Yes, even the bookies doubted Mouz because of their new changes in the roster, but it somehow worked when the favorites had a bad day.
I see, looks like I got really lucky here It was also fascinating to see that Astralis almost staged a comeback against MOUZ - I watched the final map and even placed several lay bets against MOUZ at very short odds but unfortunately they held on. I will surely keep following CS.

I will surely keep following CS. You previously asked why Spirit odds were so low against a team like MOUZ. As ralle14 mentioned it was to do with their roster. Same with Spirit as Magixx and Donk were the more experienced team members in these situations of being a grand finals so that is what these bookies go by when making the odds to give them. This is MOUZ second title of a major for this year so far, so they will probably judge them in their next competition as the favorites when they face off against those same teams. Anyways we have the Esports World Cup starting up so that should keep those who are interested in some top tier CounterStrike involved in the conversation just like the one for dota last month.

To answer that question, all you had to do was show the most recent maps where the teams faced each other. Mouz dominated Spirit with a 3-1 victory. And these weren't maps that were contested by both teams; they were wins with a large point advantage. That counts a lot towards the odds set by the bookmakers.

It's so boring when there is no big competition in CS2. Like nowadays... However the good news is that there is only a week left for the Esports World Cup to be underway. There is a prize pool of $2m which is crazy. Was there ever a bigger prize pool than this in a CS2 competition? By the way I hope Aurora make some improvement in their teamwork. After the recent roster changes they've looked problematic in even easy games.

The majors always put up a $1m prize pool, so that's surely the biggest one unless we've missed another competition. As for the upgraded Aurora roster, their shakiness is expected, but still they've managed to qualify for Starladder. Their new additions to the roster are too good for them not to improve, and who knows, maybe they could pull off something similar to what Mouz did.

Games of the future is done, and your champion is Playtime with 2 stand ins, jabz and abed. They have singlehandedly beat Yakult Brothers in a 3-0 grand finals. In the image below is the placing of the participants and how much they'll take home for their prize. I think Playtime better keep this roster.
Solid run from PlayTime, and at the same time it's crazy how the prize pool is this big for a tier two tournament. I'm glad I dodged this tournament because I can't believe XG, VG, and LGD failed to make it through the semis when the teams aren't even tier one level. I also dodged this tournament, it's hard to see these good teams fall but I am happy to see Playtime that these players able to get this achievement even with their stand ins. Just for the esports and dota 2 fan specifically on this thread, The International 2026 is just a few days away, who's excited?

While we wait for these bigger tournaments, i'll dabble in some League since i've noticed that T1 is currently first in the LCK standings and these odds are too nice given they've beaten HLE in the Kespa Cup. Maybe there's desperation on HLE to win because they're on a three-series losing streak, but i'd rather not go against T1 when the easier path to Worlds is on the line here. The International 2026 is just a few days away, who's excited? I don't want to hype it up too much, but I can't wait to see which team would shock us in the group stage and ruin a lot of fantasy predictions.

Hahaha, that's all I am excited for with our fantasy predictions. The items, the aegis maybe but I don't like that. As long as a couple of decent items or rewards that I can have, I should be okay with that. But if we gets shocked and there is or are teams that have ruined our fantasy predictions, I won't complain. That also adds to the flavor of this tournament because we get to see more serious games. Anyway, today, it's too bad for me I'm in a losing streak in the ranks.

Unfortunately, my bet on T1 fell short, and surprisingly, their management swapped out Oner for the academy jungler, Painter. Either way, that draft in game three is abysmal, so I doubt things would be any different even with Oner playing Nocturne. With the playoffs already revealed on the CS2 EWC qualifiers, I might as well try to back BC.Game through all three of their games today, starting with this first match against OG. The only reward I care about is the terrain token so I can play with one of those older exclusive terrains, the rest is more of a bonus. I also don't mind as long as it's only one of the two stages, because if it's on both of them i'm surely missing out on those rewards.

I cannot fucking believe my eyes.
TaiLung just got a lifetime ban from TI and all PGL tournaments, due to matchfixing. This is unreal.
17 years old and his promising career is already over. LGD needs to find a new mid for TI now. And people didn't believe me when i said South America scene was cooked with matchfix. But even i, had no idea it was this bad. Unbelievable.

This is the end of his career, I also saw this news. What a wasted talent. I guess that this is his first TI but few days before the event, he got banned. What a pain. I think that Abed can step in and be their stand in he's able to play with other SA players and became a champion in the games of the future.

1win managed to beat Liquid in their Round of 32 match at the 1win Esports World Cup. NAF was one of Liquid’s worst performers of the day. Both teams managed to win their respective pick maps, and on the decider map, 1win took a 9–3 lead on the T-side to secure the victory. 1win will face 100Thieves in the quarter-finals, though to be honest, I don’t think they’ll be able to beat them. Dev1ce and his team will come out on top.

I was hoping they'd go all the way, but 100Thieves are the better team after upgrading their IGL with Gizmy. 1win will face 100Thieves in the quarter-finals, though to be honest, I don’t think they’ll be able to beat them. Dev1ce and his team will come out on top.
As expected, 100Thieves won the series 2-0 to secure one of the four qualifiers spots. First map should've gone to 1win, but they had to claw their way back in the second half, only to lose in OT. I think that Abed can step in and be their stand in he's able to play with other SA players and became a champion in the games of the future.
It didn't take long for the stand-in announcement to be posted, and it appears they went with Topson. I'm not sure how well their synergy will be, but I hope they don't go 0-4 in the groups.

Way to go topias, ez participation in TI without qualifying hehehe.

JiJieHao managed to secure a victory against HOTU. Despite losing on Mirage—the map they had chosen themselves—the JiJieHao team staged a comeback and qualified for the 2026 Esports World Cup. Another team to earn a spot in the tournament was K27. K27 deserves congratulations for their hard-fought victory over Fnatic. The presence of an standout player on K27 was the key factor in their ability to defeat their opponent and qualify for the main tournament.

I think Quinn would be the best replacement LGD could get right now. Apparently it was TaiLung's own team who reported him. Good on them. And according to KJ's post, everyone knows what's going on in the South American scene. I knew for awhile what's going on, when teams are willing to matchfix in TI qualifiers, but it's even worse than what i knew. I knew 90% of the region was matchfixing but i never imagined players like Darkmago or Tailung with salaries ranging between 10k-20k PAID IN USD, which allows people living in Peru to live like a fucking king, would be still matchfixing. Insane.

Quinn has no longer that crave for competition and I guess that exhaustion from their bootcamp and tournament chasing has caused him into that form. But it's a great idea that if he's back, there are a lot of teams lately that needs a good mid. AFAIK, the first person that LGD contacted was somnus, no need for visa issues since he's a chinese and they know him well. But surprisingly, they got topson which is not a bad choice but let's see if some good come back for topson. He's now t he epitome of direct TI invite. Apparently it was TaiLung's own team who reported him. Good on them. And according to KJ's post, everyone knows what's going on in the South American scene. They're already living like king with that salary but still did to sell their matches. Man, even million dollars athletes are falling for it so, how much more of these when they're driven by greed. Contentment is key, other pro players just want to play competitively, get salary and win tournaments. These boys want to win even the bookies lol.

He probably thought he could get away with a sneaky throw since it's at the highest level of competition, but sometimes it's these small things that can backfire like crazy. I've read that Team Liquid is also trying to get him if ever one of their core is about to retire but, it seems good riddance for them when this happened.
I saw this post too, Liquid's coach said they're eyeing him if Nisha steps down from their roster. He could've been playing under the Liquid squad in the future, but unfortunately he dug his own grave.
