There were no surprises in today's Esports World Cup. Team Spirit lost yesterday, so I watched their matches carefully today. Ancient won easily everything is easy when Donk starts well. They lost to Mouz in the finals last tournament, then to JiJieHao yesterday, and today they got their first victory. Although they struggled on Dust2, they won in overtime. Luminosity had a good attempt on Dust2.

Well, the Dota 2 international has arrived, and I'm very glad that Dota's ancestor is back in business. Finally, there will be these exciting streams, and we will watch the matches and cheer for the favorite teams as well as for the teams from our countries. It's going to be forgotten, and I always worry when I watch the guys from my country try to prove that they deserve to continue on the path to aegis. I've already done all the predictions, looking at how topson put it, and I want to make sure that this guy is right in his predictions and forecasts. I haven't had time to watch any matches yet, but my friends say that he himself shows excellent results in the game.
As a Dota2 player/gamer then this is always been the most anticipated tournament compared to Majors but of course it would be best if they would be also bringing back the battle pass. Now they are still on groupstage. I've been rooting for OG but it seems that they have a bad start up beaten up with Nigma Galaxy and if they would be having that another 2 loses then it would say byebye to them or early airport. BB,Falcons and Team Vision are on the top but these are already anticipated but well, upper bracket isnt that much important. Whom you do think is the darkhorse of this TI? I haven't even had time to study the full list of teams participating in the qualifiers yet, but the only thing I've seen is that my favorites, Team Spirit, will be participating. Also, from my country of residence, Yandex Team will be participating, which I'm seeing for the first time, and there's a chance they'll be the dark horse you're talking about. While writing this post, I've studied the list of teams and am happy to see 1win (strange that they're from Europe; I thought they were Russian) sponsoring the recent signature campaign. I'm also happy to see Parivision, from Russia. I'm currently busy finishing up the latest Dota event, the Oracle, because I want to win every award and then fully focus on watching the tournament. Have you able to get arcanas on that Oracle or that dark carnival? I have been able to get 3 arcanas with that SF, WR, VS on which is the best thing i do get from this event. Going back into TI, well TS is known about being the comeback kings on which usually they do drop on the lower bracket and then beating up anyone on lower then goes to finals but knowing into those tons of powerhouse teams then it wont be that still a smooth sail ride for them. Im eyeing also for LGD specially now that Topson is there but of course lets just see on how this group stage would finalize and seeing those final lower and upper bracket positioning.

I wonder which series will shock us today on TI, because yesterday was too clean from all the favorites, and it's too good for us to have another day like that. Both Chinese teams should take their first win later today, but the unfortunate part is that they could face each other in the 1-1 bracket.
That victory against Luminosity was expected, but still, it's worrying that they needed OT to close out their map pick Dust 2. They need to wake up soon because the playoffs is right around the corner and it's going to be a problem for them if they are paired against the other top teams (Mouz, NaVi, Falcons, Vitality) from the other groups.

OK now I'm really confused because of the CS World Cup (yes I'm a CS and Esports newbie). Just checked the results and now it's suddenly a best of three while matchday 1 was just a best of one. Also a bit rare to see that all odds-on favs won yesterday - time to get involved for me now

3 parlays were lost due to another weird match happened with T1 where Dplus KIA were able to reverse sweep the game earlier. I thought there’s no more mage bot in LCK but I was wrong because it’s still there. Even when Oner sub as T1 jungler, they still lost. They still have one more match in their homeground this coming august 16 against Gen G. Of course, another bet for T1 since the odds are pretty good. I hope there won’t be any changes with the starting player. What about you guys? Will you also bet on T1 against Gen G?

That's what happened with Spirit, Aurora, Parivision, and Tyloon in the wildcard round. They were all favorites and ranked higher, but lost their best-of-one matches. Now, betting on MD3 matches will depend more on tactics. I'm going to bet according to the ranking, with a lot of faith that the Falcons will win.

