This is not any official thread or guide to the newbies but just an advice from one member to other members that what we need to do and what we can avoid on this forum and make some effective contributions on the forum to promote healthy environment here.Here is brief discussion for such things:
TRY TO DO:
1)LEARN BEFORE POSTING:If you want to post something than you must have knowledge about that particular thing aside from asking some help.If you come across any article or good post than try to learn from it and have complete knowledge about that thing instead of writing anything irrelevent in the post.This will increase your post quality also and make it a habit which will help you.
2)POST IN PROPER FORMAT:Try to post in proper format like quote the right person and in right manner or any document or image you want to share must be in proper and attractive format and your post must not look messy.Use tools above writing area to write up your posts.
3)SEND MERITS AS YOU EARN THEM:You all are familiar with merits and smerits.You receive merits for the quality posts made by you and you can send half of them as you earn them to other members.So you must encourage other members by sending merits instead of piling them up wit you.So you must make proper utilization of merit system.
4)ACTIVE AND EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION ON FORUM:This is one of the most important thing which we must keep in mind that we need to contribute effectively and promote healthy discussions on the forum which in turn can reward you in form of merit and rank up.You need both merits and activity to reach next rank.Give useful information to members and learn from them in return and just don't post anything irrelevent and shitposting.Be an useful assest to the forum.
5)DYOR AND HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT YOU ARE POSTING:What you are writing and going to post on the forum you must be aware about that and have enough knowledge about that topic so that you don't sound like fool in your posts.You can have idea about the ongoing discussion from the members post below the @OP post and you can get an idea what is being discussed there.Then simply Do your own research on that topic and found some details regarding it.
TRY NOT TO DO:
1)DON'T ASK OR BEG FOR MERITS:This is happening a lot on the forum these days as newbie simply ask for merits but it's wrong way because if the quality of your post is good enough to merit then you won't face any such situations and will automatically gets merit from members on the forum.There are many new members who have registered on forum this year only and reach full rank or even near senior rank merit but only lags merit.Learn from them and work on your posts quality.
2)ONLY COMPLETE YOUR SIGNATURE REQUIREMENTS:Most of the members do the same thing and it seems they are only posting to complete their signature requirements of say 20-25 posts per week and which requires pure perfection because some posts get deleted by moderators.But still they keep doing the same way and just limits them to complete only their weekly posts to get paid.But you need to go one step extra and be active participant of forum.
3)SEE THIS FORUM AS SOURCE OF INCOME:I have recently came across so many posts which ask how to earn money on the forum and was surprised to see how new members perceive this forum? They simply make an account to join bounty campaigns or for signature campaigns to earn money not as an member of discussion forum which is sad to see.The primary goal is to learn and share knowledge so work on it rest comes with time.
4)POST IRRELEVENT INFORMATION:If you are not sure about what you are posting then simply avoid it instead of providing irrelevent information to the members which is not solid and only a rumour in the market.Only share that information for which you are sure and post in relevent board.
