Are you gambling to make money or just for fun?

I was a gambling addict before until I later have to change, I have noticed I lost a lot when I was addicted unlike now that I played for fun. In the past, if I played one or two games, I usually win but I always did continue to bet until all my gain and money will be lost. When I was affected, I changed and only now gamble just during weekends unlike before that I gambled daily, I even sleep late because of gambling before. I noticed when I play just one or two games during the weekend, I win than I lose. Before, I saw gambling as a way to make money that it is a profession, but now seen gambling as fun and play just few quality bets.

How about you? Why are you gambling?

I seriously want to make money that I guess it worked from the beginning until successive loss. It wouldn't make a difference if I did it for fun because I still lose money right?

But I did enjoy what I did while I was betting, it keeps me busy while I drink my coffee in the middle of the night until I lose and its not enjoyable anymore.

Both, I mean why not try and win while enjoying gambling. I know not everyone would agree with me but that's just how I want to gamble. I rarely gamble these days(at least in crypto sites) so I'd like to have a fun time and enjoy the fund I've saved up to its fullest. also, not sure if everyone experience this but playing a certain gambling game(like poker, tong its, or other types of card games) relaxes me.

Gambling should be done for fun only. In this process of fun, if you make some money, that's an extra! It should not be played with a single minded goal to make money. If you do, that's when the addiction starts controlling your mind. I personally like crash games a lot and I play sometimes during weekends. But that is strictly for fun. I make money sometimes and I loose money sometimes. But since I do it for fun, my looses don't make me anxious and I know when exactly I have to stop. Gambling is just an adult's way of entertainment and nothing else!

Of course the goal is to make money out of gambling, however, when you have been in the game for so long, you will realized that instead of profiting, in the end you are going to lose more money and become addicted. So it's better to minimized your bet, just like what you are doing, just bet 1 or 2 and then wait for the result. I can understand your sentiments, me too has to stay at night just to wait for my bet to complete and know if I did lose or not. So health wise it is not that good. So right now, I bet only a few and then sleep well at night.

I mean c'mon. Every gambler I think have a goal in mind and that is to earn money. In my opinion money is also what drives gamblers to keep gambling so we can't just say that you are gambling just for fun. There is also the joy of getting monetary incentive whenever you decide to play. If you're not there to win then what's the point, right? If you want to have fun, play free games and not with your real money.

For fun. I never really considered gambling to win, even with my first games. Gambling games were just in general for me, a type of enjoyment. Way back in Highschool Poker and other types of card games suddenly became famous in the circle of our friends and hence why I was enamored with it. Then I started posting here, got some money from signatures that were sent directly to gambling site wallets, so instead of cashing out I said frick it why not play. Happy to hear that you have overcome your gambling addiction and i hope you can continue to gamble just for fun and don't slowly but surely get back to your former behaviour. You always have to be very cautious about that. I personally only gamble or place sporting bets from time to time but whenever i went to a casino or if i am transferring money i only use a certain amount of money that i decided before and when the money is gone i won't put in more money for the time being. So of course i am happy if i win a bet but i am not betting primarily because i want to make money with it because i think that is the wrong approach. If you start gambling because you want to or even worse, you need to make money, than this is a very bad starting point.

I put myself on Both , I wanna have fun but of course i wanna win , because i will be hypocrite if i will point that only Fun is my target and besides gambling is created to bring fun and of course a chance to win.

Only few that  know who plays gamble to be happy and just let the losses flow because majority of them are going to casino either online or in live to play and take winnings when they come home.
but of course only few had a successful nights

I gamble to remove some of the daily tension of our busy lifestyle that we live in.Mostly I just hit the spin button in slot machines for some fun but I try to play games with progressive bonus rounds that if you are lucky you can grab that big win too.The people who gamble to make money are the ones who never make money so don't make that your intention.

We all have different reason why we gamble and different purpose, as long as you are happy and you didn't borrow money just to gamble then that's fine. Don't be greedy so you wont ended up as an addict in gambling.

Gambling the meaning of the word is actually broad, there are various ways of responding to gambling itself, to be honest, both of the factors you mentioned are equally true (money and fun) at their core.

Someone bets at first as entertainment and fun, but behind it all the money generated, when experiencing victory, if we examine it more broadly, If you experience defeat, on the contrary, the two elements that you mentioned, money and pleasure, are not obtained.

conclusion: a person is involved in gambling, can not be judged, fun and money are common characteristics of gamblers, except: if it's the other way around, actually the two elements you mention are common in gamblers, including me (fun and making money).

I still remember the time when still spending many bucks in gambling.
"I'm just gambling for fun". That is what's into my mind whenever I deposit some money to gamble. The money is just a bonus for me because I'm always not expecting for me to win. Maybe this is also the reason why I'm not addicted to gambling at that time and I stopped it very quick.

Since I'm just gambling for fun and I can get that excitement doing other things then why do I need to spend money to gamble when I can get the same fun when I do other things. Well, maybe there are some who are the same like me or there are some who are gambling just for money and most are both. There is nothing wrong with all of it. Just be disciplined enough and have self control in order for you to prevent getting addicted into it .

For whatever reason that we gamble, it is not totally for fun because if it was for fun then it will be regarded as game. Game and gamble are not the same although they might have a symbol bringing them alike but not the same. That symbol is the channel which could either be any of the sports we play, like to watch or discuss or it is the casinos. Therefore, gambling involves playing with money with the aim of making additional money to the one we had while game is the fun type of it that involves no money. So friend if you have reduced your rate of playing gamble maybe as an addict to the usual player that plays during the weekend with few games and wins, it doesn't mean you have found a better way to play and win, no. You may have the times you will be losing too in times to come if you choose the wrong games to put your money on.

This is why I only gamble the money that I make in crypto. But even with that, I am a small time player, I really just use extra funds. Because I only play just for the sake of fun. So not a way to make money. Because if you only bet small, don't expect to win big time. When I bet for example in sports, I treat it as a treat to myself and if I win, lucky me but if I lose, no hard feelings.

I do not gamble every day but sometimes, I gamble and do not have a specific time when I gamble.
I only gamble if I want and have money, but even if I have money and do not want to gamble, I will not gamble.
I gamble because of fun and kills my free time so I do not intend to win money.
But I win on the game, no matter how much the money, I will not try to chase more winning because I know that I can lose the win money before.
I see you can change your gambling habit, and now, you can control yourself to playing gambling. That is good for you. At least, you can solve your addiction to gambling.