Yes, even a broken clock will be right two times a day In a BO1, if you get some luck rounds you can roll and take the match home. But when you have a BO3, if you win one of the maps, the next two the favorite team will learn from their mistakes and probably win 1-2 or at least make a though fight JiJieHao 13–10 Team Spirit is a good recent example https://www.hltv.org/matches/2396559/spirit-vs-jijiehao-esports-world-cup-2026

I also got burned by T1 thinking they'll whoop DK again just like in the previous meeting, but like you've said, that Ziggs bot in game three only made their composition much harder. Even in the other regions, I still see these mage champs getting picked and they only work against shitty teams. There are too many good events to bet on this weekend, so i'm not sure if i'll have the time to bet on that match, and if I do i'll probably go for Gen.G over T1. I'd rather not fade Gen.G after they've recovered a bit of form and even topped the standings. OK now I'm really confused because of the CS World Cup (yes I'm a CS and Esports newbie). Just checked the results and now it's suddenly a best of three while matchday 1 was just a best of one. Also a bit rare to see that all odds-on favs won yesterday - time to get involved for me now It's a format similar to the recent major, where they start with best of ones, then back to best of threes after that. Yesterday, i'm glad I didn't have the time to watch live because the dogs are barking, with both Vitality and Mouz falling short against B8 and FUT in Group C.

Thanks for the link. Now I really regret not placing some gambles in the opening matches. It's a format similar to the recent major, where they start with best of ones, then back to best of threes after that. Yesterday, i'm glad I didn't have the time to watch live because the dogs are barking, with both Vitality and Mouz falling short against B8 and FUT in Group C. Also thanks for the explanation teammate Incredible CS results - unfortunately I was not at home yesterday, so couldn't get involved in yesterday's matches. I would have surely opposed some of the short favs.......I think.

Vitality faced an unexpected result. After losing the match against B8, Vitality dropped to the lower bracket. The first map was Mirage, and I should start by noting that it was B8’s pick. B8 won this map 16-12 in overtime to take a 1-0 lead in the series. On Inferno—their own pick—they finished the CT side with a 9-3 lead but ultimately lost the map 13-11, tying the series at 1-1. On Dust2, however, they put in a terrible performance, losing 13-4 to their opponent and falling 2-1, which set them up to face Lynn Vision in the lower bracket. Although Zywoo, FlameZ, and Ropz all recorded the same number of kills, it wasn’t enough to win the match.

Today I found the chance to watch Aurora against JiJieHao in the most critical match of their group. I can comfortably say that this was the best performance of the Turkish team after the recent roster changes. We destroyed our opponent on Mirage and Anubis both. It was a poor day for Wicadia and XANTARES maybe. However the rest of the team played so extra to make up for that. You should have watched especially Jimpphat's effort on Anubis. He is such an amazing B anchor! Vitality faced an unexpected result. After losing the match against B8, Vitality dropped to the lower bracket.
Teams like Vitality and Spirit have been getting surprising results recently. I really wonder whether any of them will be competitive enough for the EWC championship.

I don't think playing pubs is an org requirement. There are some pro's in the scene that don't play pubs, for example Sumail, Nisha/m1cke/Boxi also very rarely plays pubs, and Kuroky when he was active also famously didn't play pubs. It's more of a matter of if you show up, and can perform, that's ok.
Topson was recognized in the pubs and I think I've overheard it in some pros that they really have a pub game requirement unless the org will just pass on that requirements for some exceptional players. I used to play like 6/7(nomemeintented) pubs a day everyday, but it takes a toll on my mental. The more you climb up the ranks the worse it is. I have been gravitating between Low Immortal/Divine 5 for years now. It's fun when you can solo carry games by skill diffing opponents, but when the games become evenly skill matches, it becomes RNG on the teammates you get, and how much you can carry their weight. I literally had a punching bag nearby so i could punch something after games. And the teammates don't even necessarily have to be toxic, most of the time, they are retards thinking they discovered the new meta at fucking 6k mmr. In just 4 matches yesterday, i had an mid IO, offlane Wraith King, and pos4 Magnus. Unplayable games, lost on draft. When your mid IO goes 2-12, you're held hostage for 40 minutes trying to win an unwinnable game. Now imagine this is your job, and you're forced to deal with these people 8 hours a day every day. Sure, there are way worse jobs. But being a Dota pro is not easy.
I feel you and I can relate on that, I'm also in the bracket. It's hard on the immortal bracket when there are those grievers who always cry. I queue specific one role and I'm just enjoying the games, win or lose. I encounter also those unorthodox heroes and plays against their roles but I don't complain at all even at the end of the game, I'm trying to maintain PMA for my behavior score. Being a pro is hard, true but they're paid and receiving salary and it's an exceptional opportunity to be one that many are dreaming of and can't find theirs to play with. There's a lot of matchfix going on in SEA and China, but at least those have the courtesy to do it in their shit tournaments, like lunar horse, or any tournament organized by CringeStation. These tournaments rarely appear in mainstream bookies, just the asian ones. And i'm okay with them matchfixing in those tournaments. Just don't do it in fucking TI quals or EWC mainstage or anything that actually matters. There is also matchfixing going on in EU, like EPL. And to be honest, i don't really care. I don't bet in those tournaments, and i don't care who wins it. But matchfix in EU/CIS is much less than the rest of the regions.
Speaking of TI, I'm not sure if there will be a controversy involving XG that they're probably involve on a 322? they've been eliminated too early. Skill diff I guess.

