This is a never ending story for this club that used to be so big in the Bundesliga. Hamburger SV usually had their problems later during the season, but now they are already experiencing struggles and could not win 3 out of the last 5 games. They could at least be 5 points ahead of the rest by now, but I anticipate they will be in the same position this year as they have been in the last 5 seasons or so? I don't remember exactly, but the club has so much potential that I thought it would not take them too long to get back into the Bundesliga.

the hamburger sv is already a mystery : they win against düsseldorf,schalke 04 and hertha bsc berlin . and against the three promoted teams they get a ridiculous point .
before the season almost every hsv fan expected 9 points . but only one point.... that is really much too little .
and the media report today that schalke 04 has found a new coach. Karel Geraerts from Belgium is to coach the schalke team in future. i have never heard this name before. 

I would rather be interested in understanding how a club lime Hamburger SV does not play in the 1. Bundesliga? They have everything it takes and it is one of the biggest cities in Germany. I liked to watch some games from them in the past. The good old times when Rafael van der Vaart still played there! I liked him as a player when he was playing his best. Schalke is Hamburg 2.0. Although maybe I am wrong and Schalke is really much worse than Hamburg of course. But it is the same range of problems. Actually this match looks quite even between the two teams and Schalke 04 can play quite well because in this match they are superior as home match but Schalke 04 is not strong opponent to be able to beat Hertha Berlin.
Maybe the next match against Karlsruher they can get win if they can still play a good game.

Talking about Bundesliga 2 it seems like St.Pauli or Hamburger who performed quite well by occupying the first and second positions, one of them could be promoted for next season to Bundesliga and looking at the Bundesliga standings there are several lower teams that have the chance of being relegated because they do not have good development there.

There are 8 players in the Hamburger SV team who played with their national teams last week. Some of them came back with physical problems. After the last international match week in September Hamburger SV had lost the following 2 matches. In any case, the international matches were often not good for their performance
