I said this earlier in one of the topics Yes, members of the government at the present time are mostly elderly people who are very old and who find it difficult to accept new changes easily, there is always a conflict between the old and the new and it is difficult for the elderly to give up their old things that they used to use since A long time, but at the end will come a generation of young people in government who will know the value and importance of Bitcoin and believe that the Bitcoin era has begun and that the train of progress cannot be stopped.

I don't think so. in my country many young government officials still reject bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It's not about age. It is about the mindset and ego of leaders. Indeed, I admit that in other countries the governments that lead the country/region are the older generation. But in my country, many young people have served in government. Even our mayor is around 35-37 years old. They still reject crypto and bitcoin.

In my personal opinion, they reject bitcoin because they are afraid that crypto users will not pay taxes.

The Government also reject Bitcoin because they basically can't control it. Even without the Government legalizing it, Cryptocurrency is still growing globally. Many people are getting into the Crypto world. The Government knows the important and value of bitcoin. Inflation is something that couldnt really be stopped out but doesnt mean that people would really be making full switch up but at least on cryptos existence we could really be having an option whenever things turns out to be bad looking.It does indeed have that indefinite value because it would really be always varying or depending on overall demand and good thing that its decentralized nor being controlled by someone.

It's a government that has always been a barrier to Bitcoin becomes legalized and recognized in every country.  We know that the government has been always combating fraud and illegal activities inside and out in a country and cryptocurrencies are prone to use by those fraudsters.  Possible also government thinks that Bitcoin is a threat to the financial economy system or in the banking system which they don't allow it or else the reason why they are trying to control it.

Yes you are so right but you missing one point - bitcoin will be less effective in the future and other currencies will be way more effective . you can't make older people to understand this technology some of them can't even use computer of phone , you are right about that . Op, you're trying to justify restrictions by ignorance, but I don't think it's fair. These people are getting paid to learn about innovations like Bitcoin, to research existing risks and benefits, and they're getting paid with taxpayers' money. Making uninformed decisions is unacceptable. Hopefully, though, you're right that younger generations will be more open to cryptos and this will lead to authorities actually doing their jobs and researching the topic before imposing restrictions. They know its nature which is decentralized and volatile, hence they do everything in their power to destroy it because it holds too much power they cant control. The supply of bitcoin in circulation, the price of bitcoin, and its decentralized nature are great factors they consider. They can't take over the aforementioned factors so instead of accepting it, they make it illegal. Unless of course, they see benefits on accepting it in their country such as taxing the users.

You have a point, some of the people who are in power in a lot of countries are the ones who are still using old methods and do not believe in change, the world has completely changed and yet they are still using the same old methods that have been used for years, and most of them are making decisions and passing laws to protect their own investments and personal interest, and passing a law to make bitcoin legal will be against those, and that is why we need the new generation and some legit people who have a true vision to the future to take their place.

That's correct. Bitcoin has already proved it's worth over the last few years. Despite the hardest dumps it has shown that it could recover from the lowest point.
Even in the current pandemic when all other assets were dumping bitcoin was the one soaring high and breaking the records.

Bitcoin is currently not 15 years old, or exactly 12 years since its emergence in 2009, And maybe what you say is true. Currently, only a few people know Bitcoin, or it can be said that the younger generation knows Bitcoin.

As long the old ones not disrupt what the younger do. I think in government, there are something that really strict or maybe sometimes there are something that hard to change because old ones who still have control in it. But maybe if bitcoin can be adopted, my hope it not replace fiat because there will be strong power who can do anything with it. Although bitcoin has many advantages, it will not be easy to replace fiat. without having to replace fiat, bitcoin can still exist as an alternative means of payment, that's more than enough. after all bitcoin is also very effective for investment and trading.
