I presume you mean the word "small" to be a indicator of the size of their investment. A small capital can be put in bitcoin or can be put in altcoin. In the first case you would have had a profit by now if you bought below 30k USD but if you made the mistake of buying at the high then you have to hold and wait.

If you go with the second case, buying altcoins, then I guess the statement make more sense. But honestly, altcoins always get driven by bitcoin price and if that is not rising, dont expect your altcoins to rise.

Bitcoin is entering the bearish market and that means it will be looking for the best rate to stabilize its rate and there will be a stable season when all of crypto will be very stable.

I don't think anyone here can tell you how long the market will be in this downward trend and when the market starts to grow and when we will see increasing prices again. I am also a small investor and at the moment it really hurts to see my portfolio losing value almost every single day. At the moment my holdings are almost worthless and they are down around 93% since the beginning of may. 
I also have a hard time to understand that kind of market movements i mean i understand that when a news about a new crypto ban in china comes out that the market will react to that and starts falling, but for yesterdays and todays price drop i don't really see a reason. I guess we small investors just have to live with that.

greedy investors is the main reason why market still have no improvement since the hard fall, just imagine when there's a small pump it always suddenly slide down back to the current support,. So who do you think is dumping? Of course those greedy people who use to sell just to make profits despite of the situation.. There's no way to blame big investors because there's no huge impact when market fluctuate after the progress. It's very obvious to be honest.

That's just how it goes every day since the volatility is still around us the market flow chart will not change at all. Going up and down is part of how the industry gives its investors chances to choose the right coins to invest their money with. Most of the time people who gained some decent amount of income today will probably not gain tomorrow and the other one who loses his capital the other day, won't have the same result the next time he invested. That's just how the money works in the crypto market, everyone has their own chance of winning depends on what coins they've chosen.
