So the Esports World Cup for dota is over and it sounded like Parivision had an easy grand final against BetBoom only allowing them to win a map.
Unfortunately was not able to watch them play with so many other things happening on the world stage in sports. But will hopefully have enough time to tune into The International next month to see if they can keep their winning ways alive.
Parivision seems ready for the TI and they're the crowd favorite which many think that they're going to win it. BetBoom shown strong in the playoffs and group stages but then, Parivision made it easy to beat them. I think one guy that has helped Parivision is Puppey. On an interview of no one, he's said that puppey isn't a strict coach and he wants everyone get involved to the draft and only suggests some good plays that they can adopt.

This is one of the biggest underdog win I've seen so far. Im not sure if I jinx it with my words on the last post but seriously both T1 and Gen.G lost was kinda unexpected. What a wild dream for the underdogs
I also don't know how it happened, but it's starting to feel like the wide gap we used to see between the other regional teams is closing in.

At least on the final day of the tournament, Gen.G secured third place while DK rolled KC 3-0 in the final.

T1 still can't get over their shit drafts, so Gen.G easily cruised in the final map. As for DK, they made that win look easy, and KC was always getting outmatched on every role.

I still don't understand what happened with T1 to make a draft that seems like everyone just picks what they want and good luck to the team. I hope this gets fixed for the regional and world championships. It's strange, and even difficult, to bet on them this way.

The Blast Bounty 2026 Season 2 matches have begun. In the tournament’s first match, M80 faced off against Ninjas in Pyjamas. NiP managed to win the match 2-0. NiP displayed strong teamwork, and it’s worth noting that they made a strong impression with their new roster.
The second match currently underway in the tournament is between Astralis and Nemesis. The first map, Nuke, was selected by Nemesis, but Astralis isn’t playing it too badly either.

That's great to hear! I was getting bored without a CS tournament. I hadn't heard of NiP in ages, but this blast brought together several teams I'd never heard of. Will any of them stand out from the already well-known ones? I saw that Astralis already lost a map.

Noticed that this tournament just started and glad I am finally watching one from the first day as Blast is my favorite of all them because it is in bounty format.
Currently watching Astralis and as @Pumared had already mentioned they dropped a map but seemed to have straightened the ship and have won the third map.
Waiting for MOUZ to take on a new comers Nuclear TigeRES in the next match of day one,

Man, MOUZ's Ancient match was very tight, a performance I really enjoyed and hadn't seen in a while. They won 2-0, but Ancient surprised me by winning 13-6. I'll see how the other teams are doing, but for me, if they play on this map again, it's already a very good bet.

Nah Im not convinced yet just from 1 game. Those two teams or other regions need to showcase this on Worlds to convince me. I doubt Gen.G and T1 would repeat the same mistakes

I still don't understand what happened with T1 to make a draft that seems like everyone just picks what they want and good luck to the team. I hope this gets fixed for the regional and world championships. It's strange, and even difficult, to bet on them this way.

They probably underestimated their opponent thinking they could save their strats but that just backfired. It could be T1's game for sure but for some reason they couldnt win. You know the funny part about this, T1 always plays badly on any other tournament then somehow they could win Worlds. Im not gonna be surprised if Faker wins another one this year

I don't think Parivision will win TI. This EWC wasn't good to measure anything. VERY underwhelming tournament to be honest. I don't want to take any credit to Parivision, they played very well, and were the best team clearly. But TI is an entire different beast of the tournament. That's where every single team will be at 100%, and i felt teams like 1win, Falcons, Liquid, Aurora or Spirit weren't even at 50% form. And a tournament with this format isn't really the best format to determine the best team. Lower bracket is essencial.

It definitely won't be this easy at TI for Parivision. Ever since EWC started, there wasn't a team to win both EWC and TI in the same year. Take it with a grain of salt, but so far it hasn't happened. Keep in mind TI will most likely be played in a slighly different patch, and some of these heroes Parivision relied on to win EWC will probably be nerfed. If i had to pick a team to win TI this year, based on the PEAK performance this year, i would pick Yandex.

Give 100%. 110% is impossible. Only idiots recommend that.

Your analysis is good about both teams, Team Yandex no doubt is a good one and they've been always ending in the good placing for the tournaments they have participated, it's either they're 1st or 2nd-3rd. I still think that all of those tier 1 teams that you've mentioned were still good and I've read some thoughts of Yatoro that they're determined to win this year's TI. So it's hard to say who's going to possibly win the TI until we see it happen.

Bringing up some news about the next Blast Slam tournament, the community is talking about the fearless draft. If this is being applied to the next ones, then it might be hard for those who doesn't have a lot of heroes or before the tournament comes they'll have to widen their hero pool.

Fearless Draft and Tier 2: The Proposed Antidote
One concept gaining traction among the Dota community is Fearless Draft, a format where heroes cannot be picked twice in a series. This forces teams to expand their strategies dramatically, breaking the stale meta mirrors that plague many best-of-three matches. When every series becomes a deep dive into a team’s hero pool, the viewing experience shifts from predictable to genuinely tactical.

An equally pressing point is the neglect of Tier 2 teams. The professional circuit is a top-heavy pyramid, and the same few organizations hoover up direct invites while rising squads are left scrambling through qualifiers with minimal support. Integrating Tier 2 challengers more formally into the high-stakes schedule could inject fresh blood and upset-driven storylines—the kind that originally made Dota 2 esports compelling. After all, the departure of organizations like Tundra fr

I remember fearless draft being used a year ago, on a Fissure tier2 tournament. Xtreme Gaming won that tournament. It's pretty cool and a breath of fresh air. However, it won't be the best way to measure who the best team in the tournament, since neither EWC or TI will be using it. Probably good for the fans to watch.

I really like the support for tier 2 scene, but i've grown to despise tier 2 scene, seeing how much matchfix there is currently. It's truly sickening.

Give 100%. 110% is impossible. Only idiots recommend that.

Yes, but it can happen that PARI win TI this year. We've seen it several times before with teams like Team Liquid, OG and Team Spirit. They dominated tournaments such as the EWC and various Majors and Minors and later went on to win The International.
Since PARIVISION won the EWC Dota 2 tournament, I think there's higher chance they'll also win TI, especially because this is the last major tournament before The International. Unless the meta changes significantly and their current comfort heroes are no longer among the strongest picks. right?
