For me it is not really an addiction if you are already dreaming about a certain thing or person. When you dream of Bitcoin, it does not mean that you are addicted to it. The sub-conscious likes to put every little detail you have encountered in your real life, plus places, interests, people you met or part of your life, they put it all in your head while you sleep. So you dream, and then you dream of Bitcoin and crypto and you got rich and all. I mean that is pretty normal.

For most of us here, we dream to own bitcoin because its the most profitable investment for now but being paranoid on it is i think a big obsession. Not totally addicted but if not controlled, it will still fall into addiction. And even if its bitcoin addiction, its still not a good thing for everyone.

But dreaming big about bitcoin can be a positive motivation for all of us. So let us focus on our goal and stick to what we think is right and can be profitable in the future.

Yup its definitely an obsession not an addiction.

Be it an obsession, an addiction or even an infection lol, i don't really care about the proper grammar at this point. The thing is that it is better i am addicted, obsessed or even infected with something that gives me money rather than something that takes money away from me.

Bitcoin has been and will be a blessing to many, it has changed lives and giving some hope. It has brought freedom. Bitcoin is a good addiction, obsession or even an infection.  Grin

I don't think that is addiction, I also exhibit that trait, in my own case whenever I watched a soccer match, during my sleep the soccer event I watched will sort of reveal in a dream, although it only happens that very day I watched the match, in as much as it doesn't affect me negatively health wise or has nothing to do with financial recklessness associated with gambling likewise in the case of the OP, there isn't anything to worry about, I watched chart on my devices both phones and laptop everyday, when I started I do see it when I am sleeping, however now it doesn't occur to me again.

This Castle Craig Hospital on the Scottish border has a history of more than 30 years. The hospital is surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of the countryside on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Previously, the hospital has been committed to quitting various addictive symptoms for patients, including drug addiction, gambling addiction, alcohol addiction, etc. Since the emergence of the new pathology of cryptocurrency addiction, the hospital is creating an addiction for “cryptocurrency fans” The first treatment. The hospital began to introduce a set of inpatient treatment programs for patients with potential "transaction addiction" to help them get rid of their paranoia and obsession with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Do you have the following problems? If so, I suggest you go to a psychiatrist first, this problem is really common, investment is risky, and financial management should be prudent. A good attitude is the beginning of success.  See if you are a Bitcoin "addict"

Quote

1. Have you spent a lot of time researching various cryptocurrencies?

2. Have you already spent a lot of money on cryptocurrency?

3. Have you ever felt unwilling to reduce the volume of cryptocurrency trading or give up trading altogether?

4. If you deliberately reduce the time spent inquiring virtual currency online, you find yourself a little fidgety and anxious?

5. When some things in real life are tricky, or when you are in a depressed mood, would you go online to see virtual currency transactions to escape reality?

6. After losing in the transaction, do you have a strong desire to continue betting and want to win back?

7. Regarding how much time and money you spent on cryptocurrency, you might lie to people around you?

8. Have you ever embezzled illegal money for transactions?

9. Does cryptocurrency trading affect your relationship with people around you, or affect your work?

10. After losing all the money, have you ever tried to borrow money from others to make a comeback?

Whether in forums or in real life, because of the failure of investing in Bitcoin, there are many phenomena such as losing all of your property, killing people, and suicide. In fact, this is a kind of pathological manifestation. Come on, adjust your own psychological changes.

I cant say its addiction but might be an obsession. I am somewhat similar to what you currently experience because of the positive movement of the market compared to the previous month. Im having thoughts about bitcoin and the possible things that can happen if the price climb up further.

Don't worry mate. Wait for the inevitable bear market(whenever that will be) and I could almost guarantee that it will fix your "addiction", as you're probably going to hate seeing the Bitcoin logo by then Tongue
This made me laugh because its true. Addiction can turn to frustration. Grin

Indeed, obsession is the most appropriate description, which shows that you are very attached to Bitcoin. I think you may invest a sum of money in Bitcoin that is not small for you, or you have high expectations for Bitcoin. You have high expectations for Bitcoin, but your behavior like this may be counterproductive, and being addicted to it will make some of your behaviors emotionally manipulated.

Perhaps it is your freshness. I guess you just invested in Bitcoin not long ago, otherwise this psychology will not last until now. I don’t think you should pay too much attention to the price. This will cause you a great psychological burden or put you in a long-term tension. Treat your status as a simple investment. Don't panic because of certain news. Your current status can easily make yourself lost. Love is not a mistake. Excessive love will lose your heart.

Yup its definitely an obsession not an addiction.

My question is how long have you been obsessed with Bitcoin?

If its 2 months below... then its not yet an obsession so getting out maybe easy if you find other activities to be fascinating

if its more than that, then you can slowly switch your obsession to other things. Cards, celebrities, anything that fits your palette.

Yes, thats is addiction, not yet obsession like you said, and i think it will loosen up. It is common for newbie that come to cryptocurrencies
For me personally Bitcoin just tool of my investment, not more than that.

