine also lost.

With draft you mean the heroes of each team? But do you bet on this alone?

Because even if the underdog has a better draft they are still the underdog and you can only take the draft so far if the other team is better in gameplay

Overall, at the end of day 2, the results we got are like 4thrives again on the first position since they had a very good day 1 and at the same time they were not losing the momentum yesterday too that's why on the top of the table but for how long it could be ?
Because they have 103 points, but the team on number 3 has 102 points. Two days of the final are still left, and this time is going to be intense for sure.

NaVi finally got their revenge against Vitality yesterday and if they can keep up that form, then they might be on their way to winning the trophy at IEM Atlanta.



At one point, it was not that far off from being a 2-0 win for Vitality, but they were so disconnected in the last few rounds of Anubis and NaVi ran away with it to force the final map.

I cant say Im not but Im more curious with the PnL percentage, most of the time better drafts means favourites teams which also means horrible odds. Some people could be having decent win rate across bookies but the odds that they normally bets on are kinda bad

Think that donk will make the difference in this ending to a rather long and grinding tournament for this one.
Falcons have faltered very badly when it comes these finals so can't see them making their result any different in this one.

Horaa E sports needs to give their best in this match, they need to get chicken dinner so they have 10 points of placement.
 
On the other hand, 4t had an early fight in the fifth game with ASL, and they did very well   there, there were wonderful grenades thrown by T24 and IOQ as well, both of them wanted to earn the title of an with golden hands and they eliminated ASL. But at the same time, in this crucial stage 4T made a critical change of replacing Huzaifa with Nocki but Nocki did not played well and Falak as well as Nocki got eliminated in the first fight which was not good for 4T.

After that first map, it felt like we're in for a banger final, but Spirit stealing that second map was a sign for a clean sweep.

Even though they fell short again, I still think they had a decent run with Karrigan because you can't expect perfect results instantly.

Later, NaVi should be next on IEM Atlanta or maybe GamerLegion can put up a surprise after beating Legacy, which NaVi struggled against during the groups.

Well, i don't know about win-rate, since i don't have that stat available, but i can show you profit/loss.

Odds don't scare me. I have no problem putting normal stake on a 5x odds if i believe in the draft. I would rather lose the bet, than being a coward, by not following my call, and watch my call being right. It happened once, in a match OG vs Execration. Execration odds 5.3x. I thought Exe had the better draft. I pussied out. Execration won. Never again. Lesson learned.

Some of these teams played like absolute dogshit. ex-heroic, gamerlegion(insane throws. they really struggle to close out maps) and vici gaming, are for me the worst teams at the tournament. Honorable mention for Virtus.Pro. If Vici gaming and VP were on group B, they would have been eliminated as well. I think both Nigma and Rekonix played better than vici and VP.

Tundra seems they haven't played dota in like a month. Lots of individual mistakes, i can't even point out one player in particular, it's all of them. It feels their communication is also way off. It's like they're playing without using discord or something.

As for who i think impressed me the most so far, i would say Spirit and Parivision. Those are to me, so far, the best teams at the tournament. I know falcons are unbeaten, but they looked very shaky at times. Same goes for Navi. Falcons seemed to be going back to confort Ammar heroes, like alot of Timbersaw and mars,which are way too out of meta and quite garbage, but it seems to be working out. Let's see for how long. Navi is the typical comeback team. Reminds me of old Team Spirit, but they currently lack the individual skill to pull it off consistently.

I am expecting more from Aurora, Liquid and Betboom. Shoutout also to Playtime, this team is legit, very impressive growth.

I agree, rekonix and nigma went to the war than the other teams that you've mentioned. They fought till the end.

I have bet for the XG/Tundra game during the live odds and it's about XG to end the game. But Tundra managed to control it and won the series. Now, both XG and Playtime are in the lower bracket for the playoffs.

It was a sweep in another grand finals by Navi who went 3:0 against GamerLegion.
On the last map GL had the chance not to be blanked like that when they were up 11-8 (or was it 12-8?). But somehow Navi took them to overtime and finished them off. Wonderful took the MVP of the finals.
So both Vitality and Navi look to be the top two teams of tier one CounterStrike.

Motivation is not, and should not be an issue here. Tundra is simply out of shape. And the most logical explanation to me is, they took a break from practice, and maybe even pubs, and are now using DreamLeague as a glorified bootcamp. Remember they also bombed out from that 1win tier 2 tournament, losing to tier 2 teams. Since they have been already qualified for EWC for the last almost 4 months, they could afford to take a break, to get to most important stage of the season fresh. If EWC prizepool is a motivational issue, then might as well just retire. It's not going to get better.

Wdym by before? If by before you mean DPC days, remember 33 was only relevant during the second to last DPC season when he won his first TI, where the prizepool was already heavily declining. Also, the prizepools for the DPC majors were 500k, and were only 3 per year. Right now there are 11 tournaments with 1M prizepool per year, excluding TI and EWC. If by before you mean before even DPC or his TI winning Tundra team, remember he was failing to qualify to majors and often collecting last places when qualifying.
