Without apex, they are missing someone who has a positive impact on the whole team, making them more vulnerable. He is the one making the calls and bringing emotion to the match and the map. 

Thunderpick is wide open when it comes to team strength. I woud be really happy and could see FURIA taking it this time. 

I agree, and I wonder who'll be the next IGL to step up in the squad since jL surely doesn't know most of their play calls.

For the Thunderpick tournament, we'll see if FURIA shows some improvement, but for now i'll put them as the third best team because they've been getting worse.

It makes me think fatigue is starting to hold them back because they're probably the only tier one team that has played every S-tier tournament and hasn't taken a break.

Mkay, maybe you are right, that they might be running out of steam. All the traveling, jet lag, and playing tournaments back-to-back is just mentally and physically exhausting. You are constantly under pressure and have to deliver, which really takes a toll. But last time they completely crushed navi in an epic grand final... kscerato more than deserved his MVP award last year.

I'd put Falcons as the team to win it all, but if FURIA surprises us tomorrow and becomes the other finalist, then it could get interesting like it's a rematch of the IEM Cologne Major. The downside for FURIA heading into the finals is their map pool, but their individual prowess might make up for it.

Either way, I think the finals will be competitive because Falcons looked beatable against 9z the other day and these two teams on the other side of the bracket can be a problem when they're hitting their shots.

Furia against Falcons in the Grand Final would be f awesome, and I would love to see Furia win and send monesy and niko home    especially since Falcons are considered the favorites and Furia are still the underdogs here. Man I hope they catch the momentum, pls. Falcons individual skill often looks better on paper anyway, if you know what I mean... but with $250,000 for first place, everyone better try hard. I have to say that because of work, I could not follow the games as closely as I wanted to, hmm... but I am definitely going to watch the final sunday on twitch.

I checked and its showing exactly 1.9x on both Furia and Aurora. Aside from that its exactly 1.9x on over and under 2.5 maps as well. Even the bookies are unsure which team would win

I just realized after reading that bolded part, cs2 is probably the only esports that separate the team's share and player prizepool right from the start. The other games tournament are not as transparent as cs2 tournament organizer

It's hard to say who's better because Furia is still showing signs of life after beating Legacy, and Aurora also looked better after their early loss against 9z.

I'd rather go with over 2.5 maps and hope it goes to a decider because their win rates on most maps are very close, so even if they drop their map pick, the other team still has a good chance to win on their opponent's map pick.

I like this format because it gives slots to these aspiring teams and new talents, new bloods that can also be part of huge pool of players in the pro scene.

I'm surprised OG cruised through their qualifiers, but I still think most qualifier teams are still a step down from the invited teams. Those who fell short in the regional qualifiers will probably get another chance through that Division 2 tournament since that's how it went last season.

On the other hand, i'm looking forward to how the new Team Liquid holds up against the competition now that Malr1ne is on the roster.

That's not an easy path for them because there's the Royal Bear and then the Xipto Esports which are both good team. And they've faced Xipto in the grand finals. Good luck with the other teams that can get through the div 2 tournament.

On the other hand, i'm looking forward to how the new Team Liquid holds up against the competition now that Malr1ne is on the roster.

Just a few more days and we'll them play in the Pari Universe. I want ATF and Malr1ne trashtalk each other in the chat while playing.

Amazing grand finals yesterday in Furia vs betboom, well every map except map 1 and 5 was tense

Did not expect BB team to play this well, first they beat falcons and then almost beat furia as well. That map 4 comeback on mirage was amazing until 11-11 and then they threw a 4v2 with fallen playing some insane iq clutch. Must have been very disheartening to BB losing map 4 like that and they couldn't keep up at all in map 5

Everyone gonna be pointing fingers towards boombl4 who was 45-81 in all 5 maps, just an off day from him individually sadly
