Betboom and Parivision just had some great games. I didn't expect to see Pudge and Puck, even though they weren't effective in the end. Nature's Rapier didn't work at all in the end. But the games were fun. Now we'll find out who's stronger in the end. I was most interested in Spirit's games today because Yatoro always shows more than just effective and impressive play. And I got to see the second match. There was no drawn-out jungle farming like there was in the first game between Betboom and Parivision. I don't like static and boring matches like these. I'd like to point out that the team that took Winter Wyvern lost. Overall, I'd say there was a festive feeling. Let's get to Game 3!

Haha, just now in the third match, Winter Wyvern, which is on Parivision's side, got first blood. And they picked Bear again, it's going to be a long match again. Yeah, Yatoro always plays great, I'm looking forward to the next Spirit matches. There were some games today with a lot of guys from the CIS. And yet, teams from South and North America, as well as Asia, didn't make it to the playoffs. And this is on Chinese International, lol. I don't watch official broadcasts, only local ones from local streamers, because they speak much more freely than the official casters, who are too formal for a game like Dota.

Superb match between Team Liquid and Team Yandex. Although I support Liquid on this match still a satisfying match despite they lose since the team fights is so cool due to back and forth advantage.

Liquid shouldn’t push the high grounds when they already lose Nisha Aegis since they are out position while Watson is free hitting NP without any obstacles.

Can’t believe Yandex manage to get that comeback despite all the odds against them.

Would it be smart to back all 4 outsiders in today's CS World Cup matches?

I'm tempted to back Astralis today but H2H looks quite one sided in recent matches.
Maybe I will just wait until the match starts and get involved in-play.
There will surely be some underdog wins today.

Well G2 did not look so good out the gate since Astralis beat them badly on the first map for the first game of the playoffs. So your assumption on Astralis are looking respectful so far even though their past matches didn't do them justice.
Same with Magic they dominated FUT on the first map too for another underdog win. With both the favorites having nearly identical odds pre-match circling around 1.44-1.49x for each of these early matches.

Next are FURIA vs Aurora and GamerLegion vs MOUZ so I can not see the same happening to these favorites in the later matches of the day.

I'm going to bet on this Furia vs. Aurora match. I was analyzing it and everything is very even. This is mainly because even though Furia is in the world's top 3, they are still inconsistent. Furia has a slight advantage in Dust2, Cache, and Inferno, but it's almost equal. Aurora only has an advantage in Anubis. So, depending on the outcome, I believe Furia will ban Anubis and pick Dust2. I'm betting on Furia thinking they will win Dust2 and maybe even Inferno. It's practically a 49/51 for Furia.

As predicted, Furia won, and it was a very close match: Ancient 13-11 for Furia, Nuke 14-16 for Aurora, and Mirage 13-9 for Furia. And a detail about that Mirage map: Furia finished the first half 3-9, meaning they were losing. However, in the second half, they won 10 rounds in a row and closed out the match. It was incredible to watch!

In addition, Vitality and Spirit won, as I also mentioned here. And I still believe that Spirit will win the match between the two teams.

Fura is currently playing against G2 and just won the first map. I'm still betting on Furia's victory, even with the lower odds.

Yandex’s drafting is really entertaining. Imagine playing IO as safelane and Slark mid in Game 2. IO mid or safelane would still be understandable because we’ve seen that a few times here at TI remember OG.ana IO, but Slark mid? For Yandex apparently Slark is an all-around hero now.. you can even use him as support for dewarding, carry and now mid. lol

It’s also nice that they 2-0 Team Liquid and what makes it even more painful for Liquid is that they had 36K gold advantage and still lost. I wouldn’t be surprised if IO gets banned in Yandex’s next match.

Actually it was an upset considering that Liquid is on favor to win up against Yandex and whats the worst is that it broke my parlay on which i thought it would go through after winning my Pvision bet and also ended with that upset and same goes with Falcon vs Nigma on which i didnt expect that they would really be that have that 2-1 in win of Nigma. They werent been able to shutdown Sumail.
Well, tomorrow on lower bracket will really be that interesting considering those who dropped on the top bracket will crawl down to beat up. Setting up another parlay for this one, just some side note on prediction on dota 2 already broken because of those unexpected results.

Not too sure if Spirit can make it competitive enough against Vitality who have been solid in playoff situations.

Aside from Io, that Bounty Hunter needs to be banned too. It's such an annoying hero, and the track kills can accelerate their power spikes.

That series between G2 and Furia looked very even after the first two maps, but it was all Furia on the decider map Dust 2.

