I developed a high interest in Bitcoin lately want to accept Bitcoin for my sales and servicing company, am already working with a programmer to develop software or an application that will aid my transactions using the Bitcoin lightning network.

Congratulations to introduced your self as a bitcoin merchants. Soo you will be called with that name. We have soo many wishes to you soo that you can achive your goal and your business definitely run very good. We all are in bitcoin all because of business what ever angle you see the motive is about business but we can't get freedom from government. But you get it and you are doing this thats really cool. I also have a wish to make an online store and payment method will be crypto.  I wish government approved bitcoin then i will made it. Lets hope for the best.

This is a brilliant move and I know your business will be better for it, most especially if your customers are informed about bitcoin and know how to use it, most especially using the bitcoin lightning network to make payments. I know the development will not be easy, but with technical knowledge, you will be able to scale through.

OP, I think it is an excellent initiative. Congratulations on taking this important step.
By accepting bitcoin as a means of payment, we are only concerned with scalability.
The Ligtning network seems like the best option for bitcoin at the moment.
I have not used the Strike wallet that LN uses to be able to recommend, I wish we had easy to use solutions to send and receive bitcoin.

I have the BlueWallet but have not tested one bit how it works to recommend it.
I think that in your case it could be useful to teach your clientele in a simple and motivating way how to use bitcoin, it could be a good marketing strategy.

In my eyes this is really a great idea and good step. Hope this will increase your store selling rate. Accepting Bitcoin as a payment is really a great thinking. In future hope everyone will do it. But your developers need to be more conscious about a little things. Otherwise you should face big trouble. So gather knowledge from whom who accept Bitcoin as a payment in his/her shop. I hope you will get them from this forum.

You can use the typical crappy BitPay, but most definitely go with BTCPay[1]. Free with zero fees, and completely open-source. And yes, lightning[2] is available too.

I was about to recommend the same btcpay too as it has low operation fees and is user-friendly compared to other lightning network payment gateways, but again I will also advise you to keep on with the development of your payment app as you said with that you will code in some features which will be unique to only your specification and will not be a public app because of a hack in the future.

Good step bro. This is what many people have been waiting for. With the many development of payment programs through applications or whatever, it is very much needed by someone who holds bitcoin. We will be made easy by that. One-touch transactions with no hassle at all. Hope the plan is successful.

BTCPayServer is completely open source and has been viewed and audited by lots of developers already. It's not like BTCPay is for holding and storing bitcoin, you only accept payments through it.

Starting from scratch to develop an application might have its own bugs and will take some time to perfect as you need to test and not rush the proces. You might want to be careful about how you price your items in bitcoin because the customers might be paying alright now but the next day, it becomes more expensive, hopefully it can be solved by what you're going to use to integrate bitcoin payment in your system.

I don't know if it's going to make things better when you do this, but I think you could give your customers discount when they use the payment option for bitcoin, it could in a way encourage them to use bitcoin but at the same time makes you a helper in spreading bitcoin through engagement instead of just curiosity.

we can say this is a very good idea, if you accept payments in bitcoin, because we can make payments in just two easy ways i.e. scan and pay. No need to register, swipe card, type PIN or sign anything. All it takes to be able to accept Bitcoin payments is to display the QR Code from the bitcoin wallet app and allow the other party to scan your phone, or touch both phones at the same time, hopefully with you accepting bitcoin payments, can make it easier for us, and people who want to learn more about bitcoin..

I am so glad someone is opting for the Lightning Network and not the original Bitcoin (BTC) payment option. I personally feel people are put off from the concept of paying with Bitcoin, when they have to wait for transactions on the Blockchain to confirm. (Some of these transactions during congested periods, can take a few hours) 

The Lightning Network is fast and perfect for use, when you want to use Bitcoin as a payment option. OP, thank you for doing this.... I hope you are going to implement some kind of incentive to encourage people to use this. (Example : 10% discount for people paying with the Lightning Network)

As much as bitcoin is easily transferrable I would never ever treat it as a medium of exchange just as cash would. With its ever volatility in nature,  it is kind hard to track but I would rather see it as much like gold... a great store of value. So to pay something with bitcoin is really not my cup of tea.

pay with krypto, you can say wow, because it sounds very cool, but for me personally I can't accept it, if the company pays everything with bitcoin, but I will receive half my salary with fiat money, and half with bitcoin, because in the country I can't accept purchases using crypto yet, so that's the reason I only want to receive half of my salary, paid in bitcoin..

Do you check the liability of using bitcoin as a payment method? In some country (mine for example), using bitcoin for business is fined for a huge money and if you commit again, you will probably go to jail. Not all place on the world is healthy for bitcoin to thrive.

What i can suggest you maybe really focus on money management. Because as company there are employees which must get paid too and with bitcoin volatily, company that accept bitcoin as payment should know when to maybe sell the coins so they are not lose in money but will be different if all people in  company agree to decide when want to sell their coins by themself.
