I think quite risky if you plan to invest in Ethereum at the current price. I see the price of ethereum has experienced a good increase earlier this month, along with the increase in the price of bitcoin itself. but if you plan for the long term then I don't think it's too late, moreover, the percentage of Ethereum price is currently close to new ATH. and most likely come at the end of december ,I hope it's true.

If you want to get a bigger profit, it's better to wait for the ETH price to drop. Now the price of ETH has gone up several times and I don't think now is the right time to buy it. The current price of ETH is around $4,800 in my view this is a very expensive price, I believe the price of ETH will also experience a decline in price someday and that is the right time to buy it.

As of today, ethereum's value is currently playing at $3,907 , I think it's best buy now while the price is dipping and make this as your advantage to gain profits and hold it, forget the gas fee because it's one of the reasons that will make you hesitate instead of investing. Only few trust ethereum as you claim and if I'm to rate ethereum in terms of used case, I will give 5/10 but the price is highly watch by its bag holder. I dislike ethereum as a layer 1 protocol simply because of its scalability. I feel disappointed sending a $ and ask to pay $30 as gas which even depends on the traffic congestion on its network, but these bag holders will keep pushing the price for their own benefit.
Buy ethereum if you have the money but the fundamental is poor in my opinion.
