If we read the article, then Litecoin is included in the list of popular cryptos in 2021. But for me, LTC is not getting new breakthroughs in 2021. Even Litecoin's bull run is slower than other old coins. I think BNB is more trending in 2021 with the presence of their new blockchain, BSC. Or another coin that has a big impact on the 2021 bull run, the Solana coin.

For me without a doubt I would put them in this order:

1.-Solana
2.-DOT
3.-UNI
4.-BNB

and there are some more that I have skipped, but there are other options that are infallible, but above all Solana there are even articles dedicated only to Solana as the coin that is the most winning in 2 months, and probably the most winning of the year, this wants say that those who have invested here have everything they need to keep winning.

And BNB that made a huge leap from 340USD to over 650USD, this is something impressive.

I agree with Solana on that list. BNB also surprised me, keep in mind that BNB was at $30 1 year ago. Now DOT ant UNI also had an excellent performance, but for me personally their impact was lower. Of course, one should not forget that UNI kicked off the whole DeFi department.

Every one is going with his own choice about best coins of this year but probably if we check all market then we have very few those change fortune for many like Shib it's mostly recognized as meme coin but have some big impact on crypto market with few other usual coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Doge but few still need some good time for having big impact like Solana, Polygon, ADA and Sand, Mana, Gala because these were doing good for having big investments and very busy schedule for investors and traders.

I totally agree with you mate, the most popular coins for the year isn't going to put money in our pockets, what we need to discus about are the hidden gems that are yet to see the limelight, those that are yet to enter the center stage, like it's always said, the early birds eats the biggest worms, we can try to be early in this type of projects to enable us earn big profit when eventually every one else start to discover the project and its potentials.
