the quarter-finals team was drawn, China as winning A group meets Denmark as runner up B group, While Indonesia as winning C group will meet Malaysia as runner up D group. Interesting match Indonesia vs Malaysia was meet 27 times on other tournaments, so far Indonesia enough strong 21 won. We have optimism that can beat them because Indonesia has strong women's doubles, women's singles, and mixed doubles.

They did not play good as well in the Olympic and seems that they need more tournament to rebuild their performance.

Kevin Sanjaya/Marcus Gideon are the men's doubles players who are the mainstay of Indonesia, and I see their game on you tube is very good and maybe their performance is currently experiencing a decline.
And it must be admitted that Malaysian men's doubles players Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi were better than them and were able to beat two rounds with a landslide score of 12-21 and 15-21.

The Japan vs China final is underway and it looks like China is better than Japan.

China just won another Sudirman cup by beating Japan with 3-1 in the final. Most surprising result for me, was in the Men's single with the loss of world number 1 Momota against Shi Yu Qi.

This is 12th for champions. they created the winner; 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2019, dan now, 2021. they defend the title. Shi Yu Qi was quite satisfied to defeat No.1 player Kento Momota. It's a treatment for him after lose versus young player Thailand, Kunlavut Vitidsarn several days ago.

Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan women's double who make sure china wins 3 - 1. I remembered Polli/Rahayu defeat them in the Olympic final Tokyo, and Now they created an achievement as a determinant.

China is very strong in Sudirman Cup final, it can even be said that in all the trophies they have always achieved good results, Japan must have hoped to get a point from Momota but unfortunately he lost.
I only watched the 4th match in the women's doubles, the second set when the Japanese doubles could equalize 7-7, I think they are very likely to win in this set and there will be a third set, but the Chinese pair played well.
Congratulations to China they deserve it, next is Thomas and Uber Cup.

Uber Indonesia will face the power of France in the second match of Group A which I think must remain vigilant because France's strength is so evenly distributed, both in the singles and doubles sector, they have tenacious and unyielding players. but I believe Indonesia will beat France like Indonesia beat Germany 4-1.
and for Thomas, Indonesia is currently at the top of Group A of the 2020 Thomas Cup, and in the second match later, Indonesia will meet Thailand which must be watched out for because they have made a surprise by defeating Chinese Taipei. and Indonesia must deploy its best and most prepared forces.

Looking at the list of groups where the Thomas and Uber Indonesia teams are, they shouldn't have any trouble advancing to the next round.
For Uber, the toughest opponent is Japan, while for Thomas, China Taipei and Thailand it might be difficult, but with 2 Indonesian men's doubles, which are still the best in the world, they should be able to give points.
I really hope that the current Indonesian Uber team can give surprises.

Thomas cup, Indonesia on A group has been pass to the next round. Korea and Denmark on B group also have been to the next round.
On C group China and India are available for the next round. D group still waiting for the end of the round.

Uber cup, Japan and Indonesia on A group have been to pass to the next round, Thailand and India on B group also have been to the next round.
On C group Korea and Taiwan are available for the next round. on D group China and Denmark also Pass to the next round.

Seems not much different with the Sudirman Cup.

The only chance of Indonesia to win a cup is in Thomas Cup (but still not favorite IMO), while Uber Cup is pretty much in China's hand. Yes, not much change in Thomas Cup, almost always the same countries. But, in Uber Cup we see India and Thailand breaking the barrier in the last 10 years. Anyway, too much internal problems for Indonesia to reclaim its superiority in badminton. So, I advise you guys not to get too disappointed if they don't perform well.

I had no idea there was a badminton thread here, and kind of surprised that there is a professional /global league.  That being said, I absolutely love this game.  In high school we used to play badminton for about a month, every day.  We would first play games for fun, then held a tournament and the winner would then face out teacher lol.  Unfortunately no one has ever beaten him lol.

That's true, it's a shame even though Indonesian badminton players have very good abilities because of internal problems within the federation so that Indonesian badminton seems to just walk in place without progress.
I see this year still with the same dominance as before without any significant changes, China and Japan will be great competitors to win the championship in both the Thomas and Uber cup.

Team Uber Thailand should not be underestimated, they have progressed very fast and they just beat India by a landslide score.
I hope there will be a surprise this year for the new champion, it's boring to see only China and Japan competing for the trophy.
maybe Uber will be won by Thailand and Thomas will be won by Indonesia. hopefully so