During the period when I invested a lot of money, I often opened the exchange and observed it repeatedly. This addictive behavior exists and is normal. One thing I even wake up every day is to look at the price, but now I am not like I used to be. My life is not just Bitcoin, I also have to look at other aspects. I can't just think of Bitcoin. In addition to Bitcoin, you will have a lot of things to do.

Lately, I exhibited some character which to me is an addiction.

Whenever I close my eyes, I see the bitcoin logo and price just like the way it is on my device at first I thought it was normal and will fade away with time but it has persisted to this very moment while I was discussing with my other Bitcoin lovers they told me that now an addict.

So I would like to ask, is there anything like a Bitcoin addict if yes then please tell me how to become one, cause I will gladly get addicted to Bitcoin again, and again I will become a Bitcoin pro-addict if that is the case.

Will you get addicted to Bitcoin if that is possible?

That is normal. When I started trading Bitcoin few years ago I always do more monitoring from time to time. I want to know what is the price of BTC again and again but as of now.. I do some checking but not the way I was years ago. I am very confident that BTC price will not go down easily so I can sleep well and eat well.

You need to find the balance in you, at first it's normal to keep doing things as you are mostly enjoying visiting your wallet,

But somehow there's should be limitation and there's should be other things to keep yourself busy. Most of those who know how to balance.
Their time is the one who really enjoys life. It's not all about your investment, but there are other things that will let you keep never to put all your time to a single thing that may stress you in the long run.

This is the habit of everyone. Especially after the transaction, I will always watch the exchange and care about the price.
When you do other things, you forget. Most people will always pay attention to the price in the morning and evening (asked many friends this is the case)

You are very similar to me actually when i just lie down about to sleep , In my mind there are always graphs of numbers as well as what i'm dreaming about , For example , After waking up the next morning the price of BTC will rebound or vice versa . It seems like the feeling around my life is always a shadow of BTC , About all I spend 80% of my time sitting at my computer and watching the market price move, I have nothing else to do.

An addiction or just an obsession that doesn't live up to what the OP expects? if someone does not have A, then that person will affect his psychology.

Like for example and the OP is interested in Bitcoin. Where interest is part of the process of getting to know Bitcoin. I see it in the early stages where the OP getting to know Bitcoin and falling in love would be beneficial. Because the name addiction, it will have an impact on both physical and mental psychology.

Because the name addiction, it will have an impact on both physical and mental psychology.
absolutely right, it makes sense. having a high obsession with bitcoin will have a very negative impact even if we can't have bitcoin it will be very easy to influence ourselves to get bitcoin in any way. all that can make us do anything to be able to get bitcoin even the wrong way.

Its obsession mate, Bitcoin gives a lot of profit and benefits to its holder it's better to grab the opportunity to make an investment and try to earn with the use of the bitcoin, also don't get carried away like most of your investments is came from the merch, designs just with the logo of the bitcoin, of course, it's just a different way it's better to have a bitcoin itself to hold it's most profitable because you can sell rather than those items just having of Bitcoin logo.

Storing bitcoins in my own wallet is certainly better and safer, I store bitcoins and some altcoins in one wallet, namely Trust Wallet, I memorize 12 keywords so that the private key is safe, I will sell when the price is very profitable and change my economy significantly. and I'm sure it will happen soon.
Well, we all have our own plans and dream about big in bitcoin and i think that's pretty normal as long as we don't do it in a way that will harm ourselves like addiction do. Because when you become addicted to it, you tend to become uncontrollable and when you think things does not happen according to what you believe will happen, you easily become frustrated and unable to control yourself already. And definitely when you get addicted to bitcoin, it brings along with you negative things.

So better divert your mind into some other hobbies or activities. Do not just focus on crypto all the time because if you do so, addiction will really happen to you and just expect the worst things once you see the market change and suddenly becomes bearish. For now, i think you're just too fond about bitcoin that gives you clear obsession.

It is time that you consult a psychologist before going further and getting out of hand  Tongue. These are not normal circumstance and anyone sane will not be having these thoughts all the time. May be you are spending too much time online and you are stressing out a lot and you need a vaccation.

So I would like to ask, is there anything like a Bitcoin addict if yes then please tell me how to become one, cause I will gladly get addicted to Bitcoin again, and again I will become a Bitcoin pro-addict if that is the case.
What is the end goal of being an addict, to book the profit and covert them to fiat  Tongue.

When you do end up on getting bitcoin on a bad or illegal way then it would already be considered wrong but if you do accumulate on legal aspect then I don't see for it to be a problem.

Cant really blame out on why some people do really get obsessed on accumulating coins considering or looking into its potential then its not really that a surprising thing.

Addicted on the sense of investment isn't bad as long you don't do something bullshit.

Bitcoin addic is good because it means we believe in bitcoin and also believe that it can be profitable. it's just how we manage it whether we will gain or even lose. it all depends on how we can handle our own assets. bitcoin is still be the primadonna of crypto where the price is currently soaring higher than several years before. This is what makes many people believe that the price of bitcoin will continue to soar and compete to own it. if we can collect btc from now and hold it well then i think it will be profitable in the future.