I'm full of doubts about those two having a deep run, but there's always a way for weaker teams to lose, so it'll depend on how the matchups look in the playoffs. Speaking of TI, I'm not sure if there will be a controversy involving XG that they're probably involve on a 322? they've been eliminated too early. Skill diff I guess.
Doing a 322 on TI would be insane. There shouldn't be one given how bad XG has been in the past few tournaments, and I think this is what losing Xiao8 does to a team.

Although Spirit lost the first map against BIG, they managed to stage a comeback and defeated their opponent 2-1. With this victory, they secured their spot in the playoffs. In particular, their ability to win the match without conceding a single round on the CT side of the decider map, Mirage, can be seen as a sign of solid teamwork. donk generally plays well on Mirage, and in this match, he secured 26 kills, proving once again that he’s a force on that map. His contribution throughout the match was significant as well.
In the match between MongolZ and NaVi, neither team managed to win the maps they had selected, and the match went to the decider map. On the decider map, Mirage, NaVi performed better as a team and managed to secure the win. In terms of scoring contributions, we can say that the players on NaVi performed at nearly the same level.

I don't think there will be any controversy. They were simply trash, and their coach swap didn't favour them at all. There's also a strong rumour going around in chinese scene that Ame tried to leave XG to Vici before TI, but Vici refused. It seems Ame has been very unhappy with the current roster for a few months now. Kinda toxic if you ask me. Either way, every chinese team are now out of TI. And speaking of Vici, they immediatly, officially disbanded after their loss to Falcons. This is the worst possible scenario for this TI to be honest. Dota needs a strong chinese scene, and having no chinese teams at the main stage is a big blow for the region. I really hope there will be a big crowd for the main stage, even without chinese teams. I think it's time, for China to try and assemble the absolute best possible roster within the region. Having best players for each role scattered around in the scene is not beneficial for the region, when there's barely any competition within the chinese scene.

No mage bot happened during the game and even Peyz did a great play, they still lost over Gen G. Have you watched their match @ralle14? They really had a great match on game 1. It was too close even when T1 got the baron and elder dragon first, Gen G was able to maintain and defend their base. What I think that made Gen G won the game is Duro's ultimate in mid where they able to kill Peyz, Doran, and Oner. Although the game was entertaining, again, I lost my bet on T1. Even my map handicap didn't make it since it was a sweep 2-0 against Gen G.

That's a big factor, it's also reported that Ame got out of the venue quickly after losing and rode a taxi going maybe home or somewhere. I don't think there will be any controversy. They were simply trash, and their coach swap didn't favour them at all.

That's a rage quit for the org of VG just after 45 minutes of losing their last match, a disband should probably take a couple of days or even months. But with VG's loss, it's almost an instant. I guess that this is the last TI for Ame and there's no more next time, I miss his teammate somnus I guess that they're in very good chemistry and if XG didn't allow XM to quit, it will be different I guess. And even LGD, a chinese org with SA players + topson is also eliminated.

I did tune in for that first game, insane back and forth with Chovy getting caught a bunch of times. It made me think they should've lost that game, but somehow T1 didn't push the issue while they had the buff. Then game two was a walk in the park after T1 went for a full AD composition. These homegrounds are almost like a debuff for these teams and i'm just happy my Gen.G ticket cashed since the past few weeks have been a rollercoaster. But with VG's loss, it's almost an instant.
I hope that disband causes XG to bring in Xm and XinQ because that 2025 roster should've run it back for one more season.

They managed to defeat Magic 9Z, one of this year’s breakout teams. On Magic’s side, we see that two players surpassed the 70-kill mark in this specific match. AW and Tenzy carried their team through this match, successfully leading them to the playoffs. 9Z is indeed one of the teams that has really emerged recently and become a strong contender, but it’s also worth noting that Magic is a team that has managed to defeat strong opponents in recent times. I would have expected 9Z to win and advance to the playoffs here, but AW and Tenzy stepped up despite the poor performance of their teammates and played a key role in securing the team’s spot in the playoffs.