I'm also taking both of them later today. Even with the clean win that Spirit put up against B8 yesterday, I still can't find the confidence to back them over Vitality.

We have some very interesting games coming up today, and I can't remember the last time I felt this much excitement for the opening games of the main bracket. This match between betboom and 1win (who recently appeared on our forum with their signing campaign) isn't the most exciting compared to all the upcoming ones. But the games that follow will be very interesting: we'll see how Liquid will compete with the Falcons (the favorites), and I want Team Liquid to stay and keep playing. They're a good team, and they can do wonders and get out of the lower bracket. But it's clear it won't be easy for them.

Team Yandex surprised everyone yesterday. Everyone was completely taken aback by how they took Team Liquid apart. Liquid is a very strong team, but Ace was slow and tOfu wasn't at his best. There were a lot of strange moves and actions. Of course, Watson's performance deserves special mention, as he triple-killed Wisp in the middle lane, which is simply the height of modern Dota madness. BetBoom is currently crushing their opponents on map three, 24-9, and it seems there's no chance of a comeback, despite the fact that there are plenty of comebacks these days.

Team Liquid was terrible, they choked for both games. Imagine that they've got aegis, on the lead and just have to end the game and yet, Nisha keep on fronting with that nature's prophet and being killed easily.

I guess twice or thrice did it happened and they continue to commit mistakes after mistakes. I think Liquid should have give that respect ban to IO.

It's not only for their mid but also to their carry. As for Betboom, they beat Iron Wing.

Team Liquid is showing off Faceless Void. If I'm not mistaken, Falcons were considered the favorites in this match. Half of my friends are rooting for them wholeheartedly. I think this was the Falcons' last game with this roster. It's safe to assume the new roster will be: Amar, Satabic, Malrine, notme.
There are rumors that Collapse might leave Team Spirit, but I don't want to believe it because their first roster was awesome. Many are betting on Parivision in the upcoming match. I'm absolutely sure we'll continue to see some great matches, which will certainly be unpredictable.
We've seen so many twists and comebacks that I don't think anything will surprise us anymore.

Yeah right, I’m sure many disappointed on Liquid lose yesterday and I thought they will continuously choke today against Falcon since Game 1 of the series is pretty 1 sided.

They manage got back to the game by doing the same exact dominance game by Falcon on game 2 and game 3. I thought are already done this TI since Falcon seems very strong on that early win.

I will keep riding Liquid on their lower bracket journey.

Finally, T1's lose streak ended with their match today against KT, and a reverse sweep happened. I wasn't able to watch the first game but for game 2, their picking is crazy cause Taliyah bot, rumble mid? T1 is really something cause it was a circus but they still ended up winning the game even if they picked heroes weirdly.

Also, I just want to point out Peyz game cause for game 2 and 3, he got 0 death and he was the player of the match. But personally, I think he's better if he doesn't use mage since he's better with ADC since he plays aggressively.

T1 has another match against HLE this Aug 23, will they be able to get their revenge? And will they let Oner play or there might be changes again with roster wherein they'd let Painter play again?

And of course, it’ll be another bet for T1. What about you guys? Where will you bet?

Our representative Aurora has been matched up against FURIA. Our other representative, FUT, will face the magic team. Frankly, the brackets didn’t turn out well for us. Let’s say Aurora defeats FURIA and the team coming from the upper bracket, and if FUT beats Magic and then defeats the winner of the GamerLegion vs. MOUZ matchup—which will most likely be MOUZ—we could see a FUT vs. Aurora showdown in the semifinals. Of course, that would be a huge surprise. In the scenario where FUT beats Magic, I’m not entirely convinced they have the strength to defeat the opponent coming out of the MOUZ-GL matchup.

In FUT, Xfloud's 1v5 Deagle ace made history. The most important match of the tournament is the quarterfinal between Team Spirit and Vitality today Zywoo is once again excelling at the most crucial moments, and the match is already on Anubis on the first map.
Let's see what happens in the FUT vs. Furia match. FUT currently looks better than Aurora, so they should actually beat Furia.

Furia will face FUT, who ended up beating Mouz 2-0. But only the first map, Dust 2, was the most contested, 16-13. The second map, Ancient, was more comfortable, 13-5. I honestly didn't expect this performance from Mouz.

Regarding Spirit, the game is happening now and they already took the first map 13-11, a very close match, 6-6 at halftime and 5-7 literally by the smallest of margins. They are playing on equal terms, but I still believe Spirit can close out the next map.
